AC Milan Prepare Player-Plus Cash Offer For Inter Milan & Juventus Target
AC Milan are ready to offer Lorenzo Colombo plus cash to Parma for Inter Milan and Juventus linked defender Giovanni Leoni. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Gialloblu would prefer a straight cash bid, however. Advertisement It is certainly no secret that Giovanni Leoni is attracting transfer interest. Parma only signed the teenage defender last summer. Reportedly they paid Sampdoria a fee of around €7 million. However, that bet looks to have paid off in a big way for the Gialloblu. Giovanni Leoni enjoyed an outstanding season with Parma. Particularly towards the end of the campaign. The 18-year-old looked extremely comfortable at the heart of Parma's defense as they avoided relegation under Cristian Chivu. AC Milan Prepare Colombo + Cash Offer For Inter & Juventus Target Giovanni Leoni PARMA, ITALY – DECEMBER 01: Giovanni Leoni of Parma Calcio during the Serie A match between Parma and SS Lazio at Stadio Ennio Tardini on December 01, 2024 in Parma, Italy. (Photo by) Chivu reportedly wants to bring Giovanni Leoni with him to Inter Milan. Advertisement However, the Nerazzurri are far from the only club interested in the teenage defender. Juventus are also eyeing up a move for Leoni. Moreover, it looks to be AC Milan who are really moving fast to sign the Italy Under-21 international. According to the Gazzetta, the Rossoneri's current strategy is to try and convince Parma with a player-plus-cash bid. The newspaper report that Milan have put striker Lorenzo Colombo on the table. The 23-year-old has just finished a season on loan with Empoli, having also turned out for Lecce and Monza in recent seasons. In addition to Colombo, Milan are offering €13-15 million, reports the Gazzetta. However, Parma have made clear to the Rossoneri that they only want a cash fee for Leoni.

‘Axis Of Rebuilding' – Chivu Works Closely With Lautaro Martinez To Put His Stamp On Inter Milan
'Axis Of Rebuilding' – Chivu Works Closely With Lautaro Martinez To Put His Stamp On Inter Milan Cristian Chivu is working closely with Lautaro Martinez as he looks to rebuild Inter Milan in his own image. Today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, highlight how the coach and captain have formed an 'axis' to guide the Nerazzurri through this summer. Advertisement New Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu is having to work on the fly somewhat. Until a few weeks ago, he will hardly have expected that he'd be in charge of the Nerazzurri at this stage. But the departure of Simone Inzaghi completely overhauled the situation. And Chivu's Inter are straight into the action. The Nerazzurri are in the United States for the Club World Cup. Therefore, the Romanian is having to put his stamp on the team right away. Chivu & Lautaro Forming The 'Axis' Of A New Inter Milan PASADENA, CALIFORNIA – JUNE 17: Cristian Chivu, Head Coach of FC Internazionale Milano, reacts during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 group E match between CF Monterrey and FC Internazionale Milano at Rose Bowl Stadium on June 17, 2025 in Pasadena, California. (Photo by) In the view of the Gazzetta, the most important figure in Chivu's new Inter has been captain Lautaro Martinez. Advertisement The Argentine has already played under the likes of Luciano Spalletti, Antonio Conte, and Simone Inzaghi. Martinez inherited the captain's armband from Samir Handanovic two seasons ago. That represented how he had become the team's leader on and off the pitch under Inzaghi. Therefore, Martinez is the player who Chivu has immediately forged the closest relationship with. The 27-year-old is the player who the coach has really used to understand the mood of the dressing room. And Martinez's familiarity with Inter's system of play under Inzaghi has been crucial for Chivu to understand the question of continuity, transition, and how quickly he can make the changes he wants to.

Monaco target André Onana but goalkeeper is keen to stay at Manchester United
Monaco have shortlisted André Onana as a potential signing this summer but the goalkeeper is intent on staying at Manchester United and proving his worth to Ruben Amorim next season. The Ligue 1 club are admirers of the 29-year-old and are also thought to be monitoring Chelsea's Djordje Petrovic. Onana, however, is keen to remain at United despite his patchy form at the club. Advertisement Related: Why Hugo Ekitike is hot property in the summer transfer window Since joining in July 2023 from Inter, the Cameroonian has been an inconsistent performer, making a number of costly errors. Last season Amorim dropped Onana for a 4-1 defeat by Newcastle on 13 April due to his culpability for both Lyon goals in the 2-2 Europa League quarter-final draw in United's previous match. While the head coach reinstated Onana for the return leg, and he played well in the 5-4 win, Amorim may consider recruiting a new first-choice goalkeeper if a viable deal was possible. 'We are going to make that evaluation for any position in the squad,' Amorim said. 'We need to improve. We cannot change all the players. We need to improve every position on the field. Goalkeeper is the same; we can work with André. André Onana already proved he is a top player with Inter. We have some seasons where we are [all] underperforming.' Financial constrictions may require that Onana, who has three years left on his United contract, departs to generate the funds for a new goalkeeper. Altay Bayindir, Onana's understudy, is expected to leave Old Trafford in the next window.
