Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon, 44, pregnant with first child
Liz McClarnon has admitted she is 'petrified' ahead of welcoming her first child after having two miscarriages.
As a teenager Liz joined the girl group Atomic Kitten alongside Kerry Katona and Natasha Hamilton.
The group – who later had Jenny Frost join after Kerry left – scored three number-one hits – Whole Again, Eternal Flame, and The Tide Is High – plus two number-one albums.
However last year Liz was left as the only member of Atomic Kitten after the other two quit.
A year on Liz has revealed some exciting news in her private life.

'I've mostly kept myself off social media because sometimes it was hard to smile. But after years of sometimes quite painful IVF quite dark times…I'm pregnant,' she captioned a video, which showed her sitting in a park cradling her bump.
'I started to record a video of me just telling you but I got too emotional, so I thought I'd just hide behind this little announcement instead. I just can't believe we're here,' she continued.
'So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse. ❤️ I want to share what I can and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with IVF and loss after so much hope. I've been a part of some beautifully supportive communities. I'm so grateful.'
The singer is expecting her first child with husband Peter Cho, a doctor she met on a dating app during the pandemic.
Four months later they moved in together and four months after that the couple were engaged.
Early in their relationship they began the IVF process as both wanted children and were aware her being 40 might delay the natural process.
However, in 2022 they had three failed embryo transfers, and last year she suffered two miscarriages after the first successful cycles.
In an interview with The Mirror, Liz said she decided to share her fertility struggles following 'dark times'.
'The whole process made me truly appreciate that having a baby is a miracle,' she said.
'When it doesn't work, you're just in shock.
'I felt so bad emotionally, it was really tough.'
But Liz said she was now 'loving life' and was excited to find out the sex of her baby.
She did joke about her nerves though too.
'My knees already hurt. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful, but I'm also petrified. But you know what? It's happened to women older than me before, and it'll happen again – so we'll just get on with it!,' she said.
When sharing her pregnancy publicly, Liz was flooded with many messages of support – including from her former bandmates.
'Literally couldn't be any happier for you both! After all you've been through, this little miracle is everything,' Natasha wrote.

Liz and Peter married in 2023, but she only revealed his identity to her followers when they celebrated their first wedding anniversary last year.
After sharing photos with her husband's face covered by confetti soon after their wedding, she paid tribute to Peter a year later.
Sharing a photo of them together, she wrote: 'Guess what?! I've been married to my perfect match for a whole year, I love you Peter Cho!'

Lynn starred as Verdie Foster in the Waltons, with her having appeared on the CBS show from 1973 to 1981. The character becomes friends with the titular family and is said to have featured in more than a dozen episodes. The Mirror reports that she is also credited with playing Trudy in an episode of the Golden Girls in 1988. Trudy was introduced as the aunt of Lorraine Wagner (Rosalind Cash), who married Michael Zbornak (Scott Jacoby), the son of Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur). She also appeared in numerous other shows over the course of her career. Her credits include playing cousin Georgia Anderson in Roots: The Next Generation in 1979 and Judge P. Fulton in the Practice from 1997 to 2002. Lynn is said to have also worked alongside her late husband Frank S. Jenkins, who died aged 89 in 2014, over the years. She had married the poet and playwright in 1964. Their partnership was referred to as a 'shining example of creativity, love and dedication' in the statement released this weekened. Former Love Island winner Jess Harding hits out at 'b**chy' 2025 contestant
Jess Harding, who won ITV's Love Island back in 2023, has shared her thoughts on current contestant Antonia 'Toni' Laites - who has been causing drama in the villa Former Love Island winner Jess Harding has lashed out at one of the current contestants in a scathing social media post. The 2025 season of ITV's long-running reality dating show began earlier this month and 16 contestants are currently housed in the villa. But tensions have been bubbling between some of the contestants and 24-year-olds Antonia 'Toni' Laites and Emily Moran have clashed while taking part in the show. Viewers were startled to see Toni accuse Emily of sticking her nose in her business during a fiery exchange that aired on Friday night. Jess, 24 - who won Love Island in 2023 alongside then-boyfriend Sammy Root, 24 - was among those watching at home to take to social media to dissect the unsettling scenes. The reality star shared her shock at Toni's outburst against Emily. Siding with the British star, Jess accused American bombshell Toni of being "b**chy". In a message shared via Instagram stories, the star wrote: "Ok what the hell, just because someone isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean you can cause a big drama over it?!" Jess continued: "Toni girl I loved you but I don't like b****y behaviour & pulling crying behaviour." And she added: "Why can't the girls be 1 big group cos these men be acting CRAZY." While the 2025 season got off to a low viewership start when it launched on 9 June, the audience then reportedly grew by 1.7 million streams on ITVX after the first episode aired. Some past contestants have started campaigning for the series to be axed, however, and the show has a long history of being tied to the tragic mental health declines of past contestants. This weekend, Malin Andersson, who starred on the show in 2016, voiced her concerns about the way the series is made. She told The Mirror: "It should be axed. When I was on it, we were naive, it felt more organic – still scripted but more authentic. Even then, it wasn't pure, it was full of toxicity. Now millions watch it, especially young people, and their idea of love gets completely skewed." She added: "I felt disposable, like a piece of rubbish tossed aside. In there, you're fighting to be seen, to be a main character, seeking validation. It's not healthy – it creates unrealistic drama and messes up how viewers see love." Love Island has come under fire in the past for failing to support contestant that take part in the series - however, strict after care rules were introduced in 2019 after the deaths of former contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.

