Steelers' Will Howard Doesn't Hold Back About Aaron Rodgers
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. The Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback room has officially been set for the upcoming 2025 NFL season. Aaron Rodgers will be the starter with both Mason Rudolph and Will Howard behind him as his backup options. Rodgers was rumored to sign with the Steelers almost the entire offseason. It took a long time, but the team was clearly confident that he would sign with them at some point. In the 2025 NFL Draft, Pittsburgh opted to pass on a quarterback until the sixth round. That's when the front office decided to bring in former Ohio State Buckeyes' signal caller Howard, who the Steelers think could develop into a starter down the road. Rodgers has also been very vocal about being willing to help Howard as much as he possible can throughout the 2025 campaign. Read more: Steelers Facing Potential Problem With TJ Watt's Contract With that being said, Howard has now spoken out strongly about the future Hall of Fame quarterback. He loves what he's seeing from both the 41-year-old himself and the quarterback room as a whole. "He's been so awesome to me so far. Obviously we've only gotten to be together for about three days, but I got a really good feeling about him and about this whole QB room. I think we already in this past week meshed really well, hit it off. I think we got a good vibe, good group," Howard said. "Aaron has been so willing to help me. He's like, 'Literally, as much or as little as you want me to help you, I'll be there.' He's already given me tips, little things here and there — in the meeting room, on the field, in my drops, different little things. Obviously I can't do the things that he can do mechanically, so I don't want to replicate that too much because that's pretty unique. But, for the most part, everything I can learn from that guy is invaluable. So I'm like as much as you want to pour into me." A lot of Pittsburgh's hope of competing for a Super Bowl will hinge on which version of Rodgers it gets. Will he be the superstar who blows minds with his arm ability? Or, will he look old and ready to ride off into the sunset of retirement? Read more: Steelers Already Linked to Shocking Move for Aaron Rodgers Replacement Regardless of his individual performance, the hope is that he can also help Howard's development. The young quarterback has shown flashes of elite arm talent and has leadership skills that simply cannot be taught. So far, the relationship has gotten off to a good start. Howard is liking the situation he is in and the hope is that he will be ready to step onto the field when Rodgers calls it a career. Will Howard: Everything I can learn from Aaron Rodgers is invaluable
Before Aaron Rodgers signed with the Steelers, rookie quarterback Will Howard said he was looking forward to learning from the four-time MVP. Rodgers is now officially a member of the team and Howard got his first chance to work with his new teammate at the team's three-day minicamp. It's been everything the rookie was hoping it would be so far. Howard told Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette this week that Rodgers came to him on the first day of the minicamp to clarify some things about the offense, but most of the information has been flowing in the other direction. 'He's been so awesome to me so far,' Howard said. 'Obviously we've only gotten to be together for about three days, but I got a really good feeling about him and about this whole QB room. I think we already in this past week meshed really well, hit it off. I think we got a good vibe, good group. Aaron has been so willing to help me. But, for the most part, everything I can learn from that guy is invaluable. So I'm like as much as you want to pour into me.' The Steelers signed Rodgers to lead the offense this year and if some of what he passes down to Howard leads to future success, his impact on the organization will be felt for quite a while.

Jalen Ramsey to Steelers rumors shot down by insider Gerry Dulac
The Jalen Ramsey trade speculation took the Steel City by storm — but one insider may argue there's little stock to these rumors. Insider Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette was asked during Thursday's Steelers Chat when Ramsey would be traded to Pittsburgh — and this was his response: Advertisement "I'd take a rain check on that one if I were you." Dulac is one of the most well-respected Steelers insiders, having previously broken the news of Aaron Rodgers' first meeting in Pittsburgh — making his insight feel more like fact than fiction. The Ramsey-to-Pittsburgh rumors have been limited to a UCLA training photo and the supposed following of several Steelers players on Instagram — but as with all speculation, it should be taken with a grain of salt. If Ramsey is ultimately traded elsewhere, the Steelers still boast a strong cornerback duo with Joey Porter Jr. and the newly acquired veteran Darius Slay Jr. — but one could argue signing another slot CB to push Beanie Bishop Jr. is still the move to make. Jaire Alexander, Aaron Rodgers will get re-acquainted this year
Former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson isn't the only player with whom former Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander will be reunited in 2025. With Alexander joining the Ravens, he'll see former Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers twice this year. Advertisement The Steelers and Ravens cross paths in Week 14 and Week 18. Alexander and Rodgers spent five years together in Green Bay. Each surely picked up a thing or two about the other during their time on the practice field. Alexander will also cross paths with the four teams he knows best — the Packers and his former NFC North rivals. Including the Vikings and receiver Justin Jefferson. Of course, all of this hinges on Alexander staying healthy. Which he hasn't done over the past two years, resulting in Alexander missing 20 total regular-season games.
