Napoli and Juventus Competing for Two EPL Targets

Napoli and Juventus Competing for Two EPL Targets

Juventus have joined Napoli among the teams tracking Jadon Sancho, who will leave Manchester United again, and both Serie A giants have inquired about Nicolas Jackson, who might be expendable for Chelsea.
According to Sky, the Bianconeri have tested the waters for the winger. He has a manageable price tag, €25M. However, his lofty salary is an issue for both sides. The Red Devils are seeking a permanent sale. He can't technically leave on loan since he's under contract only until 2026.

In addition to tussling for Sancho, along with Fenerbahce and at least one Saudi franchise, Napoli and Juventus have also probed Nicolas Jackson. He's under fire at Chelsea due to a silly red card in the FIFA Club World Cup. They paid €37M to acquire him from Villarreal two years ago. He put up 13 goals and 6 goals in 2024/2025.
Per Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the Senegalese international has a €50/60M valuation that will be hard to meet for the suitors. He's a fallback plan for the Azzurri. They want to see it through for Darwin Nunez before changing target. That also goes for the Manchester United outcast. The Partenopei are focusing primarily on Dan Ndoye and Federico Chiesa, Alfredo Pedullà informs. They have also just rekindled their Noa Lang pursuit.
Our Take on Juventus and Napoli Eyeing Sancho and Jackson
The former would be a nice reclamation project and is not too expensive at this point, but he'd have to bring down his wages to manageable figures, which is always a tall order. The latter is likely too pricey. As far as the Old Lady is concerned, he might be too similar to Randal Kolo Muani, assuming he'll stay.

Chelsea signing outlines desire to play ‘aggressive' football

Liam Delap has said he relishes the aggressive side of the game and does not want to change his style after signing for Chelsea. Delap has joined Chelsea in a £30m deal from Ipswich Town, after scoring 12 Premier League goals last season despite the club's relegation. The 22-year-old is currently with Chelsea at the FIFA Club World Cup and is set to start as the Blues take on ES Tunis on Wednesday night. Advertisement Nicolas Jackson's red card against Flamengo will hand Delap a chance as he looks to stake his claim to be Enzo Maresca's first-choice forward. Delap has developed a reputation for a full-throttle brand of football. Last season, no Premier League player picked up more yellow cards than Delap (12), while only one committed more fouls (72). The England u-21 international admits the physical battle is something he enjoys but says he is keen to stay on the 'right side' of the edge. 'I love the battles. I always have since I was a kid,' Delap said in an interview with talkSPORT. 'I really love the aggressive side of [the game] and the competitive nature of the squad. It's got to be controlled at times, but it's my game ultimately and I enjoy it. Advertisement 'I think everyone playing football plays close to the edge a little bit. You have to be aggressive and on the front foot all the time. 'I've always had that same edge since I was a kid and I'm not going to change the way my mindset is. You've just got to make sure you're on the right side [of it].' Manchester United enquire about Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku

Christopher Nkunku (27) is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, however, he may not be leaving the Premier League. Nkunku, initially through injury, has struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge since his big-money move from RB Leipzig. Last season, he featured sparingly under Enzo Maresca, who often opted to play the Frenchman in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Despite travelling with the Blues to the USA for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup, it is thought that the former Paris Saint-Germain forward will be on the move. Advertisement Manchester United could be willing to welcome Nkunku to Old Trafford, according to a report from L'Équipe. The Red Devils missed out on securing any form of European football for next season, but they are looking to invest heavily this summer. Matheus Cunha has already arrived, but two more forwards are sought after. They have, therefore, contacted Nkunku's entourage, although no bid has yet been submitted for the Frenchman. L'Équipe cite interest from other unnamed clubs, none of which are engaged in serious negotiations. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
