Fifty two year old Jonathan, who portrayed the bleach-blond nurse Sam Colloby in the late 90s, first graced our screens in Casualty in 1996 after making his screen debut in the Chemical Brothers' 1995 single Life Is Sweet. His character Sam quickly became one of the most beloved figures on the show.

As an openly gay character, Sam was involved in numerous personal and work-related dramas tied to his sexuality, including discovering that a female car crash victim was secretly dating his boyfriend, reports OK!.
But with Sam around, life was never dull; he helped uncover a colleague's rape, fell from a hospital balcony, and saved a young girl's life by performing an emergency tracheotomy. Jonathan portrayed Sam for four seasons of Casualty before his character decided to pursue a career outside of nursing in 1999.
Other stars of Casualty, such as the legendary Derek Thompson (Charlie Fairhead), have had much longer runs on the show, with Derek only recently retiring after a remarkable 37 years.
In reality, Jonathan took on the role of PC Steve Traynor in ITV's Merseybeat, appearing in 30 episodes. He then transitioned to Heartbeat, a series set in 1960s Yorkshire, where he portrayed Sergeant Rob Walker and even composed the show's theme tune.

His character was always at the heart of the drama, having an affair with Helen Trent, whom he later wed. Rob was understandably devastated when Helen tragically died in an explosion.
In 2007, Jonathan chose to leave the show (later replaced by Joe McFadden), and went on to appear in various TV programmes including the American crime drama NCIS and BBC drama series In The Club, as well as films such as Diana – alongside Naomi Watts, who portrayed the late Princess of Wales – and The Somnambulists.

Jonathan tied the knot with actress Shelley Conn – known for her role as Lady Mary Sharma in Netflix's Bridgerton – in 2011, and they have a son together.
Since then, life has been bustling for him, with other roles including starring in The Five, a ten-part drama for Sky 1, written by American crime writer Harlan Coben, and Death In Paradise, acting alongside his real-life wife. Sporting a ginger-brown goatee and brown hair, he looks completely different from his days as Sam Colloby, a transformation not unlike that of former Heartbeat co-star Nick Berry.
One of his most recent TV dramas is Irvine Welsh's Crime, where he starred as Mark McKendrick alongside Dougray Scott and Angela Griffin. And he has also popped up in Outlander, the historical TV drama series, as Rev Peleg Woodsworth

Tyra has opened her SMiZE & DREAM parlour in Sydney's Darling Harbour this month and has been promoting her new business. She also told the Daily Mail Australia how much she is loving her new life Down Under. She said: "I was coming for about a year and a half and just fell in love with it,' she said. 'And I said, should we make this move? And here we are. "I love Darling Harbour because of this park. Tumbalong Park is magical... I have friends that live an hour and a half away and on the weekends they drive here just to go to the water and put their feet in with the kids. ‌ "There's a playground for older kids, one for younger kids, Darling Square nearby, the harbour – it just felt natural." She went on to explain she named one of her new ice cream flavours after herself. Describing the salted sweet cream, butter-roasted pecans and savoury caramel butter flavour, she gushed: "My favourite flavour is called Tyra's Favourite – very creative, isn't it? ... It's not your traditional ice cream taste – it has this surprising, rich sensation in the mouth." ‌ Last year, Tyra opened up about her modelling past and future as she prepared to return to the catwalk for a Victoria's Secret show. In an empowering message she said: "50-year-old women, insecure women - I just felt like there was more, and I look at the playback and I'm like, boom, boom, boom. "I was stomping because I felt like I was a vessel more so than it's just all about me. It was different." She also discussed her thoughts on the way her body has changed over the years, saying: "Also what was different is my boobies were like 10 times bigger because I was about 40-50 pounds (18-22 kg) heavier on this runway than when I retired. ITV Coronation Street star died broke and on benefits despite 22-year soap stint

