Patrick Schwarzenegger and Margaret Qualley to team up for romantic drama
Patrick Schwarzenegger is to star in Love Of Your Life.
The White Lotus actor will reportedly appear opposite Margaret Qualley in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios movie, which will be directed by Rachel Morrison.
Julia Cox wrote the script, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, the emotional drama follows a young woman (Qualley), who loses her husband goes on a journey to find a way to move on with her life, while Schwarzenegger will play an old friend and former lover.
Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson will produce Love Of Your Life through their Open Invite Entertainment banner, which was previously known as General Admission.
Filming is scheduled to begin in Europe in August.
Meanwhile, Patrick recently admitted he'd love to take the lead role in the upcoming American Psycho remake.
One fan wrote on X recently: 'Patrick Schwarzenegger, I've found your breakout role.'
To which, the actor replied: 'I'd love nothing more [wink].'
Luca Guadagnino is making a modern version of the 2000 Mary Harron horror classic - which starred Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman, a New York City investment banker who leads a double life as a serial killer - and recently teased 'the script is coming out very handsomely' for the flick.
Appearing in a video segment at CinemaCon, the filmmaker said: 'We are really working hard to bring to the screen a new adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho, a book that I deeply love that is something that influenced me so much.
'[Writer Scott Z. Burns] is doing an incredible job. The script is coming out very handsomely.'
Although Guadagnino didn't reveal any of the cast for his American Psycho movie, the director teased he was currently in 'conversation with very exciting performers to play the leads."
Last December, it was reported that Austin Butler would play Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.
The new film won't be a direct remake of the 2000 movie, with Guadagnino's version poised to be a new take on the story that will have a more significant erotic emphasis than the original picture.
Lionsgate film chief Adam Fogelson previously described the director as the 'perfect visionary' to helm the new cinematic iteration of American Psycho.
He said in a statement: 'We are thrilled to add another elite filmmaker to our upcoming slate. Luca is a brilliant artist, and the perfect visionary to create a whole new interpretation of this potent and classic IP.'

Jason Isaacs says ‘global icon' co-star was ‘worst bully ever': ‘Never seen anything like it'
Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. Jason Isaacs revealed that one of his 'global icon' co-stars was the 'worst bully ever'. The White Lotus star recalled a prominent actor pushing him out of a shot in a candid interview with Vulture, published this week. 'Oh Jesus. Did worse than that,' the actor remembered. The unnamed A-lister 'did all the old tricks of doing a completely different performance off-camera than on,' Isaacs, 62, claimed, per Page Six. 'Yeah, it sucked. I'd never seen anything like it,' he continued. 'Before, I would've licked the ground that this person walked on.' Isaacs opened up about his 'bully' co-star. Picture: Lisa O'Connor/AFP While the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets star did not identify the thespian in question, he did share he has worked with many people who were 'bonkers'. Isaacs previously spoke about the co-star in question in a 2011 interview with the Telegraph, meaning we can at least narrow down that the negative experience took place before then. 'When I think someone's terrible, someone else might think they're brilliant. One of the things that's very charismatic is madness,' he told Vulture. Isaac clarified that what he 'mostly … judge[s] on set is bad behaviour.' He said: 'It's selfishness, cruelty, bullying, or people complaining to the person who's getting them dressed, who doesn't get in a year what they earn in a day to pick their filthy underwear off the floor.' Isaacs said he also noticed when actors didn't show up, left work to go home early, did drugs and called 'prostitutes to their trailer'. 'I come across all that stuff,' he shared. The actor in Harry Potter. He also recently starred in The White Lotus. Isaacs said he would not name any names because 'there is no value, other than masochism and sabotage, in telling people the truth about people I've worked with or experiences I've had.' He concluded, 'Acting is all about secrets.' Elsewhere in the interview, Isaacs spoke about the 'very low' pay cheque of US$40,000 ($61,000) per episode he and his co-stars received for working on season three of The White Lotus. 'Generally actors don't talk about pay in public because it's ridiculously disproportionate to what we do — putting on makeup and funny voices — and just upsets the public,' he said. 'But compared to what people normally get paid for big television shows, that's a very low price.' However, the Golden Globe nominee acknowledged, 'The fact is, we would have paid to be in it. We probably would have given a body part.' This article originally appeared in Page Six and was reproduced with permission. Jake Gyllenhaal set for Code Black
Jake Gyllenhaal is to star in Code Black. The 44-year-old actor's Nine Stories are to develop the political thriller, which is based on a new short story by Harrison Query, as a starring vehicle for Jake, with the film's rights secured by Amazon MGM Studios as part of their first-look deal with the company, Deadline reports. Amazon MGM secured the rights for a guaranteed seven-figure sum, in what is believed to be one of the biggest deals of all times for a short story. Harrison himself will adapt the tale for the big screen. Code Black will see Jake play the US' top heart surgeon, who is flown to Washington D.C. to carry out a high-stakes operation, only to be embroiled in a trap that he needs to work his way out of to stop a plot that threatens both his family and the country. As well as Jake and Nine Stories' Josh McLaughlin, producers in talks for the film include Lynn Harris and Matt Reeves of 6th + Idaho, and Scott Glassgold of 12:01 Films. Nine Stories' three-year deal with Amazon MGM Studios was announced in April last year. As well as 'Road House', which was helmed by Doug Liman, Jake starred in Guy Ritchie's 'The Covenant' for Amazon MGM Studios before inking the deal. He said in a statement at the time: "I've worked with Amazon MGM on two films this past year, and they've been a wonderful partner both times. "Their dedication to filmmaking is contagious, and I so admire their commitment to fans all over the world. I am thrilled to formalise what is an already fruitful collaboration-especially on the heels of Road House's outstanding debut.' Julie Rapaport, head of film production and development at Amazon MGM Studios, commented: "Jake is a one-of-a-kind talent whose passion and eye for filmmaking makes him a powerful storyteller both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. "Following the record-breaking success of Road House, we could not imagine a better time to officially cement our relationship. Jake has been an incredible partner, and we look forward to collaborating with him and the Nine Stories team to create needle-moving and compelling films from visionary filmmakers."
