If you're looking for a dining experience that screams luxury, glamour, and just the right amount of extra, The Ivy Asia at St. Paul's is the place to be.
My friend and I went on Monday (February 3), to sample the menu, and let me tell you - this spot did not disappoint.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was striking.

The glowing green floor, elegant cherry blossom trees, and ambient lighting created a sophisticated yet inviting space.
Service was seamless, from the staff taking our coats at the door to our server Angela making us feel welcome immediately.

We started our experience with the popcorn shrimp and the pork & kimchi gyozas - both packed with flavour and priced between £10-£13.
The shrimp were crispy and light, paired with a gorgeous chilli mayonnaise, while the gyozas had a well-balanced spice and depth of flavour.

For mains, I went all out with the wok-fried lobster and duck fried rice.
The spice level was high, but as a fan of all thing's chilli, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My friend opted for the nigiri sushi selection, and I couldn't resist stealing a bite of her snow crab gunkan.
It was creamy, delicate, and melted in my mouth - absolute sushi perfection.

On the side, we had the chilli noodles and the cucumber, peanut & coriander salad, which was super refreshing.
And because no girls' night is complete without wine, we shared a crisp bottle of Pinot that paired beautifully with everything.

I had the Samurai - a dark chocolate mousse with chocolate brownie, elegantly dusted with golden sparkles.
Rich and decadent, it was the perfect way to end the meal.
My friend chose the Green Lantern, a white chocolate & honeycomb cheesecake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate pearls.
The Ivy Asia is on the pricier side, but the experience justifies the cost.

Every dish was a treat, the service was impeccable, and the whole experience felt like stepping into a high-fashion fantasy.
If you're looking for a night of indulgence, glamour, and unforgettable food, The Ivy Asia is so worth adding to your must-visit list.

'I don't know if she voted...' Queen Camilla enjoyed watching Angela Rippon on Strictly

Queen Camilla loved watching on Angela Rippon on Strictly Come Dancing. Former BBC News journalist Angela, 80, made history by becoming the oldest celebrity to take part in the BBC One Latin and ballroom dancing show in 2023, and Angela's appearance with her 29-year-old professional dance partner Kai Widdrington got the royal seal of approval. Angela - who finished in eighth place on Strictly Come Dancing - told the new issue of Woman's Weekly magazine: "Queen Camilla said we were cool, but I don't know if she voted." The esteemed broadcaster shot to fame in 1975 when she got a permanent newsreader job on the BBC Nine O'Clock News, after covering for the Richard Baker in February of that year. She said: "I could never have imagined that I was entering a vintage period in my career, which quickly led to me becoming a household name. "As far as I was concerned, I was just filling in." Angela - who was named Newsreader of the Year in 1976, 1977 and 1978 - left BBC News in 1981 and had a very brief stint as a presenter on TV-am's Good Morning Britain news programme in 1983. Her varied seven-decade spanning career has also seen her work on BBC Radio 2, be a stand-in newsreader on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast, host a series of Sun, Sea and Bargain Spotting for BBC Two and become a presenter on Cash in the Attic. Rippon is certain she would not be enjoying a "long and rewarding career" if it was not for the BBC giving her a chance in 1975. She admitted: "It was all such a long time ago now. Yet without it, I might still not be enjoying such a long and rewarding career. "It's really flattering that people took me to their hearts all those years ago - and they've never forgotten how my career started." Angela turns 81 on October 12, and she has no plans of retiring. The TV presenter - who spent 15 years fronting the factual BBC One consumer affairs show Rip Off Britain, with the 77-year-old journalist Julia Somerville and the 85-year-old Loose Women panellist Gloria Hunniford - said: "I'm busy, busy, busy - but it beats the alternative. "People don't say to me, 'When are you going to retire?' But why would I stop doing something I love and enjoy while people are still asking me to do it?" Last year, Angela was replaced on Rip Off Britain in 2024 by 56-year-old ex-BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin.

BLERD ALERT! Is A 'White' Black Panther On The Horizon?

