Morata on Como shortlist despite ongoing Galatasaray commitment
Reports in Italy claim that Spain national team captain Alvaro Morata, who is still owned by Milan, could be an option for Como in the summer transfer window, despite the player's ongoing loan deal with Galatasaray.
Morata joined Milan in the last summer transfer window, in 2024, after the Rossoneri agreed to pay the €13m release clause in the Spaniard's contract with Atletico Madrid.

The first half of the 2024-25 season did not get off to the smoothest of starts for Morata, or for the Rossoneri collectively. Head coach Paulo Fonseca, who had only taken over in the summer, was sacked at the end of December, and Morata followed him out of the door soon afterwards.

In the end, Morata joined Galatasaray on loan with a series of options to buy.
Galatasaray paid a fee of €6m to bring Morata in on loan for 12 months, until January of 2026. They have an option to extend that loan deal until June 2026 for an additional €3m, and have options to buy in January 2026 for €8m and in June 2026 for €9m.

However, according to reports from Calciomercato.com, Morata is also on the shortlist for Como, who are reportedly targeting a spot in the European places in Serie A next season.

Gianluca Di Marzio adds that there has already been contact between the Spain international and compatriot Fabregas.
Cesc Fabregas's side are backed by the wealthiest owners of any club in Serie A, and also have the benefit of a strong relationship between the coach and Morata, who played together at Chelsea and for the Spain national team.

Thursday's report claims that there is a possibility that Como look to interrupt the loan and options to buy agreement between Milan and Galatasaray in order to bring the 32-year-old back to Serie A for the start of the 2025-26 season.
Cagliari's Roberto Piccoli has also been mentioned as a possible option for Como.

Federico Chiesa sent blunt Liverpool transfer demand by new Italy boss
Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa has been told he needs to be playing regularly if he is to realise his World Cup dream by new Italy boss Gennaro Gattuso. The forward made just one Premier League start last season. Advertisement That came which came in a 3-2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion last month after the Premier League title had been won by Arne Slot's side. The £12m signing from Juventus featured for just 464 minutes across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign and, as a result, has been linked with a move away from Anfield, with clubs in Italy linked with a swoop. Reds boss Slot said last month that Chiesa will be given a full pre-season to prove himself after his late addition to the squad in 2024 on the back of virtually no summer programme at Juve. And speaking at his unveiling as the new Azzurri boss, former AC Milan midfielder Gattuso has revealed he has held talks with Chiesa about what he must do to find his back into the international reckoning. 'I told Chiesa that he needs to find a way to get settled and play consistently," Gattuso said. "This applies to everyone." Speaking to Italian publication in La Gazetta dello Sport earlier this month, Chiesa said: 'My family, my agent and I have a great relationship with Liverpool, and the goal is to be ready for the pre-season. We'll find the best solution for everyone. Advertisement 'I work every day with a Liverpool programme to be in top shape for the tests on July 8. 'While out of the squad (at Juventus), I was able to train in great condition, but I missed playing friendlies. I had to start from scratch at Liverpool and that held me back. "I hope (next season) it's my season, my dream is to participate in the World Cup. I played and won a European Championship, the World Cup would be the best." Despite speculation linking Chiesa with a transfer back to Italy, Slot said last month that he expects the attacker to remain on Merseyside, suggesting he will given a chance after a full and interrupted pre-season period. Advertisement Asked if Chiesa had a future at the club, Slot said: "Yes, definitely he has, yes. Definitely. I think everyone playing for us over here has a future over here. "Next season, if he comes back completely fit, which he has hardly been for the first half-season but then afterwards he became fitter and fitter. "The next steps should have been playing time, which I couldn't give him. But I can give him playing time in pre-season, so he can build himself up and then go even further."

Juventus holding talks in swap deal for Nayef Aguerd
Serie A giants Juventus are interested in signing West Ham centre-back Nayef Aguerd in the summer transfer window. Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the defender is being closely monitored by the Bianconeri, having spent the previous season on loan at Real Sociedad. Advertisement Juve have already made contact with West Ham over a move and the two parties are talking to each other about the feasibility of a move. The deal can potentially include Daniele Rugani and it can take the form of a swap. The move is only in an initial phase and it can evolve in the next few days, depending on how the talks go. It is clear that the Morocco international is an important target for Juve, who are looking to bolster their backline and can lose more than one centre-back this summer. Rugani spent the previous season on loan at Ajax and is already back with the Juve squad. Kaustubh Pandey I GIFN

Xabi Alonso's former club aiming to take 14 G/A star away from Real Madrid
Real Madrid have already made three summer signings in Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Franco Mastantuono, but more are expected to arrive after the Club World Cup concludes in July. Alvaro Carreras is wanted as a new left-back, while there could be a return to the Santiago Bernabeu for Nico Paz. Paz was sold last summer by Real Madrid to Serie A side Como, where he was very impressive during the 2024-25 season. He scored six goals and provided eight assists across 35 appearances, while his overall performances were also good. And as such, this has led to interest growing in his services. Bayer Leverkusen join race for Nico Paz The likes of Inter and Arsenal have been linked in recent weeks, and now a new name has emerged: Bayer Leverkusen. As per Florian Plettenburg, the Bundesliga side have Paz on their list of targets to replace Liverpool-bound Florian Wirtz. Image via MATTEO BAZZI / EFE Advertisement Real Madrid have the option to re-sign Paz this summer for a bargain price of €8m. And while reports have suggested that they will aim to do so, it is unlikely to happen until the middle of July when the Club World Cup is over. As such, Leverkusen would have an advantage in efforts to negotiate with Como. Paz has shown his potential in the last 12 months, but it must be remembered that Real Madrid have an abundance of attacking midfielders. Xabi Alonso has Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and now Mastantuono to choose from, which means that Paz is not particularly needed at the Bernabeu. Nevertheless, Real Madrid could trigger the buy-back clause before selling Paz on for a significant profit. And if this were to be the case, Leverkusen would have a chance of getting a deal done, especially as they will have plenty of funds after selling Wirtz.
