Bhubaneswar, June 20 (UNI) The capital city of Bhubaneswar is decked up with BJP flags and large cutouts in preparation to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be attending the first anniversary celebrations of the BJP government in Odisha, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) at 3:40 PM from Siwan, Bihar. Elaborate arrangements have been made to welcome him at the airport, from where he will participate in a roadshow and the Tiranga Yatra on his way to Janata Maidan, the main venue for the anniversary celebrations. To showcase Odisha's rich cultural heritage, traditional Odia folk music and various dance performances have been arranged at several strategic points along the 8-kilometre route from the airport to Janata Maidan. According to the official itinerary, Modi will reach Janata Maidan around 4:15 PM to attend the state-level celebration marking one year of the BJP-led Mohan Majhi government. During the event, the Prime Minister will unveil the Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047 document, outlining a long-term roadmap for the state's development and prosperity. He will also lay the foundation stones and inaugurate several infrastructure projects worth over Rs 18,700 crore, launch new train services, and flag off 100 electric buses. Additionally, the Prime Minister will launch the Baraputra Sanman scheme, release a booklet on Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Prathamik Vidyalaya, and felicitate 'Lakhpati Didis' before addressing a large public gathering at Janata Maidan. Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with Deputy Chief Ministers K.V. Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, members of the Council of Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and senior BJP leaders, will attend the event. The Commissionerate Police have made tight security arrangements and imposed traffic restrictions during the Prime Minister's visit. A total of 135 police platoons, 16 DCP-rank officers, 33 additional DCPs, 93 ACPs, 100 inspectors, and 450 sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors have been deployed to maintain law and order in the city. The Odisha government has declared a holiday for all schools under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and a half-day holiday for all government offices, revenue, and magisterial courts within the BMC limits. Ahead of his visit, PM Modi posted on social media platform X, stating that he would be attending events in Odisha, Bihar, and Andhra Pradesh over the next two days. Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], June 20 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones for and inaugurate infrastructure projects worth Rs. 18,700 crore in Odisha on Friday during his visit to the State, said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's office. 'The Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi is visiting Odisha on completion of 11 years of the Central Government and 1 year of the State Government's dedicated service, good governance and welfare of the poor,' said a post on the X handle of CMO Odisha. 'On this occasion, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and auspiciously inaugurate infrastructure projects worth Rs. 18,700 crore and will also release the Odisha Vision 2036. 2047 booklet,' it added. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start his two-day visit to three states from Friday. The tour will encompass development project inaugurations in Bihar and Odisha, along with leading a mass yoga session on the International Day of Yoga. In Odisha, PM Modi will chair the State-level function at Bhubaneswar to commemorate the completion of one year of the Government of Odisha. In line with his commitment to the holistic development of Odisha, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 18,600 crore. These projects will cover critical sectors including drinking water, irrigation, agricultural infrastructure, health infrastructure, rural roads and bridges, sections of national highways, and a new railway line, according to the release. Marking a historic moment for the district's integration with the national railway network, the Prime Minister will flag off new train services extending rail connectivity to Boudh district for the first time. In a major boost to clean energy and sustainable transport, the Prime Minister will flag off 100 electric buses under the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) system, supporting a modern, eco-friendly urban mobility network. PM Modi will release the Odisha Vision Document. Anchored around the landmark years of 2036 (when Odisha completes 100 years as India's first linguistic State) and 2047 (when India celebrates 100 years of independence), the Vision will outline an ambitious and future-ready roadmap for inclusive growth, the release added. As a tribute to the contribution of eminent Odias, Prime Minister Modi will launch the 'Baraputra Aitihya Gram Yojana' initiative. It aims to transform their birthplaces into living memorials through museums, interpretation centres, statues, libraries, and public spaces honouring Odisha's heritage while promoting cultural tourism. Celebrating more than 16.50 lakh Lakhpati Didis as symbols of prosperity and self-reliance in the state, Prime Minister Modi will felicitate women achievers from across the State. (ANI)

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday said Odisha's ambitious vision is to position itself among India's top five states economically by 2036, its centenary year, while ensuring quality basic amenities of bijli, sadak, and paani (electricity, roads, and water) for all citizens and jobs for after chairing a consultative workshop on 'Vision 2036 and 2047' at Lok Seva Bhawan, Majhi announced that in a first-of-its-kind initiative, Odisha has employed artificial intelligence to analyse over 3.2 lakh proposals received from citizens and non-resident Odias, adhering to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Jan Bhagidari' vision. "The vision document is a roadmap for the dreams of 4.5 crore Odias and a promise for future generations," said Majhi, revealing that the draft is nearly complete, as he nears one year of his office on June 12. The plan, dubbed '36 for 36' by the CM earlier, will implement 36 flagship programmes across various sectors, including economy, industry, education, health, and state aims to become a $500 billion economy by 2036 and reach $1.5 trillion by 2047, serving as a crucial growth engine for a developed India. The state govt envisions Odisha as India's gateway to East and South-East Asian nations through port-led development. "Infrastructure, skill development, ease of doing business — we will do everything necessary to establish industries," Majhi CM Pravati Parida highlighted the focus on women's empowerment, ensuring equal rights and safety across sectors by 2036. Law minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said various stakeholders contributed to the blueprint for this state-level workshop, which saw participation from ministers, administrators, and voluntary organisations, three regional workshops are scheduled in Sambalpur, Balasore, and vision documents for 2036 and 2047 represent comprehensive plans for transforming Odisha into a prosperous, industrially advanced state while maintaining focus on quality healthcare, education, and livelihood opportunities for all minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said extensive consultations were held with intellectuals, various civil organisations, social workers, educators, public representatives, environmentalists, and civil society members to finalise the Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047 document."We are collectively working towards building an Odisha that is economically prosperous and ensures social justice. The aim is to establish the state as a leader in human development indices," he said.

