‘Fubar' Season 2 Debut Barely Makes Netflix Weekly TV List Amid Steep Audience Decline As ‘Ginny & Georgia' Remains On Top
Arnold Schwarzenegger's FUBAR returned for its second season last week, but it appears audiences had other streaming priorities.
Season 2 generated about 2.2M views in its opening weekend after debuting on June 12, placing it at No. 10 on the weekly Netflix Top 10 English TV charts. That's quite a fall from grace compared to the first season, which racked up about 11M views during its own premiere weekend back in May 2023.

Instead, Ginny & Georgia Season 3 was the big winner, managing 16.9M views from June 9 to 15. It was comfortably atop the English TV list for the week.
Once again, Seasons 1 and 2 also benefitted from the popularity of the new season. Season 2 came in fifth place with 4.2M views, while Season 1 took sixth with 3.3M.
In second place was The Survivors, an Australian whodunit series that tallied 9M views in its second week on the streamer. Sirens also continued to perform fairly well, coming in third place with 4.3M views. That was closely followed by crime thriller Dept. Q in fourth place, also with 4.3M views.
As for the film side of things, Tyler Perry's Straw picked up an impressive 48.9M views, making it both the biggest week this year for a movie and the biggest week for a 2025 launch. That's a positive sign that we may see it eventually land among Netflix's most popular English films of all time.
Audiences also revisited the OceanGate submersible disaster in the new Netflix documentary Titan, which premiered recently at Tribeca Film Festival. The film took in 17.4M views, putting it at No. 2 on the weekly English films list.

Astroworld is back in the spotlight and survivors are sharing haunting stories on TikTok
Astroworld is back in the news, and social media has some thoughts. In November 2021, a deadly crowd surge at Travis Scott's Astroworld music festival claimed the lives of 10 people. The then-annual event, held in the rapper's hometown of Houston, became one of the worst concert tragedies in U.S. history. It is now the subject of the new Netflix documentary Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy. With renewed interest in the incident, survivors have taken to social media to share their own footage from the event. 'Only if I knew bro,' one attendee posted on TikTok over footage of himself in the crowd. The audio accompanying the clip is taken from the documentary: 'It started getting pretty hectic,' one survivor says. 'I'm like 'Oh my god I can't take a deep breath,'' adds another. 'Since everyone else is sharing their Astroworld experience,' another TikTok user wrote in the caption of a clip, which shows him tightly packed in the crowd as Scott performs. 'Not too long after this I got bumped into due to the crowd swaying and ended up falling on top of someone in the fetal position,' he wrote. 'We ended up getting out but man it was a struggle.' In other horrifying footage, the panicking audience can be heard calling for help. 'I've never posted this video before, rest in peace to all innocent lives lost,' the closed captions read over the video. Even before Scott took the stage, the crowd seemed to sense something was wrong. 'We are gonna die,' one attendee 'jokes' in a clip, now with 10.3 million views, filming the unsafe conditions. 'Saying this as a joke but on the inside this was a real feeling,' she wrote in the closed captions. 'This about to be bad when it starts,' another can be heard saying. 'Bro literally called it,' the captions add. 'I believe Astroworld 2021 was not an accident,' crowd safety expert Scott Davidson says in the documentary. 'It was an inevitability due to the lack of foresight and the abandonment of basic safety protocols.' Nearly 5,000 people were injured as a result of the crush. The Netflix documentary, which premiered on June 10, features interviews with several survivors. In total, 10 people lost their lives: Axel Acosta, Danish Baig, Rudy Peña, Madison Dubiski, Franco Patiño, Jacob Jurinek, John Hilgert, Bharti Shahani, Brianna Rodriguez, and Ezra Blount, who was just nine years old.

Netflix real estate agent Sara Burack killed in Hamptons hit-and-run
NEW YORK — Netflix star Sara Burack, best known as a luxury real estate agent who appeared on 'Million Dollar Beach House,' has died at age 40 in a Hamptons Bay hit-and-run. Burack was discovered lying unconscious on the side of Montauk Highway, near Villa Paul Restaurant, at around 2:45 a.m. Thursday. Responding officers found her with serious injuries indicating she'd been hit by a car, according to Southampton Town Police. She was immediately rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she died that afternoon, confirmed her friend and fellow real estate agent Paulette Orlando-Corsair. Orlando-Corsair said Burack suffered severe injuries to her head, brain and liver, as well as a broken leg. Police on Friday were still on the hunt for the driver, who fled the scene of the crash, as well as for information on the vehicle involved. Authorities have asked the public to come forward with any leads that can help identify the suspect. Burack lived in Southampton and was a successful broker and former agent with Nest Seekers International, a luxury firm with offices in New York City, the Hamptons, Connecticut and New Jersey. 'My family has a commercial construction material sales business that I spent many years of my life working for,' Burack told in 2020. 'I have always been intrigued by real estate projects and decided to become a broker after my experience as a summer property manager in the summer house I would rent.' 'I have been spending half the year in the Hamptons for the past 11 years,' she added. 'It was only natural to turn my love for real estate into a blossoming career.' Burack starred on the reality series 'Million Dollar Beach House' in 2020. The show followed a group of young and hungry real estate agents as they competed to seal the deal on luxury listings in the Hamptons. Burack is survived by her parents, sister and brother-in-law.

Bertha was fed up with Mrs. Astor denying her family an opera box, which was seen as a symbol of status and power. The new venue threatened audience attendance on opening night at the Academy of Music. Bertha won the opera war when the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb) ultimately decided to attend the Met opening, which was met with high societal fanfare. But Bertha's victory came at a cost, it seems, which is implied at the end of the season that she promised her daughter Gladys's (Taissa Farmiga) hand to the Duke. The Russell family patriarch, George Russell (Morgan Spector), faced backlash from the steelworkers who manufactured his railroads and demanded fair pay and better working conditions. Tensions reached a boiling point when armed militia were ready to shoot the protesting laborers. George called off his men before things turned violent and granted some of the laborers' demands. Meanwhile, Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) found out that her son Oscar (Blake Ritson) had lost the family fortune. Ada Forte (Cynthia Nixon), Agnes's sister, learns that her late husband left her a substantial fortune, and the power dynamic Agnes had with Ada has started to shift. The period melodrama included juicy romances in the love lives of Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson) and Peggy Scott (Denée Benton). Marian realized she's in love with Larry Russell (Harry Richardson), while Peggy shut down her affair with T. Thomas Fortune (Sullivan Jones), a married man. According to a media release from HBO, the Russell family is poised to take their place at the head of high society, following Bertha's victory in the opera wars. 'Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights, while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry — if it doesn't ruin him first,' HBO says. Bertha has high hopes for a marriage between her daughter Gladys and the Duke, despite her daughter's interest in another young man, Billy Carlton (Matt Walker). In Season 2, George had also promised Gladys she could marry for love, even if it went against Bertha's wishes. This leads to greater conflict between George and Bertha in the new season. Across 61st Street from the Russell household on the Upper East Side, Agnes struggles to accept Ada's new position as lady of the house with her newfound wealth. Peggy meets a new love interest from Newport, R.I., whose family isn't keen on her career as a writer and journalist.
