Michelle Keegan lands major six-figure deal in first project since welcoming baby Palma
Michelle Keegan has reportedly signed up for a major TV project, which will be her first on-screen role since giving birth to her daughter Palma in March.
Michelle Keegan has reportedly landed an eye-watering six figure deal after welcoming her daughter Palma with husband Mark Wright. T he Fool Me Once star, 38, and former TOWIE star, 38, welcomed daughter Palma Elizabeth Wright on March 6, and took to social media to share their happy news earlier this year.
Alongside a black and white snap of them holding their newborn's tiny hand, the couple wrote: "Together we have a new love to share … Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright … 06.03.25." The former Corrie star recently celebrated her 38th birthday with Mark and Palma while enjoying the Spanish sun in Marbella.
She is now reportedly set to embark on her first big project since becoming as mum as The Sun reports she has reportedly signed a contract to become a promotional face for Sky. The publication has reported that Keegan will film advertising material for the broadcaster, alongside Luther star Idris Elba, who has long been a brand ambassador for Sky.
Michelle already has an existing relationship with Sky, having starred in comedy-drama Brassic since 2019, the Metro reports.
Sky confirmed production is well underway on the show's seventh and final series which will return to screens later this year.
This led to some speculation that the show had been suddenly axed but Michelle, who plays Erin Croft in the programme, took to Instagram to shut down these rumours.
Sharing a video of the cast, she wrote: "And just for the record… Brassic has not been 'AXED' or 'cancelled' it's come to a natural end after 6 fantastic seasons and we're currently in the middle of making the 7th and final season."
The post on her Instagram stories continued: "Sending love to all the Brassic fans out there."
Sky were also keen to reiterate that Brassic had not been axed after hailing it as their most successful comedy ever.
A spokesperson said: "Fans very quickly became attached to this dynamic group of friends, as they found unconventional ways to win at life in northern suburbia."
"We would like to thank Joe Gilgun, Danny Brocklehurst and the whole cast and crew – past and present – for bringing us all a truly iconic series, which we've loved for its special mix of hilarity and heart."
Brassic first premiered in August 2019 and will be coming to an end later this year, with no official release date being confirmed as of yet.
One of Keegan's most successful roles to date came early last year when she played the leading character, Maya Stern, in the on-screen adaptation of Harlan Coben's novel, Fool Me Once.
The thriller series, which dropped on Netflix on January 1 2024, was a huge success on the streaming platform.
Fool Me Once was number one in 91 Netflix countries and seen by 61 million people in the first two weeks.
Michelle was applauded for her outstanding performance and described the reaction to the show as "overwhelming".
She was honoured with the 2024 Variety Club Silver Heart Award for outstanding achievement in global television and streaming for her role in Fool Me Once.

Netflix fans rave over gore-filled revenge thriller with 'the female John Wick' - insisting 'they could make 100 more and I'd watch every one!'
Netflix fans have raved over a gore-filled revenge thriller with 'the female John Wick ' and insisted 'they could make 100 more and I'd watch every one!' The Wrath Of Becky premiered in 2023 and has recently been added to the streaming platform. Packed full of action and blood, the highly acclaimed film stars Lulu Wilson as the titular lead character, a teenage girl. Becky moved in with a new caregiver, Elena, and finds herself seeking revenge after a trio of extremists cause her hassle and steal her pet dog. The film follows on from a 2020 prequel, called Becky, which saw the young girl lose her father after a group of Neo-Nazi convicts attacked their family's lake house. Fans have enjoyed the film over the years and many have left their verdicts online. One viewer penned on Letterboxd: 'I could watch Lulu Wilson play Becky in 10 more sequels.' Another said: 'She's basically the female version of a teenage John Wick.' While someone else reportedly penned: 'They could make 100 films about Becky slaying Proud Boys and Neo Nazis and I would watch every single one of them.' 'Solid revenge thriller with some lovely kills and a little twist of humour,' another added. One fan said: 'Omg I was on the edge of my SEAT the entire time this was so intense but also somehow comedic HOW do you do that at the same time?? Pls watch this SEQUEL NOW SEQUEL NOW.' 