Newlyweds Nick Knowles and wife Katie packed on the PDA as they enjoyed their first public outing as a married couple on Friday. The DIY SOS presenter, 62, and his new spouse, 34, were all smiles as they shared a smooch at day four of Royal Ascot.
Nick Knowles and Katie tied the knot in a lavish six-figure ceremony at the start of June after being together for over four years. The happy couple first crossed paths back in 2019 and made their relationship official two years later in 2021.
Basking in their newlywed bliss, Strictly Come Dancing star Nick and Katie looked dapper as they joined race goers and celebrities like Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo at the jewel in the crown of the UK racing calendar.
Katie donned a blue and white frock strikingly similar to her wedding dress, as she planted a smacker on her new husband at the star-studded event.
She complemented her outfit with a chic navy hat and elevated her stature with strappy nude heels, all the while flashing a radiant smile for the camera.
Accompanying her, Nick looked dapper in a black suit and light blue silk waistcoat, as the couple demonstrated they were still very much in their honeymoon phase.
Nick and Katie certainly spared no expense for their special day, with reports suggesting the event cost into the six figures. Nick cut a dapper figure in a light pink tuxedo jacket, paired with black trousers and a matching black bow tie. He completed his look with a purple flower in his lapel.
Meanwhile, Katie turned heads in a non-traditional wedding gown. Eschewing the typical all-white dress, she chose a white gown adorned with blue flowers. Her hair was elegantly styled in a bun and she opted for full glam bridal makeup. She accessorised her look with a sparkling statement necklace and a long veil.
The couple's paths first crossed in 2019 when Katie's daughters became friends with Nick's youngest son Eddie, 9, at a play centre. Katie runs a lingerie and sex toy business and also owns another company, Boobbix, which sells 'lactation products for breastfeeding mums'.
Nick proposed two years ago during a trip to New Orleans. Since then, Katie celebrated her final days of singlehood with a hen-do surrounded by her closest friends and family shortly before the big day.
Katie, who juggles motherhood with two kids, has found herself justifying the substantial age difference between her and Nick. Yet, she's not the first younger lady linked to the celebrity.
Back in 2019, Nick was spotted cosying up to 26 year old PR guru Emily Hallinan during a West End show date. The previous year, he dated marketing whizz Rebecca Kearns, who is said to be over three decades his junior.
Post-breakup with Rebecca, Nick was snapped looking rather close with Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten at the TV Choice Awards in September 2016.
The snaps, however, spelled the end for the pair, with Gemma recounting the ordeal: "One Sunday morning we were lying in bed and all these texts came through about us being photographed together. In an instant he completely changed. It was all about him and how it was going to affect his family. It was really cruel as he said it didn't matter for me. I felt sick."
She continued: "I said, 'Do you want to throw away what we have? We have done nothing wrong'. But he just dropped me like a ton of bricks. I thought it was a real relationship and he wasn't afraid to let others know."

A tough little filly called Cercene had just won The Coronation Stakes, one of Royal Ascot 's Championship races, and her connections were beside themselves. 'It's a lifetime's ambition to have a Group One winner,' said Joseph Murphy, a 70-year-old from Tipperary who has been training horses since 1977. 'This is 50 years of work – that's what it is. It's just a whole group of people together. This is heaven on earth.' Money could not have bought the feeling that washed over Murphy on Friday. Success at this meeting hits differently compared to any other time of year, as this is the place to be – and be seen. But money, though, is a theme that washes through the week. Racing finds itself in a tricky position at present, with a number of issues to address and problems to solve, but step into Ascot and you would wonder there are complaints about the sport. Ascot, you see, appeals to all. At one end of the spectrum, you have an influential owners such as Kia Joorabchian, the successful football agent, going head-to-head with the American financial whizz John Stewart at auction on Monday evening. The Goffs London Sale, staged in Kensington Gardens, kick starts Royal Ascot week, with high rollers from around the world coming in to buy horses that ready to run and hold entries at the meeting. Joorabchian and Stewart went head-to-head in dramatic fashion for Lot 10, a beautiful colt called Ghostwriter, with the former coming out on top. Ghostwriter will run for a first prize of £141,775 in Saturday's Hardwucke Stakes. He cost Joorabchian £2million. You don't need pockets that deep, however, to get the unbridled joy of an Ascot win. Havana Hurricane blew his rivals away in the Windsor Castle Stakes on Wednesday and had been bought for £9,000 by his trainer Eve Johnson Houghton. His bounty for winning was £62,381. This provides the best example of the spectrum that Royal Ascot takes in. It is for everyone and you can enjoy it, however much you want to pay. Of course it is possible to pay through the nose. Entry into the Queen Anne Enclosure is £110 and, on your way to it, you will walk past pop-up stalls from luxury watchmaker Longines and bespoke fashion designer LK Bennett. The outfits racegoers are wearing show that no expense has been spared, with gentlemen applying little luxurious flourishes to their Morning Suits by buying floral buttonholes from a trader on Ascot High Street. The charge is at your discretion but it was easy to see crisp £20 notes being tendered for the service. Yet it's not all bank-breaking stuff. One gentleman on X posted that his tie for the meeting, pink and purple to match his waistcoat, had cost £1.70 from a local charity shop. 