Dua Lipa fans 'beyond livid' as Charli XCX joins her on stage at Wembley gig
Dua Lipa fans are livid after the Training Season hit-maker chose to bring Charli XCX on stage as her special guest during the second night of her sold-out Wembley stadium gigs. Dua, 29, made sure to pull out all the stops for her first night at the iconic venue on Friday night with a special guest appearance from Jamiroquai. The chart-topping songstress and Jamiroquai performed an incredible duet of the 1996 hit, Virtual Insanity, for her Radical Optimism tour. Vocalist Jay Kay was rocking a classic black hat with a purple trim and a white fringe jacket for the surprise performance, along with purple trousers. Fans were over the moon with the shock guest and rushed to social media to share their excitement, with one user revealing they "wish" they were at the concert in London to witness the duet. However, when fans got wind that 360 hit-maker Charli xcx was the special guest on Saturday, they were riddled with envy as they complained that they were 'robbed' of a bigger and more current artist the night before. On social media, several fans who attended the Wembley gig on Friday fumed that Jamiroquai wasn't as good of a match as Charli. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, one fan said: "The balance just feels off. Yes, Jamiroquai is a big artist who has sold millions of records, but when he popped out on stage you could just feel that tinge of disappointment in the air. There had been rumours that Adele would be her special guest, and other names like Raye and Harry Styles were thrown around too." The unimpressed concert-goer continued: "The majority of Dua's fans are young - like Gen Z's and even younger - so when an artist from the 90s came out on stage, it just kind of felt like the wrong choice. Don't get me wrong it was an amazing performance and Dua killed the vocals while singing with him, but to find out that someone as HUGE as Charli was lined-up for the second night, just seems a bit unfair. People are bound to be absolutely livid." It comes after the Kosovo-born singer was overcome with emotion as she fulfilled her ultimate dream during her performance at Wembley on Friday night. The global mega-star has had a fast rise to fame since she first emerged in the music industry, and she's showing no signs of slowing down. On Friday, she headlined Wembley Stadium for the first time on the first of two nights at the home of English football, before moving on to Anfield in Liverpool. But the British and Albanian star couldn't believe what was happening as she addressed the sold-out crowd who'd flocked to north-west London to see her perform. Fans had been camping out at the stadium since Thursday, hoping to get to the very front row to see their idol deliver her biggest hits. Addressing the crowd, Dua said: "It means the absolute world to me that you're here tonight. It feels really special to be here today." The Levitating songstress continued: "It's been ten years since our first ever London show, which happened to be about 350 people, and I dreamt of a night like this that I get to be in front of 70,000 people. I'm so, so blown away." Dua, who joins a small club of female solo artists to headline the stadium, reflected on her career, admitting she believes one song changed her life, after she was signed to her management and record label. That song was Hotter Than Hell, which was fitting as the UK enjoyed its hottest day of the year. .
