Triple H believes Cardi B would be difficult to stop if she decides to step into a WWE ring.
Cardi B is set to host the first-ever two-night WWE SummerSlam this year, taking place on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. As a New York native, Cardi B is expected to draw major attention to the show, which is just weeks away.

During an interview with Billboard, Triple H discussed Cardi B's involvement at WWE SummerSlam. When asked about Cardi B's role at SummerSlam, and whether fans might see her get physical in the ring, Triple H explained that anything is possible.
Triple H comments on Cardi B's role at SummerSlam
'Well, let me answer the second part of it first. So can you see her … I don't know if anybody can control Cardi B, let me just start with that. So if she wants to, I think it's going to be hard to talk her out of it. And then what can we expect? Who the hell knows. The one thing I know about Cardi is, whatever she's going to do, is what she's going to do. And you're sort of kind of just hanging on to the tiger's tail a little bit there.'
'So she's a lot of fun to work with, has been so far with this. She's excited to do it. I think, as everybody knows, she's a big fan and has, you know, talked a lot about the business over the years and all that stuff and comments on it a lot. So when you work with people like that, it's exciting. We'll see, we'll see where that goes.'

'But we're thrilled to be working with her. You know, there's a lot of artists out there across so many different things now that are just, they're fans and looking to come in and do things with us, and we'll vet through them and try to figure out the ones that can do the most and be a positive for our fan base, and just help to expand the product out beyond the realm of just just wrestling fans, and get the rest of the world into what we're doing.'

Matt Cardona Makes John Cena Post After Getting Called Out During Smackdown

Matt Cardona Makes John Cena Post After Getting Called Out During Smackdown originally appeared on Athlon Sports. WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena and TNA Wrestling superstar Matt Cardona broke the professional wrestling fourth wall over the past two days. Advertisement It all started during Friday's episode of WWE's weekly show, 'SmackDown,' where Cena faced off against Ron Killings in the main event. Ultimately, Cena lost the match by disqualification because he hit Killings in the head with his championship belt. Then, CM Punk, a longtime rival of Cena's, came out to engage in a brawl with him that ended with Cena slamming Punk through a table. As Punk laid through the broken table in pain, Cena created his own version of Punk's infamous 'Pipebomb' segment from 2011, where he let his feelings be known about his longtime rival. As Cena's segment continued, he decided to give a shoutout to three former WWE superstars: Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro), Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) and Cardona (Zack Ryder). This caused the crowd to burst into cheers, and Cardona issued a response to the moment on X. Advertisement 'Hey @JohnCena,' Cardona posted on Friday along with an old photo of himself and Cena on Saturday from his time in the WWE. However, the callout is not a surprise because the WWE started a multi-year partnership with TNA Wrestling in January, allowing both promotions to have their wrestlers to compete in each other's companies. So far, the partnership has been primarily focused on WWE's developmental show NXT, where TNA superstars such as Joe Hendry and TNA Knockout World Champion Masha Slamovich have competed in several matches. Meanwhile, Punk is expected to challenge Cena for the WWE Undisputed Championship at the Night of Champions pay-per-view on June 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Friday Music Guide: New Music From Karol G, Benson Boone, Cardi B, Haim and More

