Ben Roethlisberger paints troubling picture for Steelers, T.J. Watt contract situation
Everyone has an opinion on the T.J. Watt holdout that appears to be brewing — including Steelers legendary QB Ben Roethlisberger.
On his podcast, Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger, Big Ben discussed the possibility of Watt and the Steelers being far apart on a potential deal and compared the situation to his infamous "hold-in" in 2021:

"This year he's not there — and so you asked the question, what's the difference? I don't know. Only T.J. knows the difference. My only speculation and guess — and it's because you brought it up — [the Steelers and Watt] must not be close," argued Big Ben. "Like, if you're close — I would think T.J. would do what he did last time, like, 'Okay, we're close. We'll get this thing done.' Maybe they're not even in the ballpark, and T.J.'s like, 'Why am I coming if we're not in the ballpark?'"
Roethlisberger's speculative take makes perfect sense — as reaching the new $40 million per year standard set by Browns DE Myles Garrett makes these negotiations far more difficult.

Shedeur Sanders pays speeding tickets, addresses citations at Browns event
Shedeur Sanders has been living life in the fast lane during the month of June. While the quarterback is battling for the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback job on the field, he's been speeding off of it. Sanders was ticketed for speeding on two separate occasions in June, according to court records. Advertisement As of Friday morning, both tickets have been paid. Sanders paid $269 in fines and court fees on June 20 to settle his ticket from a June 5 incident, according to records from Medina, Ohio. In addition, the quarterback paid $250 in fines and court costs for his June 17 speeding ticket, which also cost him four points on his license, according to the Strongsville Mayor's Court Online Docketing and Ticket Payment System. Sanders addressed the incidents at Browns tight end David Njoku's celebrity softball game. 'I've made some wrong choices,' Sanders said with a laugh. 'I gotta own up to them. ... I learn from them.' Sanders was cited for driving 101 mph in a 60 mph speed limit zone in Strongsville, Ohio at around 12:30 a.m. on June 17, according to court records from Medina, Ohio. It was the second incident involving the 23-year-old's speed in June, with the other coming on June 5 in Brunswick, Ohio, where he was ticketed for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Advertisement He later failed to appear in court for the first ticket on June 16, leaving $269 outstanding in fines and court costs for the former Colorado quarterback to deal with. Team spokesman Peter John-Baptiste told on Thursday, "He is taking care of the tickets." Up to this point, Sanders has been mostly in the news for good reasons. He's been involved in the community and hasn't let his draft slide dominate the offseason. After falling to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Sanders was eventually selected with the 144th overall pick. He's battling Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel for the starting gig — and a roster spot. Advertisement While a pair of speeding tickets won't cost him the job, Sanders will want to return everyone's attention to his work on the field rather than any potential issues off of it. Rookies are set to report to Browns training camp on July 18 in Berea, Ohio. This article originally appeared on USA TODAY: Shedeur Sanders speeding tickets: QB pays fines, addresses citations

Shedeur Sanders cited for speeding twice in June amid Browns QB battle
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was cited by police on Tuesday morning for driving 101 mph, 40 mph over the speed limit. It turns out that Tuesday's infraction was not his first. According to Medina, Ohio court records Sanders received another citation in June. The first came on June 5 in Brunswick, Ohio where the former Colorado star quarterback was cited for going 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Browns officials told that Sanders' "is taking care of the tickets." Sanders is squarely in the middle of a hard fought quarterback competition. He has pefermored well during spring practices, but only being a fifth round pick makes any negative feel like it could cost him a chance at playing meaningful football. At a Thursday afternoon charity softball game, Sanders attempted to apologize for his actions admitting, "I've made some wrong choices." The half-hearted apology does not seem like a concerted effort to improve his off field actions, but in the grand scheme of "things"incidents" a speeding ticket is very low on the totem pole. Whether Sanders learns from his two speeding tickets and fully owns up to his mistakes remains to be seen, but any off-field transgression will be under the spotlight considering his name and already highly publicizied first few months in the NFL.
