Time of India6 days ago

The makers of the upcoming season of Reacher have announced the details regarding its initial cast and crew. The makers of Reacher Season 4 have welcomed eight new actors to its cast.
Reacher Season 4, which stars
Alan Ritchson
in the title role, is based on Gone Tomorrow, the thirteenth book in Lee Child's internationally acclaimed Jack Reacher novel series.
The show's description reads, 'When a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a train goes horribly wrong, Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power.'
New cast members joining Ritchson for Reacher Season 4 include: Jay Baruchel as Jacob Merrick, Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth, Anggun as Amisha Hoth, Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum, Marc Blucas as John Samson, Kevin Corrigan as Detective Docherty, and Kathleen Robertson as Elsbeth Samson.
Baruchel will play Jacob Merrick, a small-town policeman. Noel will play Tamara Green, a detective with the Philadelphia Police Department. Mo will portray Lila Hoth, a young Indonesian woman who, along with her mother Amisha Hoth (Anggun), comes to Philadelphia to track down Lila's American biological father. Corrigan will play Detective Docherty, Tamara's partner.
Weisman will portray Russell Plum, a freelance journalist in Washington DC who has been surveilling a suspected CIA black site.

Blucas will play John Samson, a U.S. Congressman, while Robertson will play his wife, Elsbeth Samson.
Reacher fans familiar with Gone Tomorrow may notice that the OTT series has tweaked some of the character names from the novel, with Merrick replacing Mark, Tamara swapping in for Theresa, Elspeth trading out the 'p' for a 'b' to become Elsbeth, and Svetlana becoming Amisha. The only major characters from Gone Tomorrow who remain to be cast for Season 4 are Susan Mark (likely Susan Merrick in the series) and Mr Springfield.
The streaming platform handed Reacher an early Season 4 renewal back in October 2024, four months before the third season premiered on the platform. It went on to become the biggest returning series in the streaming platform's history.
The first three seasons of 'Reacher' are now streaming on OTT. A release window for Season 4 has not yet been announced.

Ustad Bahauddin Dagar: At 16, I saw timelessness in music

Growing up, the little Bahauddin saw his mother teach sitar every day and his uncle indulge in jazz. 'Once, American jazz musician Don Cherry came home as well. It was my uncle who exposed me to new genres; in no time, I was listening to Boney M, Madonna, hard rock, and metal. I even had a keen interest in painting and considered pursuing Fine Arts. But at 16, something changed,' he reveals. What was that turning point? The maestro recalls, 'Well, I played the tanpura behind my father at The Festival of India tour in 1986. Suddenly, my eyes and ears opened to the nuances of music…it was marvellous. I saw a timelessness in it.' Thereafter, he devoted his days to music. But he started learning the Rudra Veena, which is second nature to him today, after his father passed away in 1990. 'This instrument requires undivided attention. Family and friends become secondary. And I do not regret my decision at all,' he states. In a line of work that requires, by and large, hours of riyaaz (practice), steely focus, and perfection, Ustad Bahauddin confesses that he makes mistakes — and is not embarrassed. 'So what? It is not an examination. Making a mistake is when I am doing something new!' And embodying the 'new' is what this maestro solemnly stands by. 'When I was younger, people would chide me, saying I wasn't as good as my father. I wasn't hurt, no; rather, the fire in my belly prodded me to be better and new. If I am just like my father, what will be special about me?' he asks.

