With Alan Ritchson back as the badass drifter-turned-enforcer, this season is diving into Gone Tomorrow , the 13th book in the series. Among the newest additions we have Jay Baruchel ( Fubar ), who plays Jacob Merrick, a small-town cop whose path crosses with Reacher. Sydelle Noel ( GLOW ) plays Tamara Green, a sharp detective out of Philadelphia. She'll be paired with Kevin Corrigan ( Poker Face ) as her partner, Detective Docherty. Meanwhile, Agnez Mo steps into the role of Lila Hoth, a young Indonesian woman searching for her American biological father. Her mother, Amisha Hoth, will be played by Indonesian-French singer Anggun (Levitating). On the recurring side, Kevin Weisman ( Marvel's Runaways ) plays Russell Plum, a D.C.-based freelance journalist with his eye on a possible CIA black site. Marc Blucas ( My Life with the Walter Boys ) will portray Congressman John Samson, with Kathleen Robertson ( The Expanse ) as his wife, Elsbeth. Season 4 kicks off with a tense encounter on a late-night train that spirals into a dangerous conspiracy involving political power players and covert ops. Gone Tomorrow follows Reacher back into the chaos of New York City and Washington, D.C., where he witnesses something disturbing on a late-night subway: a woman showing all the signs of a potential suicide bomber. Reacher doesn't back away. He confronts her. But before he can get real answers, she pulls out a gun and ends her own life right in front of him. From there, things spiral into a dark conspiracy involving the Pentagon, buried secrets, and people who really don't want Reacher asking questions. Behind the scenes, showrunner Nick Santora returns, executive producing alongside Lee Child and star Alan Ritchson. Source: Deadline

Alan Ritchson Confirms Fan Theories About 'Reacher' Season 4
Alan Ritchson Confirms Fan Theories About 'Reacher' Season 4 originally appeared on Men's Fitness. Alan Ritchson just confirmed fan speculation in a new Instagram post about which of Lee Child's books Reacher Season 4 will follow. Season 4 will be based on the bestselling novel, Gone Tomorrow. "The thing about subway cars is you step on one and you never know what's going to happen," Ritchson captioned the latest post. Earlier this week, the official Reacher Instagram account teased the season with a cryptic post: a subway car, a Season 4 script, and the words "REACHER S4…" Fans began speculating shortly after the hint was dropped. The latest news of Season 4 left much less up to the imagination. Ritchson is seen holding up a copy of Gone Tomorrow in one hand, looking straight into the camera and making a number four with his other hand. The 2009 thriller kicks off with Reacher riding the NYC subway at 2 a.m.—right before chaos erupts. Needless to say, fans were excited about the official confirmation. "I'm screaming. This is one of my favorite books. Yesssss," one fan wrote in the comment section. "One of the best Reacher novels," another fan other details are confirmed, but fans are not-so-patiently waiting for an official release date. Season 3 of Reacher premiered on February 20 and concluded with the final season's episode on March 27. In its first 19 days, it pulled in 54.6 million global viewers, a slight bump from Season 2, according to Deadline. REACHER Season 4 Adds 8 New Faces to the Mix
Reacher Season 4 begins production this week. Eight new cast members — Jay Baruchel, Marc Blucas, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson — join Alan Ritchson, who plays the titular Jack Reacher. Season 4 will follow the story of Gone Tomorrow , the 13th Reacher novel, published in 2009. Photo Credit: Jasper Savage/Prime Video Prime Video's hit series, Reacher, scored a fourth season renewal in October 2024, four months before Reacher Season 3 premiered. Each season so far has been a fairly accurate adaptation of specific Lee Child novels. The first Jack Reacher novel, The Killing Floor , published in 1997, became Reacher Season 1, while Season 2 jumped ahead to 2007's Bad Luck and Trouble (Jack Reacher #11). Season 3 backtracked to the 2003 novel, Persuader (Jack Reacher #7). RELATED: Read our Reacher Season 3 recaps Earlier this week, Ritchson announced on Instagram that Season 4 will be based on Jack Reacher #13, Gone Tomorrow, first published in 2009. Joining Ritchson for Season 4 are: Jay Baruchel, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kecin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson. Who Are They Playing? Amazon teases the Gone Tomorrow plot: 'When a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a train goes horribly wrong, Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power.' Based on summaries of the novel, we can sketch out some of the new cast members' roles. Photo Credit:for Netflix Jay Baruchel, seen most recently in FUBAR and heard as Hiccup in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, plays Jacob Merrick, the brother of the 'distraught stranger' in the description. RELATED: Steven Universe Gets Prime Video Sequel, Lars of the Stars GGA folx will remember Marc Blucas as Riley Finn from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In