EastEnders hints at romance for George with Walford local - and it's not Cindy
George Knight (Colin Salmon) makes a new ally in EastEnders next week – could he already be moving on from wife Elaine (Harriet Thorpe)?
Earlier this month, she was left furious after discovering her husband spent Christmas evening in the company of his ex-wife Sabrina.
Her fury was intensified when he revealed that she'd tried to kiss him, and even more so when he turned to his other ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), for a shoulder to cry on.
Elaine contacted old mate Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton) for a pep talk. Having taken his words to heart, she decided to sleep with a man she'd just met named Stephen.
Guilt-ridden, she couldn't keep quiet any longer and came clean to George. His attempts at making amends and apologising fell flat, as she wasn't willing to take half of the blame.
Since then, Elaine has hit self destruct mode, allowing daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) to run the pub single-handedly and splashing the cash on bottomless prosecco for her mates.
To make matters worse, she handed over 5k to Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) to go on a singles cruise.
In upcoming scenes, Linda is dismayed when Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) asks if she can host fiancé Patrick Trueman's (Rudolph Walker) 85th birthday party in the pub.
She wonders whether she can manage, but Elaine ultimately overrules her doubts.
With Linda left to hold the fort again, George can see she's struggling and jumps behind the bar to help out.
Elaine is furious to see him getting into the swing of things and lashes out, therefore ruining any chance of them ever being civil again. Little does she realise, he's about to fight back.

All five episodes of 'chilling' Netflix top 10 crime thriller streaming now
Netflix's new thriller Baby Farm has taken the streamer by storm, debuting at number six in the UK's top 10 TV shows. The five-episode Nollywood drama was recently added to the streaming platform globally. It follows The Evans Foundation, run by expatriate Dr. Oliver Evans and his devoted wife, Sister Barb, which is an organisation claiming to 'help the community'. The synopsis continues: 'But beneath their benevolent appearances lies a sinister operation that exploits women for profit,' as the TV show title indicates with its disturbing connotations. The Nigerian crime drama, starring Rita Dominic and Joseph Benjamin, focuses on the story of a pregnant Adanna (Onyinye Odokoro) who is saved from the streets of Lagos by the charitable organisation but soon realises that everything is not as it seems. Black Film Wire described the show – which some have compared to shows like The Handmaid's Tale – as a 'five-episode Nigerian crime thriller that doesn't just rattle your nerves, it leaves them in a puddle on the floor.' 'The series draws chilling parallels to real-life horrors, grounded by a powerful performance from Onyinye Odokoro as Adanna, a woman pushed to the edge, yet never backing down. 'But it's Genoveva Umeh that left me cold. Her portrayal of Ebun isn't just haunting—it's the kind of performance that burrows under your skin and refuses to leave: layered, grounded, and absolutely haunting,' the publication added. 'I really enjoyed every minute of Baby Farm' X user oluwabanke said. 'This show is great give us more like this,' plaintainchoiice added. Although you'll have to decide for yourself whether this show keeps you 'captivated' with some reviews calling it 'unoriginal' and 'too restrained'. Executive producer Mo Abudu, who is also the boss of the company EbonyLife TV that created the show in collaboration with Netflix, explained the significance of the show. More Trending Per Deadline, he said: 'This series is more than just a thriller – it's a powerful story rooted in real-life issues told through the lense of bold, cinematic African storytelling. 'With breathtaking visuals, a gripping narrative and an outstanding cast and crew, Baby Farm will keep audiences on the edge of their seats while sparking vital conversations. We can't wait for the world to experience it.' Heidi Ulys, supervising producer, added: ' Baby Farm is our darkest [show] yet. It's a gripping, cinematic journey into a world few dare to explore. Yet, within the shadows, there is light – because storytelling has the power to reveal, to challenge, and to inspire change Baby Farm is available to stream on Netflix now. Got a story? Max Branning's EastEnders 'return storyline sealed' following Oscar's comeback
Since the news of Oscar Branning's return to EastEnders broke - fans are certain his dad Max won't be far behind as they think they've 'worked out' what will bring him back EastEnders fans were overjoyed with the news of another classic return yesterday, as it was confirmed Oscar Branning would be making his return to Walford. The news came following rumours that Oscar's dad Max Branning (Jake Wood) would also be making a return to EastEnders. Now, with the confirmation of Oscar's return, fans think they've worked out Max's return storyline, should the rumours be true. Oscar was last seen in the soap in 2017 when he made a brief visit to Max on Father's Day. The official announcement reads: "However, just why he is returning and where he's been is set to be revealed when Lauren receives a mysterious call. Newcomer Pierre Moullier will play Oscar, who is now 17, as he turns up and turns Lauren's life upside down." Max left Walford in 2021, months before the birth of his and Linda Carter's daughter Annie. As he left Walford before Linda discovered she was pregnant, she chose to keep Annie's paternity a secret, pretending she was Mick's. Max's brother Jack found out the truth, but decided to keep it a secret from him, as did Lauren. However, fans now think Oscar will be the one to deliver the truth to Max, predicting he'll return to see his biological daughter. Taking to Reddit after Oscar's return announcement, one fan penned: "What if when Lauren tells Oscar about Annie then Oscar is the one who tells Max by calling him, causing Max to come back?" suggested one fan, as another agreed: "That's exactly what I was thinking!" Another fan wrote: "Will he find out about Annie?" as another responded: "Most probably." Speaking about Oscar's return to the soap, new Executive Producer Ben Wadey said: 'I'm very excited to bring Oscar Branning back to Walford and introduce viewers to him now that he's all grown up. "Oscar is very much a Branning which means there's going to be plenty of drama in store this summer. We're delighted to welcome Pierre as he takes on the role and can't wait for viewers to see him bring Oscar to life.' Adding, actor Pierre said: 'It's pretty surreal to join EastEnders - it keeps hitting me that I'm actually on Albert Square! When I found out I was joining the Brannings, it was so exciting as they are such an iconic family, and I love that there are so many skeletons in the closet. "Oscar is so much fun to play, and the audience should be prepared for the unexpected as he's a complex guy!'
