Krysten Ritter to return as Jessica Jones in ‘Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2
Marvel has officially confirmed that Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The announcement was made during Disney's Upfront presentation in New York City, putting months of speculation to rest.
Ritter, who originally portrayed the hard-edged private investigator in the Netflix series Jessica Jones from 2015 to 2019, expressed excitement about stepping back into the role. 'It is so great to be back,' she said on stage. 'Returning to Jessica after three seasons, and The Defenders, and now joining the MCU — this is going to be an incredible season.'
Her return marks another step in Marvel Studios' ongoing integration of Netflix's former Marvel characters into the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe. Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, better known as Daredevil, made a high-profile return in Daredevil: Born Again, and Ritter's reappearance brings another fan-favorite into the fold.