Bhubaneswar, May 9 (UNI) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Friday that the preparation of the "Odisha Vision 2036" document is in its final stage. A draft has already been prepared, and the final version will be completed after consultations with experts. Majhi expressed confidence that a prosperous Odisha will be realised by 2036. The Chief Minister said the aim is to transform Odisha into a $500 billion economy. Steps will be taken to ensure that even the most marginalised sections of society receive access to all essential services by 2036. Majhi made these remarks while attending the state-level 'Consultation Workshop' organized as part of the 'Vision Odisha 2036 and 2047' initiative held in Bhubaneswar. He emphasised that the vision document serves as a roadmap for the dreams of 4.5 crore Odias and represents a promise to future generations. The Chief Minister added that following the state-level workshop, three regional workshops will be held in Sambalpur, Balasore, and Jajpur to gather more inputs. Participants at Friday's workshop included experienced administrators, educators, public representatives, industry leaders, civil society members, and eminent figures from Odisha's arts, culture, and heritage sectors. They shared their views and submitted proposals to the government. Majhi revealed that 36 top-priority programs have been identified to make a meaningful impact in critical sectors by 2036. This strategic initiative is expected to accelerate Odisha's development journey. He stressed that a whole-of-government approach will be adopted to implement the programs, which will span across key sectors such as economy, industry, education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, science and research, innovation, and women's empowerment. Majhi reiterated the government's ambitious resolution to transform Odisha into a prosperous state by 2036, marking the centenary of the state's formation. He also highlighted Odisha's envisioned contribution to India's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. 'Our Vision 2036 and 2047 documents reflect an ambitious resolve to build a prosperous, developed, and proud Odisha—a 'Developed Odisha' that will shine brightly as part of a 'Developed India,'' he stated. In alignment with the Prime Minister's 'Jan Bhagidari' initiative, Majhi noted that over 3.2 lakh suggestions have been received from citizens of Odisha and the Odia diaspora worldwide. He further emphasised that Odisha is the first state in India to use artificial intelligence for analysing public feedback and data to prepare its vision document. Majhi also mentioned that Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of Parliament (MPs) have been requested to provide their valuable input, considering their extensive experience. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women and Child Development, Parvathi Parida, who also attended the event, emphasised the importance of aligning present conditions with future goals in formulating an effective action plan. BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced that Odisha's growth transformation journey will be accelerated by launching a strategic initiative '36 for 36' by identifying 36 flagship initiatives aimed at making a significant impact in key sectors by 2036. Presiding over the meeting of the council of ministers, the chief minister said, for the centenary celebrations of formation of the state in 2036, the government has taken an ambitious resolve to make Odisha a prosperous and developed state. This will also help in achieving the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047. The council of ministers decided that 'Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047' document will be finalised in consultation with public representatives, common citizens, members of civil society and intellectuals at various levels in the next 15 days by organising regional workshops at four different locations in the state. The chief minister said the government has started preparing for 'Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047' from August 2024. Inclusion, prosperity and wellness are the three pillars which form the basis of this vision document. To achieve GSDP target of $1.5 trillion by 2047 and to contribute 5 per cent to India's GDP, he said, Odisha needs to exceed and accelerate the rate of economic growth it has achieved so far. Majhi said it would be possible to finalise the draft through the well-thought-out advice and guidance of the council of ministers and accordingly an implementation plan will be charted for successful execution of the targets laid down in the Vision Odisha 2036 and 2047 documents. He stressed the need for prioritising the infrastructure growth and suggested special plans for expansion of roads and railways networks, ports and air connectivity. Chief secretary Manoj Ahuja briefed about the need for export-oriented manufacturing to achieve rapid economic growth rate and the need for deregulation, decriminalisation and digitisation for ease of doing business.
