Seahawks all-time record vs NFC East: updated for 2025
For the past two years, we at Seahawks Wire have been tracking the Seattle Seahawks' all-time records against every team in the NFL. It is important, we feel, to keep an updated log of Seattle's history and how they stack up with other squads in the league. We are resuming this ongoing series with updated records headed into the 2025 season.
So far in this series, we have done we have covered the NFC West, NFC North, NFC South and AFC South. We focused on the two southern divisions early due to the fact Seattle is paired against those divisions for the 2025 season. For our latest entry, we will officially be closing out the NFC with the East. The Seahawks were last slated to play the NFC East in 2023, but did have an infamous showdown with one of these teams last year.
Dallas Cowboys
All-time record: Dallas leads the series 12-10
Longest win streak: both teams have won three straight against each other, but Dallas has done it twice (October 1976-December 1983, November 2008-November 2011) and Seattle has only done it once between November 2015 and September 2018.
Most recent outcome: November 30th, 2023 - the Cowboys outlast the Seahawks 41-35 in a Thursday Night Football shootout. Seattle squandered a 35-27 lead in the fourth quarter and turned the ball over on downs on their three final possessions of the game.
New York Giants
All-time record: the series is tied at 11-11
Longest win streak: the Seahawks won four-straight games October 2011 to October 2017
Most recent outcome: October 6th, 2024 - the Giants gave my father the worst birthday gift imaginable by handing the Seahawks one of the worst losses in recent memory, stealing a game 29-20 at Lumen Field. This would be the last game New York would win in 2024 for an astonishing 10 weeks.
Philadelphia Eagles
All-time record: Seattle leads the series 13-7
Longest win streak: the Seahawks are currently on an eight-game winning streak over the Eagles dating back to December 2011.
Most recent outcome: December 18th, 2023 - the Seahawks saved their season with backup Drew Lock under center on Monday Night Football. Seattle had lost their last four games, and at 6-7 were on the verge of being eliminated entirely from postseason contention. Instead, Drew Lock found then-rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a game-winning touchdown strike and safety Julian Love intercepted Jalen Hurts to seal the 20-17 upset victory.
Washington Commanders
All-time record: Washington lead the series 13-10
Longest win streak: the Commanders have defeated the Seahawks four times in a row twice, from September 1983 to November 1992, and from November 2001 to October 2005.
Most recent outcome: November 12th, 2023 - for the first time in the rivalry, the Seahawks defeated the "other" Washington at Lumen Field during the regular season. Jason Myers nailed the game winning kick from 43-yards out to win 29-26 over the Commanders.

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Getting Major Pay Raise
The new season of Netflix's "America's Sweethearts" reveals a big score for members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad. The second season of the Netflix series "America's Sweethearts," which chronicles the lives of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, reveals a pretty big touchdown for members of the storied squad: They will be receiving a 400% pay increase this coming season. Per the New York Times, this marks the end of a long battle for higher wages that began in 2018 when former cheerleader Erica Wilkins sued the team for unfair pay. In her suit, which was settled out of court in 2019, she stated that cheerleaders were paid approximately $7 per hour with no overtime pay and got a flat rate of $200 per game — less than the team's mascot. The suit read in part: "Plaintiff and other cheerleader employees of [the Dallas Cowboys], who were all female... are/were paid at a rate less than [team] mascot, 'Rowdy,' who, at all times relevant, was male." Related: Mark Cuban and Dallas Cowboys' Micah Parsons on Success Speaking to the New York Times, former cheerleader Jada McLean explained that the cheerleader pay scale is based on experience, and said that she made $15 an hour and $500 for each appearance in 2024. With the new increased wages, she said veteran cheerleaders could now be making more than $75 an hour. She noted that the team does not provide health insurance, but has access to a team doctor and a physical therapist. As many viewers of the top ten-ranked Netflix show know, cheerleading is basically a high-profile side hustle, and many of the squad members hold down full-time day jobs. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad director Kelli Finglass described the changes as "60-plus years long overdue." Offensive line still a Seahawks 2026 NFL draft priority
The Seattle Seahawks are hoping to receive upgraded play from in-house options across their offensive line this season. Despite it being a huge weakness last year, GM John Schneider didn't go crazy in the talent acquisition department. The Seahawks didn't sign a single starting-caliber lineman in free agency, adding swing tackle Josh Jones, and the lone new instant starter will be first-round pick Grey Zabel. Instead of relying on offseason acquisitions, ascending talents like Olu Oluwatimi, Jalen Sundell, Christian Haynes, and Anthony Bradford are receiving opportunities to display improvement. Offensive line coach John Benton is being tasked with helping them get better. It's a bold, risky strategy. Pro Football Focus recently looked ahead to the 2026 NFL draft by highlighting one area every NFL team needs to think about. Unsurprisingly for the Seahawks, that's the offensive line. "Seattle's interior offensive line posted a 52.8 PFF pass-blocking grade in 2024, ranking 29th in the NFL," Trevor Sikkema acknowledged. "The team heavily invested in that area by drafting the versatile Grey Zabel in Round 1 this offseason, but the fact of the matter is that the Seahawks could have, and maybe should have, added more bodies to that group. Sikkema is also hesitant to buy into Haynes' development, or Abe Lucas' health. "Christian Haynes struggled as a rookie, earning just a 48.5 PFF overall grade on limited playing time," Sikkema added. "He needs a big bounce-back season, or else the Seahawks might be using another priority pick on an interior player next offseason. Tackle Abraham Lucas is great when healthy, but he has dealt with chronic knee issues and the team lacks depth behind him. Seattle needs to make more offensive line investments." The offensive line could be a sore-spot for the Seahawks again in 2025.

'Craziest' reversal of fortune puts Mavs on path to Flagg after all the Doncic drama
DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks CEO Rick Welts wasn't thinking even for a second about Cooper Flagg when he started a staff meeting before the draft lottery by saying the club was entering the most important offseason in franchise history. The longtime NBA executive and relatively new leader on the business side of the Mavs was thinking about the lingering fallout of the widely reviled Luka Doncic trade , not the club turning a 1.8% chance into winning the rights to draft the teenaged star from Duke . Dallas is set to make that pick Wednesday night.