TIMOTHY A. CLARY When it comes to Black superheroes, many tend to hold King T'Challa, aka the one and only Black Panther, to the highest of standards — he's right up there with Statik Shock, Blade, John Stewart's Green Lantern and his often-depicted wifey, Storm, just to name a few. It's one of the main reasons why Blerds everywhere have been making quite a ruckus lately in reaction to the release of Marvel Knights: The World To Come #1, a polarizing plot that sees our beloved T'Challa dying on the throne and a whole white son named Ketema stepping up to take his place on the throne. …say what ?! Take a look below at a semi-spoilers description of The World To Come #1 by way of the well-informed duo curating @MastersOfComicBooks: RELATED: BLERD ALERT! Our Favorite Black Girl Nerds In Pop Culture As the official description given by Marvel reads, 'With T'Challa gone, the future of the Marvel 616 Universe will be determined by a final tribal challenge for the Wakandan throne and the mysterious victor who will change Wakanda, and the Marvel Universe, forever.' With Earth-616 being the primary universe that most Marvel comics pass through, the events of Marvel Knights: The World To Come could prove to be permanent. With that said, many are wondering if art will imitate life and result in a white actor filling the role of Black Panther in place of the late Chadwick Boseman, who helped bring the character to the big screen back in 2018. In the five years since his untimely death due to colon cancer, which also led to his exclusion from the 2022 sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , the question has lingered as to whether BP will be recasted (likely), reworked in CGI form (very unlikely) or even retired to the bleachers as a tribute to Boseman (bittersweet). Could the introduction of Ketema be just what Hollywood execs were hoping for in order to get golden boys like Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi or any of the many white counterparts to Michael B. Jordan and Jharrel Jerome a leading role in Wakanda? This brief deep dive by Screen Rant sums things up quite well: 'Having a white man under the Black Panther mask obviously won't sit right with many readers, and it would seem that is exactly Marvel's intention. Even without hints that Ketema's actions cause shockwaves through the future, his heinous actions should be enough to make people uncomfortable. The fact that the character is seemingly a Caucasion son of two Black parents only raises more questions. So the question now becomes, will the arrival of T'Challa's son mean a new king, or a new villain? Time will tell.' via @bardbaker777 2. Can't nobody be happy for a white black panther when yall sat up there and did Halle the way yall did for being a black mermaid … I normally would've said we some hypocrites but then I think about all the times racism was shown when black people were casted for certain roles 😅 via @ChiefMiyKeef via @EmansReviews 4. Alot of these content creators are so LOUD with the white black panther news, but be silent when black led books drop 👀 they didn't say nothing when black lightning dropped, or Earth M, DC Power Company, or when Ultimate Black Panther dropped but they so LOUD now. via @YoANerd via @81aep via @redcoatraccoon via @naMnaSYt via @JeremiahMuyagu via @Orksonlauri via @MugenLord SEE ALSO Black America Web Featured Video CLOSE

Sword attacker denies re-enacting rampage in chat about ‘killing films'

A man accused of murdering a schoolboy during a 20-minute rampage with a Samurai sword has denied re-enacting the violence during a chat about 'killing films' in hospital. Marcus Arduini Monzo, 37, has claimed he has no memory of killing Daniel Anjorin, 14, and attacking five other people in Hainault, east London, last April 30 while allegedly under the influence of cannabis. Afterwards, he likened events to Hollywood film The Hunger Games and claimed to have an alternative personality of a 'professional assassin', the court has heard. Under cross-examination on Monday, the defendant denied being a fan of horror films, saying he liked 'Lego' movies and had not even seen all of The Hunger Games franchise. Monzo was asked about a conversation he had with a member of staff at Broadmoor secure psychiatric hospital to where he was transferred after his arrest. Prosecutor Tom Little KC said: 'What about other films about killing? Can you remember shortly after you were transferred to Broadmoor a member of staff indicated that they liked horror films and as a result you became animated and you started undertaking a stabbing motion with your arms?' Monzo replied: 'I don't like horror movies at all. I like action movies with killing in them.' Mr Little continued: 'You asked the member of staff if they liked 'killing movies'. 'Your stabbing motion is exactly what you do to at least one of the individuals on April 30.' Monzo replied: 'I don't know.' The prosecutor asked: 'Do you remember attacking anybody on April 30?' Monzo replied: 'I don't remember anything.' Mr Little also quizzed the defendant about a video in which Monzo showed off a sword and described it as 'frigging sexy' before the attacks. The prosecutor said: 'Did you think that the sword that you used on April 30 was 'frigging sexy'?' Monzo told jurors: 'I was trying to be funny. If I had watched it back I would not have liked it and deleted it.' Earlier, the defendant told jurors he believed the earth was flat and the 9/11 terrorist attack in the United States was 'probably' a conspiracy. He told jurors his views were largely formed after he visited India and started consuming hallucinogenic tea ayahuasca and cannabis. Monzo denies Daniel's murder and the attempted murders of Donato Iwule, Sindy Arias, Henry De Los Rios Polania and Pc Yasmin Mechem-Whitfield, as well as wounding Inspector Molloy Campbell with intent. He also denies aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article relating to a kitchen knife. Monzo admits having two swords. The Old Bailey trial continues.