Peter Adamson was a very well known face to ITV viewers for many years but died penniless and on benefits. A Coronation Street actor died penniless and on benefits despite starring on the ITV show for two decades, according to reports. Peter Adamson was known to fans of the long-running ITV soap as Len Fairclough. He first appeared on Coronation Street in 1961 and would go on to remain there until 1983, a 22-year stint, racking up 1,730 episodes. Peter spent his final years as a 'virtual recluse' after his acting career ended in the 80s. ‌ When he passed away at the age of 72 at his home in Bury, he was close to the breadline. Coronation Street was Peter's last acting job as he was then accused of indecently assaulting two eight-year-old girls at Haslingden Baths, where he was working as a part-time swimming instructor. ‌ He was acquitted of the charges at Burnley Crown Court but then went on to sell a number of 'inside stories' to the press in a bid to clear his £120k legal bill, reports the Mirror. He would claim that during one, while he was drunk, he was persuaded to change his story. He was alleged to have said to one journalist: "I am totally guilty of everything the police said... But what I hope you will print – there was no sexual intent." After he was reinterviewed by police over the 'confession', which Adamson denied, no further action was taken when the reporter in question said he had "mislaid" the tapes. However, Adamson was instantly axed by Corrie bosses, losing his £10,000 a year salary, around £190,000 in today's money. ‌ Len Fairclough was killed in a motorway accident after apparently visiting a mistress to ensure no viewer sympathy. Adamson went to Canada to start a new life but came back to the UK shortly after and was declared bankrupt in 1991. With no cash coming in, he lived in a rented flat and relied on benefits as he was unable to find work. He did have some roles on radio and in a West End production of Dial M for Murder, as well as a stint in Vanburgh's The Relapse in 1988. When he died penniless, it wasn't the first time he had been facing financial issues, as was revealed in legal documents during his trial. ‌ The actor, who was reported to be a "hellraiser" and a heavy drinker throughout his working life, owed thousands to the Inland Revenue by the late 1960s. He'd also been suspended from Coronation Street in 1969 due to his drinking. Adamson's wife Jean died soon after his court appearance. The actor left behind two sons when he passed away in 2002. Golden Girls actress Lynn Hamilton dies aged 95

American also starred in sitcom Sanford and Son and the The Waltons Actress Lynn Hamilton, best known for her roles in Sanford and Son, The Golden Girls and the The Waltons has died aged 95. Her former manager and publicist, Rev. Calvin Carson, confirmed she died peacefully on Thursday of natural causes in her Chicago home. ‌ In a statement, he said: 'Without profound gratitude and admiration, we celebrate the extraordinary life of iconic actress Alzenia 'Lynn' Hamilton-Jenkins, whose remarkable legacy continues to uplift and inspire. ‌ 'Her illustrious career, spanning over five decades, has left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment, motivating audiences across the globe through her work as a model, stage, film and television actress.' The post said that her 'captivating performances' continue to 'inspire new generations'. The statement added that Lynn was the recipient of the NAACP Award. Lynn starred as Verdie Foster in the Waltons, with her having appeared on the CBS show from 1973 to 1981. The character becomes friends with the titular family and is said to have featured in more than a dozen episodes. The Mirror reports that she is also credited with playing Trudy in an episode of the Golden Girls in 1988. Trudy was introduced as the aunt of Lorraine Wagner (Rosalind Cash), who married Michael Zbornak (Scott Jacoby), the son of Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur). ‌ She also appeared in numerous other shows over the course of her career. Her credits include playing cousin Georgia Anderson in Roots: The Next Generation in 1979 and Judge P. Fulton in the Practice from 1997 to 2002. Lynn is said to have also worked alongside her late husband Frank S. Jenkins, who died aged 89 in 2014, over the years. ‌ She had married the poet and playwright in 1964. Their partnership was referred to as a 'shining example of creativity, love and dedication' in the statement released this weekened. Tributes were paid to Lynn on social media. One person wrote on X: 'Oh no, what a loss. She was wonderful in everything she did. Rest in peace, Lynn Hamilton.' Another said: 'Lynn Hamilton brought dignity and grace to her memorable performances. Rest in Peace.'
