Kat reels in EastEnders as she makes unexpected discovery about Phil

Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) is on hand to try and help Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in EastEnders soon, as she grows concerned about how much he's got on his plate.
Phil has taken it upon himself to be friend Nigel Bates' (Paul Bradley) primary carer. The beloved character has dementia, and often finds he needs Phil's help when he suffers symptoms that leave him confused and disorientated.
In upcoming episodes, Phil finds Nigel wandering around outside with no shoes on. When he returns home, the two friends find chaos in the kitchen after attempting to set up a meal. Phil tries to take control of the situation, but Nigel is adamant he can get a handle on things.
Unfortunately, as Nigel and Phil both go to grab a pan of boiling water, it tips over, leading to Phil sustaining a burn.
A while later, Kat finds Phil nursing his injuring. She realises that something is wrong and pushes him to be honest about Nigel's condition.
The former couple have a heart-to-heart, and it ends with Kat realising that Phil is completely exhausted and in over his head. More Trending

The BBC expert has been open and honest in the past about Clementine's health struggles, despite finding it hard to understand at first. Now that she's in recovery, Clementine wants to raise awareness and support others who are facing the same challenges she's experienced. ‌ Phillip shared his own struggles to comprehend what she was going through. He said: 'A s a dad, it's been very difficult, I've found it very hard to understand. ‌ "I've spent 62 years enjoying eating and it's very hard not to say 'Just eat, it's easy'." He also reflected on the progress his daughter made, admitting she's 'come through this on her own'. But Phillip candidly admitted his family are not out of the woods yet, and there are still tough situations to navigate. He added: 'Christmas a very difficult time of year because people suffering with anorexia get booze and food shoved at them - and that's very hard to deal with." Phillip's daughter first stepped into the public spotlight with her journey back in 2020 when she took to social media to post a comparison image of herself. In one of the pictures, she was at the height of the devastating illness, and in the second recent snap, she looked happier and healthier and working towards healing, as reports Devon Live. ‌ Brave Clementine aimed to empower others with her words, and said: "Never think you can't escape." She then went on to detail her battles with anorexia and bulimia, explaining she thinks the catalyst was the end of a significant relationship. She believes the internal turmoil led to feeling disassociated from her life. She disclosed that in 2011, she made herself vomit 'about eight times' on New Year's Eve, waking up on New Year's Day "full of shame and utter self loathing". And also because I genuinely believe EDs are still very misunderstood and that kills me a bit. EastEnders 'confirms' Bernie's 'exit story' - as dramatic scenes air this week

EastEnders fans were left gutted when it was announced Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) would be leaving the show - and next weeks spoilers have teased a possible exit storyline Last month, it was revealed that Clair Norris would be leaving EastEnders after playing the role of Bernie Taylor for eight years. Now, in spoilers for next week, the soap appears to have teased the star's upcoming exit storyline. Bernie arrived in Walford in 2017 alongside mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and late brother Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters). ‌ However, she's the last one of her family members left on the Square with her mum Karen leaving EastEnders in 2023, shortly followed by the murder of her brother Keanu on Christmas Day. ‌ Lately, fans have noticed a lack of the character on their screens, but spoilers for next week reveal a huge storyline for the star - which could be teasing towards her exit. Clair remained silent on her departure for a couple of weeks, until she attended the British Soap Awards at the end of last month. Taking to her Instagram to post a picture of herself all glammed up in a teal dress on the night, Clair penned: "My last @thebritishsoapawards with my EE family. We [broom emoji] up last night, 8 awards & I couldn't be prouder to be apart of this team! What a way to end this amazing journey, head held high & beaming from ear to ear." Clair was supported by both fans as colleagues in her post, with James Farrar, who plays Zack Hudson writing: "Head held HIGH," along with a number of red heart emojis.
