On Saturday, however, Glazer caught the attention when he uploaded a video to
social media
showing him and Kerr post-workout, with the pair taking on a sparring session as part of efforts to get the latter in shape for the premiere of his new movie.
"Hey @therock please tell this fool @tsmkerr that everyone spars on red carpets," Glazer wrote in the caption. "It's common practice. I keep trying to tell him. Don't worry though I'm doing my part as a friend. 'Thanks for punching me in the head.' Hahahahaha #TheSmashingMachine @a24 #MarkKerr #og"
In the 22 second clip, the pair appeared in good spirits as Glazer joked with Kerr, with the Fox
NFL
star doing his best to convince his pal to be ready to spar with "The Rock" when they finally hit the red carpet.
"Trying to get my boy back into shape here for 'The Smashing Machine'. Although he's like, 'I don't need to spar first'. I'm like, 'yes you do, Dwayne says you gotta spar every red carpet, like 15 rounds'," Glazer says in the video. "It's exactly why we're doing this. What are friends for?"
Kerr then responds with a sarcastic, "yeah, thanks for punching me in the head," which immediately draws laughter from the pair, before Glazer says: "My pleasure." Kerr then signs off with "much appreciated."
Back in December, Glazer had uploaded another video onto X in which he is filmed shaving Kerr's head for his birthday. The 55-year-old joked how the UFC legend had been going around with "a George Costanza haircut for far too long", in a nod to Kerr's balding.
"Friend of the year over here… giving my brother @tsmkerr Mark Kerr the best birthdays gift EVER!!" Glazer began in his caption. "Mark's life is about to change as my baby niece @therock is playing Mark in a movie about his life, 'The Smashing Machine.'
"Well being the great friend I am… I had to have a hair intervention. NOW you're ready for the red carpet my friend. Andddddd you're welcome Mark. Happy birthday to one of the baddest men who ever walked this planet, an amazing training partner and one of the most loyal friends a guy could ask for. Love ya and once again, you're welcome."
Kerr is a UFC Hall of Famer and former mixed martial arts fighter known for his dominance in the early days of the UFC. Some of his career highlights include winning the UFC 14 and UFC 15 heavyweight tournaments.
As for Glazer, he will be expected to return as part of the FOX NFL Sunday panel for the upcoming football season, although he will hope to avoid
being told to 'watch himself'
by colleague and NFL legend Michael Strahan just like he was last year.

Rory McIlroy inside top ten as Tommy Fleetwood leads Travelers
Rory McIlroy remains inside the top ten, however, he sits nine shots off the lead ahead of the final day at the Travelers Championship. McIlroy actually moved up the leaderboard following his third round 68, now into a share of eighth place, but is unlikely to challenge for the title on Sunday as Tommy Fleetwood heads the field on 16-under-par. The five-time major winner enjoyed the perfect start on Saturday as he played a flawless front nine in four under par following birdies on the second, fourth, sixth and eighth holes, however, his round began to unravel on the 12th hole as he made double bogey. McIlroy got one shot back on the 15th but handed it right back on the following hole before finishing with a couple of pars to sign for a two-under round and sit on seven under for the tournament. Shane Lowry also moved up the leaderboard, following an impressive four-under 66 to end the day on one-over-par. Five birdies and just the solitary bogey for the former Open champion who ended the day in a share of 51st place. Fleetwood, who is still searching for his maiden PGA Tour victory, put himself in prime position for Sunday's final round by posting a seven-under 63 to lead by three shots from American duo Russell Henley and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.
