Preparation of Odisha Vision 2036 document in final stage: CM Majhi
Bhubaneswar, May 9 (UNI) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Friday that the preparation of the "Odisha Vision 2036" document is in its final stage.
A draft has already been prepared, and the final version will be completed after consultations with experts. Majhi expressed confidence that a prosperous Odisha will be realised by 2036.
The Chief Minister said the aim is to transform Odisha into a $500 billion economy. Steps will be taken to ensure that even the most marginalised sections of society receive access to all essential services by 2036.
Majhi made these remarks while attending the state-level 'Consultation Workshop' organized as part of the 'Vision Odisha 2036 and 2047' initiative held in Bhubaneswar.
He emphasised that the vision document serves as a roadmap for the dreams of 4.5 crore Odias and represents a promise to future generations.
The Chief Minister added that following the state-level workshop, three regional workshops will be held in Sambalpur, Balasore, and Jajpur to gather more inputs.
Participants at Friday's workshop included experienced administrators, educators, public representatives, industry leaders, civil society members, and eminent figures from Odisha's arts, culture, and heritage sectors. They shared their views and submitted proposals to the government.
Majhi revealed that 36 top-priority programs have been identified to make a meaningful impact in critical sectors by 2036. This strategic initiative is expected to accelerate Odisha's development journey.
He stressed that a whole-of-government approach will be adopted to implement the programs, which will span across key sectors such as economy, industry, education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, science and research, innovation, and women's empowerment.
Majhi reiterated the government's ambitious resolution to transform Odisha into a prosperous state by 2036, marking the centenary of the state's formation.
He also highlighted Odisha's envisioned contribution to India's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
'Our Vision 2036 and 2047 documents reflect an ambitious resolve to build a prosperous, developed, and proud Odisha—a 'Developed Odisha' that will shine brightly as part of a 'Developed India,'' he stated.
In alignment with the Prime Minister's 'Jan Bhagidari' initiative, Majhi noted that over 3.2 lakh suggestions have been received from citizens of Odisha and the Odia diaspora worldwide.
He further emphasised that Odisha is the first state in India to use artificial intelligence for analysing public feedback and data to prepare its vision document.
Majhi also mentioned that Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of Parliament (MPs) have been requested to provide their valuable input, considering their extensive experience.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women and Child Development, Parvathi Parida, who also attended the event, emphasised the importance of aligning present conditions with future goals in formulating an effective action plan.

Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Telangana, Justice Sujoy Paul, in his address, paid tribute to the legacy of Justice Ashutosh Mukherjee, an eminent jurist and former Vice Chancellor. He also noted that the first Indian judge of the High Court was a Bengali, underlining Bengal's historic contributions to India's judicial and academic spheres. Justice Ms Moushumi Bhattacharjee, Judge, High Court of Telangana; Sabyasachi Ghosh, Special Chief Secretary to Government; and M. Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary to the Governor, also spoke on the occasion. Iran opens air space to allow 3 flights bring stranded Indian nationals back home
New Delhi, June 20 (UNI) In a special gesture, Iran on Friday opened its airspace to allow India evacuate its citizens stranded there. Iran's Deputy Chief of Mission to India Mohammad Javad Hosseini told reporters here that three special flights from Mashad will bring back stranded Indian nationals to Delhi. The first flight will land tonight at 2315 Hrs. The second and third flights are scheduled for Saturday, one in the morning and another in the evening. A total of 1000 Indian nationals were relocated from Tehran to Mashad via Qom. From Mashad they will be flown to Delhi, Mr Hosseini said. Under Operation Sindhu launched by India to evacuate Indian nationals from war torn areas of Iran, 110 Indian students were brought back home on Wednesday. They were evacuated from northern Iran and transported to Yerevan, Armenia, by road. From Yerevan they boarded a special flight to New Delhi on June 19 early morning. TTD Ex-Chairman's allegations completely false: TTD
Tirumala, June 20 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on Friday rubbished allegations levelled by its former Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy and condemned the mudslinging at the organisation without concrete evidence. The allegations that the temple priests are not properly treated or given respect are also "completely false. They always have the respect given to them. However, many reforms have been brought about inside the temple in recent times, TTD said in a release here on Friday evening. ''It is completely untrue to say that an attempt is being made to undermine the generations of Vedic recitation in the Srivari temple and to speak derisively of the Vedic reciters. At present, the duration of Vedic recitation in Srivari temple is not only increased but also fully stabilised now. From the past one year, TTD made it prominent that the divine chant, ''Om Namo Venkatesaya'' also be heard and echoed everywhere in Srivari Temple, outside, on both footpaths, Kalyana Katta, Srivari Seva, outside queue lines, Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex etc. TTD is also taking steps to increase the physical and mental strength of Vedic students in Vedic schools Inside the temple also TTD has started the process of collecting opinions from the devotees on darshan, tirtha prasadams and laid emphasis on transparency in the system. Devotees are also praising this innovative approach of TTD. The allegation regarding issuing notices to several mutts in Tirumala is also completely untrue, the TTD clarified and adding that everyone in the country is bound to Law. Following the court orders, notices were issued to Visakha Sharada Peetham and one or two other Mutts for encroaching more space than the land allocated by TTD to them, it also clarified. All the mutts are also appreciating the reforms brought by TTD in the last year. TTD has also given permission to several Mutts for repairs and modernization as per norms. It would be good to know the facts before speaking falsely that they are stopping the devotees by saying that they will provide Srivari darshan within a couple of hours with AI technology. From the past one year TTD has brought many reforms focussing on providing hassle free darshan to the multitude of devotees visiting Tirumala. TTD has been analyzing the situation from time to time like never before and perfectly following the time management in a scientific manner in maintaining the queues. An additional 22 food counters have also been set up for the devotees who are waiting in the queue lines outside serving Annaprasadams, milk, tea, coffee, buttermilk and snacks according to the timeline. With a systematic action plan, a comfortable darshan to record the number of devotees is being provided on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays like never before. To provide enhanced services to the pilgrims feedback from devotees is being received in three different modes. It is remarkable that more than 90 percent of the devotees have expressed their satisfaction with the services being provided by TTD such as Annaprasadam, accommodation, drinking water, laddu prasadams from the feedback collected through IVRS, WHATSAPP, and Srivari Sevaks. TTD is making all efforts to make darshan through Artificial Intelligence possible soon. In 2023 after a scandal in Parakamani came to light, an armoured system was put in place since last one year. A SoP in Parakamani to restore the lost trust in the system was prepared. As per the SoP, anyone entering Parakamani will have to undergo security checks and thorough scrutiny. UNI KNR SSP