the interim 23 years since the days of Riley and The Initiative, he's grown into the Reacher role of John Samson, a Washington politician with a squad of thugs on his payroll. Samson's wife, Elsbeth, is another familiar face. Kathleen Robertson appeared as Rosenfeld Guoliang in The Expanse Season 6. (Personally, I'll always remember her as Clare on Beverly Hills, 90210. ) Reacher Rocks Out A newcomer to North American television, but with a successful and established music career, Agnez Mo portrays Lila Hoth, described in the novel as representing herself as the widow of a Russian oligarch. (Strong possibility here that the Hoths will claim a connection to Indonesian political and military forces, considering the casting.) RELATED: TV Review: Reacher Season 3 Another actress with deep music industry ties, Anggun plays Amisha Hoth. In the novel, when Reacher meets Lila, she is a woman named Svetlana, whom she claims is her mother. As Agnez Mo and Anggun are only 12 years apart in age, their relationship may be rewritten. Photo Credit: Jesse Grant/Peacock Playing Detective Docherty, a New York City homicide detective, Kevin Corrigan hits the beat with a partner named Theresa Lee in the novel. I suspect Theresa is now Tamara Green. If I'm correct, that places Sydelle Noel as Reacher's primary law enforcement ally. We can only hope she'll break out some of her G.L.O.W. moves on the baddies. Axe kick, anyone? RELATED: Geek Girl Authority Crush of the Week: Frances Neagley Kevin Weisman's character, Russell Plum, is the only one without a clear Gone Tomorrow connection. There are several roles he could slide into easily. The Samsons have a head of security named Mr. Springfield in the book. Federal agents dog Reacher's steps throughout the plot. Plum could be wholly invented or borrowed from another book (like Maria Sten's Neagley) to fill in Reacher's social circle. Photo Credit: Jasper Savage/Prime Video Speaking of Neagley Maria Sten announced on Instagram a week ago that Neagley, the Reacher spin-off series, wrapped shooting. That puts it on track for a late 2025 or early 2026 release. Alan Ritchson guest stars as Reacher, returning the favor by helping out the way Neagley did in Seasons 2 and 3 of his show. All three seasons of Reacher are now streaming on Prime Video. A Great ‘Reacher' Season 4 Release Date Update, Book Adaptation Confirmation
Reacher We know that the Reacher spin-off Neagley has just finished production, and now we have confirmation that production on Reacher season 4 itself has now started. Plus, we seem to know what book it's adapting. This week, the Amazon Prime Video Reacher Instagram account posted a teaser of a script indicating the start of production. But the nature of the photo itself has seemingly revealed the book that's being adapted. The script sitting on a subway seat in New York's MTA, which would imply that Gone Tomorrow, the 13th Jack Reacher book, is being adapted for season 4, given that it takes place in NYC and has Reacher riding the subway. Two other books, The Hard Way and Tripwire, also take place in NYC, but it's almost certainly Gone Tomorrow. Here's the synopsis for that book: 'New York City. Two in the morning. A subway car heading uptown. Jack Reacher, plus five other passengers. Four are okay. The fifth isn't. And if you think Reacher isn't going to get involved . . . then you don't know Jack.' 'Susan Mark, the fifth passenger, had a big secret, and her plain little life was being watched in Washington, and California, and Afghanistan—by dozens of people with one thing in common: They're all lying to Reacher. A little. A lot. Or just enough to get him killed. A race has begun through the streets of Manhattan, a maze crowded with violent, skilled soldiers on all sides of a shadow war. For Jack Reacher, a man who trusts no one and likes it that way, the finish line comes when you finally get face-to-face and look your worst enemy in the eye.' Reacher As for the release date update, we can do some calculations if production has just started now on Reacher season 4. Here are the release dates for the past seasons: I covered this before, but to recap with some modifications: 'Reacher season 3 started filming in November 2023. Production wrapped in 2024 ahead of its February 2025 release date. So with filming and postproduction, that's 15 months. And 15 months from June 14, the estimated filming start date, that takes us to mid-September 2026 for a release date. That's 19 months between seasons, longer than the gap between seasons 2 and 3.' So, if everything remains the same in terms of production time, that's a year and a half between Reacher season 3 and 4. In the streaming era, that is actually on the low end of gaps between seasons, but far from the one-year spacing we used to get all the time. Still, it's clear Amazon's goal is to crank out as many seasons of Reacher as possible for as long as they can keep Alan Ritchson on board. Expect more filming updates to come, and Neagley is going to be airing during this gap period, though we don't have a release date for that yet. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram.