'You have 300,000 people over five days; everyone from the King of England to someone who has saved all of their expendable income over the last few months,' said Ascot CEO Fliss Barnard during an interview with the Sunday Telegraph ahead of the meeting. 'There's an ecosystem of getting the product right, the pricing and how you're telling people about it.' There are soaring temperatures but punters have 16 hydrations stations Guinness costs £7.80 a pint, in line with what you would pay at Cheltenham, Aintree or Newmarket (courses that are owned by The Jockey Club); Whispering Angel, the rose wine that is enormously popular, will set you back £75 for a bottle, while a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne is £100. All bars have been doing a roaring trade. Not that you have needed alcohol to combat the raging temperatures: there are 16 hydration stations around Ascot and free bottles of water have been given away at the end of the day to keep racegoers cool. The customer experience is key. Barnard, a 42-year-old mother-of-two who once worked with West Ham, makes the point about an ecosystem and she is right: you can bring a picnic into the centre of the course, open from Thursday to Saturday, and spend as much or as little as you want. A ticket to the Heath enclosure is £45 and when you compare that to other sporting events, it is impossible not to see the value. The quality of the sport, which is what it is all about, is relentlessly high, with superstars emerging from all angles. It costs Ascot £30million to stage the event but the return is exceptional, as between 70 and 80 per cent of their annual turnover is generated. The most recent financial figures saw Ascot turnover £110.9million, so it illustrates the importance. Another aspect to emphasise is that £200million loan that they took out in 2005 to build the stand that takes your breath away – one American visitor on Wednesday stood and looked at it from the parade ring for five minutes in awe – has been paid back. Study the figures long enough and it is enough to make you dizzy but one thing is true: the buzz it provides, the memories it creates is on another level. Murphy called 'heaven' – he wouldn't be alone in speaking that way.

The Princess of Wales has shared an adorable new photo to mark husband Prince William's birthday. The Prince of Wales turns 43 today and to celebrate, the official Kensington Royal account posted a picture of him posing with the family dog Orla - and her new puppies. The black cocker spaniel - gifted to the family by Kate's brother James Middleton in 2020 - recently gave birth to four puppies. The photo of William, Orla and her brood was taken by the Princess in Windsor earlier this month. The caption reads: "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!" King Charles and Queen Camilla have also wished William a happy birthday. The couple posted a photo on their official Instagram page that shows him smiling widely while sat on a rock wall. It is not known exactly how the heir to the throne is celebrating today. Bu he will surely be swapping any work matters for precious family time with the Princess of Wales and their children. A year ago, William was in a very different place, as wife Kate was still undergoing chemotherapy treatment after her cancer diagnosis. At the same time, his father the King has also been diagnosed with the disease. Not only was he on hand to support them both, but he also proved to be a rock for his three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. He memorably described 2024 as "brutal" and significantly one of the "hardest of his life". But with Kate now in remission, things look different 12 months on as he turns a year older, focus shifts slightly to duty. In the past week, not only has he been at Trooing and Garter Day but also Royal Ascot and carried out a visit alongside actress Cate Blanchett to Colorifix - a Norwich-based company which creates sustainable dye for clothing, and is one of his Earthshot Prize finalists. And former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond tells the Mirror that William is "extremely serious" when it comes to the job that his life has given him. She explained: "As he himself has said, if he can't make some kind of difference, some kind of impact on issues he cares so deeply about – then what is the point of being a prince or of having such a high profile platform? "So, now that the crisis of the past 18 months has eased, he seems to be working pretty much flat out for much of the time, and I'm sure that will continue." But despite his work and duty, there is one thing that always comes first for William as well as wife Kate - family. William is a very hands-on parent, doing the school run and ferrying the kids to their various after-school sports clubs and activities. Putting family first was no more so evident than at Easter earlier this year when he and his family skipped the traditional Easter Sunday church service with the King and Queen at Windsor to spend precious family time together - all with the King's blessing. And even if his schedule may seem busier, Jennie believes this family time is something William will always make a priority. She said: "These years are a period when, without the never-ending state duties of a monarch, he can be allowed to concentrate rather more fully on his wife and children. So I think school holidays will continue to be ring-fenced as much as possible, even if he is criticised for doing so. "You just have to look at the pictures of William and his children released for Father's Day to see how much they adore him and how close they are as a family. This tall, handsome, smiling man is their dad and their protector. And William would never want to put that in any jeopardy."