Prosenjit Chatterjee supports Aamir Khan's cinema-only release for ‘Sitaare Zameen Par': Aamir can take risk

Aamir Khan 's much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par hit theatres on June 20, and in a bold move, the superstar has chosen to release it exclusively in cinemas, skipping an OTT release entirely. This decision has sparked mixed reactions in the industry. In an interview with actor Prosenjit Chatterjee shared his thoughts on Aamir's choice. He acknowledged that while such changes are necessary in today's evolving film landscape, it takes someone with Aamir's experience and understanding of cinema to confidently take that kind of risk. Prosenjit Chatterjee on Aamir Khan's Bold Move Prosenjit Chatterjee said that Aamir Khan's decision to release 'Sitaare Zameen Par' only in theatres is a bold step. He believes that while this may not change everything right away, it's important that someone takes the first step. He also said there's no good or bad way to release a film, what matters is trying something new. "I remember long back when content would be sold to CD companies, and it paid producers handsomely. However, after a year or two, I realised that the CDs were already in the market in a few days, and the theatre business was getting affected. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo So I called up all the producers for a meeting and we jointly decided that while the rights would be sold off, we need to have a gap of a good 9-12 weeks. All producers came together, and things changed to a certain level," the Bengali actor said. Chatterjee Sees a Similar Trend from the Past Chatterjee mentioned that he had seen a similar pattern in the past when films first started premiering on television. "In three or four weeks, they would start playing Bengali and even Hindi films on television. So, we stopped that and said let's give it after eight weeks. To save the theatrical business and cinema, he (Aamir Khan) is a person who can think this way or take this kind of risk. Nothing will change, a film will come on OTT and then on satellite television. That's how it works, that's how we reach our Indian audiences. But let's see how this goes (Sitaare Zameen Par's only-cinema model), and I hope it works." Aamir Khan Returns with a Heartwarming Film Marking his comeback after three years, Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has received a warm response from both critics and audiences. Directed by RS Prasanna and also starring Genelia Deshmukh , the film is seen as a spiritual sequel to 'Taare Zameen Par', focusing on a heartfelt story involving children. SRK and Salman Show Support at the Premiere On June 19, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan joined Aamir Khan at the film's premiere. The two superstars were seen warmly interacting with the young cast members, fondly called the 'sitaare', making the evening even more special. 'It's on her terms': Taylor Swift reportedly won't change her last name even if she marries Travis Kelce, claims source

Sources confirm Taylor Swift intends to keep her iconic name even after marrying Travis Kelce (Getty Images) The rumors around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding plans continue to swirl, but one thing is clear—if a wedding does happen, don't expect the global pop superstar to take her partner's last name. According to a recent report from ShuterScoop, a source close to the singer said that the 'Swift' name isn't going anywhere, no matter what her relationship status becomes. Taylor Swift has built an empire around her name and won't let it go 'not even for Travis' With Taylor Swift's brand being one of the most powerful in entertainment today, the decision seems rooted in far more than just personal preference. The insider stated, 'When she gets married, it's on her terms. And that Swift name's not changing.' Another quote from the same source emphasized that the 14-time Grammy winner has no plans to shift her identity, saying, 'She's not giving that up. Not even for Travis.' Indeed, Swift has meticulously crafted her brand over nearly two decades. From her signature lyrics to her billion-dollar Eras Tour, the name 'Taylor Swift' is more than just a personal identifier—it's a global trademark. Wedding speculations grew after Taylor and Travis were named in NFL friend's guest list The marriage speculation ramped up earlier this month when Swift and Kelce's names appeared on a wedding guest list for NFL player Cole Kmet. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 임플란트 29만원 이벤트 임플란트 더 알아보기 Undo According to Page Six, the event planner for Kmet's wedding inadvertently revealed that the couple had been invited under the names 'Taylor and Travis Kelce.' This led fans to speculate whether the couple had already tied the knot privately or were planning to do so soon. However, the insider confirmed to ShuterScoop that the couple is not married 'yet.' And interestingly, Taylor and Travis didn't even attend the event. Instead, they were seen at Kelce's cousin's wedding, further fueling headlines but offering little clarity. While fans eagerly await a proposal, another report from RadarOnline suggests that the weight of public expectation may be getting to Kelce. 'The pressure is real – not just from Taylor, but from her fans and the media. Everyone's watching, everyone's speculating. It's enough to make anyone freeze,' a source revealed.