Billboard's Friday Music Guide serves as a handy guide to this Friday's most essential releases — the key music that everyone will be talking about today, and that will be dominating playlists this weekend and beyond. This week, Karol G explores Latin history, Benson Boone's Heart beats loudly, and Cardi B is ready to take the gloves off. Check out all of this week's picks below: More from Billboard The Ultimate Latin Playlist For a Feel-Good Summer 2025: Listen Jelly Roll & Brandon Lake's 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' Collab Certified Platinum Nick Cannon Forgets Two of His 12 Kids' Names While Trying to List Them: 'I Usually Get in Trouble' Karol G, In the lead-up to Tropicoqueta, Karol G has been candid when discussing how 2023's smash hit Mañana Será Bonito and its coinciding world tour left her wondering what the best next step would be for her long-term future; it turns out that the answer was in the past, as Tropicoqueta reveals more of Karol's backstory while also exploring and celebrating different strands of Latin music, creating a curious, wholly absorbing new chapter. Benson Boone, If 'Beautiful Things' changed the trajectory of Benson Boone's pop career, then American Heart, his new album released more than a year after his breakthrough smash, represents the crystallization of everything we've learned about the backflipping, big-voiced singer-songwriter in the interim: the 10-song project is relatively short but full of theatrical spunk, as Boone prowls across each song with feeling and determination. Cardi B, 'Outside' A long-awaited new Cardi B track titled 'Outside,' released on the cusp of summer, might be perceived as a new warm-weather anthem from an artist who's had a few of them — but the single is instead a cutthroat diss track at an estranged romantic partner, with Cardi using her clout and cunning ('Favorite player from your favorite team, he in my DMs!' she exclaims) to move on personally and artistically. Haim, By releasing a new album every four years, Danielle, Alana and Este Haim have been able to take their time expertly crafting the pop-rock melodies that they've always traded in, and the overarching themes of the full-lengths that house them. With I Quit, 2021's masterful Women In Music Pt. III receives a follow-up full of airtight compositions, housed within a full-length statement about moving on from unnecessary details in order to appreciate our limited time on Earth. Sombr, 'We Never Dated' 'I can't make you love me,' Sombr repeats on new single 'We Never Dated,' approaching a time-honored theme in pop songwriting with Beach Boys-esque vocal harmonies and a modern sense of tenacity; with breakthrough hits 'Undressed' and 'Back to Friends,' the teen star was able to reinvigorate a classic alternative sound for 2025, and 'We Never Dated' continues that balancing act with aplomb. Megan Moroney, '6 Months Later' Megan Moroney's songwriting has rapidly sharpened over the past few years, as a line like 'What doesn't kill you calls you six months later' on her new single makes for a devastatingly funny eye-roll toward an ex — but the real attraction here is Moroney's voice, full of weariness when recalling a breakup and packing smoky, sarcastic personality in each syllable, on a song that the rising country star soundly commands. Fred again.., Skepta & PlaqueBoyMax, 'Victory Lap' After playing a surprise show together in Brooklyn earlier this week, Fred again.. and Skepta have commemorated the unexpected team-up with a summer-ready single: 'Victory Lap' is a restless, scorching dance cut, with the fusion of Fred and Skepta's respective energies producing a slickly rhymed, garage-adjacent banger that does not stop moving. Editor's Pick: Lorde, 'Hammer' The third and final pre-release single from Lorde's Virgin begins with what sounds like out-of-focus chatter, before the pop star's voice barges in to provide clarity: 'There's a heat in the pavement, my mercury's raising / Don't know if it's love, or if it's ovulation.' Lorde has long been a wry, literary songwriter, and throughout 'Hammer' — the album track, which she described as 'an ode to city life and horniness' — she once again captures universal feelings in striking, singular fashion. Best of Billboard Chart Rewind: In 1989, New Kids on the Block Were 'Hangin' Tough' at No. 1 Janet Jackson's Biggest Billboard Hot 100 Hits H.E.R. & Chris Brown 'Come Through' to No. 1 on Adult R&B Airplay Chart

Cardi B's Wordless Message to Angel Reese Is Turning Heads

Cardi B's Wordless Message to Angel Reese Is Turning Heads originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has received a fair share of criticism throughout the early stages of her WNBA career. Advertisement Some fans call out the 23-year-old for talking very highly about herself heading into games while having nights where she only scores in the single digits, like against the Indiana Fever on Saturday. However, she combats the criticism by receiving support from her teammates. 'The amount of (expletive) that she gets on a day-to-day basis and still shows up,' Sky guard Ariel Atkins told reporters after Tuesday's 85-66 loss to the New York Liberty. 'So whatever question y'all got about our team, basketballwise, we appreciate it, but in another sense, is it relevant?' She continued, 'We are here to play basketball and do what we do, so we are having a hard time at the end of the day. This is a 23-year-old kid [points at Reese] who handles herself with grace. Her crown is heavy.' Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5).Wendell Cruz-Imagn Images Following Atkins' statement, Grammy award-winning artist Cardi B showed her love for Reese. Advertisement '❤️🥺,' the 32-year-old shared. Meanwhile, fans of the rapper and Reese did the same. 'Angel has been dealing with this since LSU,' one fan wrote. 'Her crown 👑 may tilt but it will never fall off. With love from Baton Rouge 💓.' 'Y'all haters are going to push Angel to a stratosphere y'all didn't think was a possibility,' another shared. 'Keep on hating on 5 watch her elevate.' 'We love to see the girls standing up for each other,' another commented. 'She's a real one 🫶🏻,' one fan wrote. 'That's a TEAM MATE RIGHT THERE,' another wrote. 'They'll never make me hate Angel Reese 🩷,' another commented. Advertisement The criticism Reese received from some shouldn't be a problem if her fans continue to back her up.