'Did not realise this was a sequel but still enjoyed watching it nonetheless. A good action film that gets straight to the point,' someone else penned. However, not everyone has enjoyed the film and one said: 'It's a no from me.' It comes as Netflix fans are captivated by another thriller 'full of twists and turns', gushing about how 'it kept them guessing until the very end' and binge-watching every episode in one sitting. Love Rat, first released to Channel 5 in March last year, follows Emma (Coronation Street 's Sally Lindsay), a woman at a crossroads in later life. Fans have enjoyed the film over the years and many have left their verdicts online with some taking to Letterboxd However, not everyone has enjoyed the film and one said: 'It's a no from me.' Just divorced from husband Pete (Men Behaving Badly's Neil Morrissey) and estranged from her daughter, she grows tired of mundane everyday life. In search of escape, she travels to Cyprus on holiday where she quickly embarks on a whirlwind romance with handsome, rich hotel owner Niko (Gerald Kyd) - but not all is as it seems. Emma suddenly finds herself scammed out of her life savings - and enlists her ex to help get them back. Fans have taken to film review and catalogue site IMDb to admire the four-part series, initially seemingly some fun in the sun, which turns into a psychological thriller. Lauren Goodger's BBL surgery regret as she looks worlds away from TOWIE debut
Lauren Goodger says she's 'ruined her looks' and looks "abnormal" as she plans to ditch her implants, 15 years after rising to fame alongside Mark Wright on The Only Way Is Essex Fifteen years on from her first appearance on The Only Way Is Essex, Lauren Goodger looks dramatically different and she's the first to admit it. When the hit reality show launched back in 2010, Lauren was one of a group of unknowns who quickly found themselves thrust into the spotlight, with their glamorous lives in Brentwood playing out in front of the nation. Fast-forward to now, and Lauren, 38, has spoken candidly about the many cosmetic procedures she's undergone over the years – and the regrets that have come with them. The reality star, who returned to TOWIE last year, said: 'I've ruined my looks with surgery. I hate my fake boobs and bum now. I feel like my body looks abnormal. I don't need these massive boobs and massive bum.' She added: 'When I look at myself naked in the mirror, all I see are lumps and bumps everywhere.' Lauren shot to fame as part of TOWIE 's original line-up and quickly became a central figure thanks to her high-profile relationship with co-star Mark Wright, who is now married to Michelle Keegan and has welcomed their first child. After exiting the show in 2012 following her break-up, she made a short return in 2016 before deciding to rejoin the cast again last year, saying it felt like the right moment to step back into the public eye. Over the years, Lauren has openly discussed the many changes she's made to her appearance. Back in 2011, she revealed she had undergone a rhinoplasty to fix a broken nose following an accident. She then opted for breast augmentation surgery in 2013, boosting her cup size from 34D to 34E. But one of the most significant transformations came in 2017, when she travelled to Turkey for a Brazilian bum lift, an experience she revealed in 2023 she regrets and is looking for a way to reverse the procedure. Speaking honestly, she said: 'I'm not sure how I'm going to do that yet. I'm not sure if there is a procedure that can reverse the BBL. I'm looking into potentially getting the fat sucked out, but I don't know if that's an option. I'm going to speak to lots of different surgeons and figure out my options.' She went on to call the BBL 'the worst experience' of her life, explaining she now wants a more natural figure again but isn't certain how to achieve that. Lip fillers have also featured heavily in Lauren's beauty journey. In early 2023, she debuted the results of the 'butterfly effect' filler trend the same one favoured by Katie Price telling followers: 'I've just had the butterfly effect lip fillers by Lift Aesthetics, I've got the tape on at the minute so I'm talking really weird. 'I'm very swollen but literally a new technique, it's so amazing and I can't wait to see the results.' Despite her long-standing openness about treatments and enhancements, Lauren revealed that her battles with anxiety had previously stopped her from making more permanent changes. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared: 'I have suffered tremendous anxiety due to things I've been through which led me to being caffeine and alcohol free but also stopped me being able go abroad on holiday or have surgery or so minor treatments I've been so bad with anxiety…' 'But today I've spoke to the amazing @simonsmithsurgeon as I want to take the step to get my implants removed in my boobs… I do not want them I just need to get this done and I'm terrified but I know it's also much healthier for me and I don't need them anymore. I can't wait for my natural boobs back xxxx.' From Essex glam queen to a woman on a journey back to herself, Lauren Goodger is ready to leave the past behind one procedure at a time as she embraces her natural look.
