Its two series, with Gervais as paper company branch boss David Brent, carry a 'G' rating to indicate adult humour. But some episodes also carry the additional warning. In the first series, debut episode Downsize — first aired in July 2001 — and the sixth episode Judgement are hit with the alert. And from series two, the first, third and fifth — Merger, Party and Charity — also carry the warnings. The Office won a clutch of awards in its time — most notably scooping a Golden Globe in 2004 for Best Television Series, the first British comedy to win. EastEnders to air double bills as soap faces another major schedule shake-up

EastEnders fans have dealt with a number of schedule changes over the past few weeks - and things are about to change once again - with fans set for double bills of the BBC soap It's been a dramatic few weeks in EastEnders with shock returns, a new executive producer, and huge schedule changes. However, it looks like things aren't set to calm down anytime soon. Last week, for Kat and Alfie's wedding, the soap moved it's scheduling from Tuesday - Friday due to the football. This Monday, fans were unable to sit down and watch EastEnders with their morning cuppa. The soap delayed it's usual 6am iPlayer release for Ben Wadey's first episode - in which Zoe Slater made her shock return. ‌ Fans will be happy to know that the soap will resume to it's normal Monday - Thursday schedule next week, with episodes dropping at 6am on iPlayer. However, the week after that will see a huge schedule shakeup due to Wimbledon coverage. ‌ For the first time in a while, the soap will air a double bill on Monday June 30 and Tuesday July 1, meaning fans will get their two hour fix of EastEnders over two days. On Monday June 30, the BBC soap will begin at the earlier time of 7pm, airing back to back episodes. The second episode of the day will air straight after, meaning things will wrap up at 8pm. It will be the exact same schedule on Tuesday (July 1) with the soap airing a double bill from 7pm - 8pm. That's not the only major change though, as the soap will be airing on BBC Two for those two days as BBC One will be airing coverage from the first two days of Wimbledon. The soap will be off air on Wednesday and Thursday - with the next episodes airing the following week. ‌ Spoilers have revealed a huge week before the double bills, with the Kat and Alfie drama continuing. Kat continues to worry about how things are between them and she soon confides in someone about their lack of communication. Elsewhere, she soon makes an alarming discovery about her ex Phil Mitchell. Phil's worried about Nigel deteriorating amid his dementia diagnosis, and some of his actions next week leave Phil struggling. He then ends up injured when he and Nigel grapple over a pan of boiling water, as Kat suggests he gets some extra support to care for Nigel. She's not the only one, as ex-Denise also tells him he needs to look after himself. Phil isn't the only one sparking concern however, as Elaine Peacock is also sparking concern as she struggles after her split from George Knight.

Ruth Jones TV return confirmed after Gavin and Stacey with 'irresistible' period

Ruth Jones has confirmed her next TV role after breaking records with the final ever Gavin and Stacey episode last Christmas. The 58-year-old teamed back up with James Corden to pen a festive special, which became the UK's most-watched scripted show since records began in 2002. Fresh from that ratings bonanza, Jones is set to return to the small screen in a wildly different role, amid news of her separation from her husband TV producer David Peet. Jones has now signed on to the upcoming adaptation of a Pride and Prejudice spin-off novel for the BBC, where she will play the Bennet matriarch alongside Richard E Grant as Mr Bennet. Over 10 episodes, The Other Bennet Sister will delve into what became of Mary Bennet, played by Call the Midwife's Ella Bruccoleri, the bookish sister who has been rendered as an uptight grump in most Jane Austen adaptations. Based on Janice Hadlow's novel of the same name, filming for the show is currently underway in Wales. The BBC synopsis of the show reads: 'The Gardiners take Mary under their wing as governess to their three children – Marianne, George, and Rebecca – introducing her to an exciting new social world that includes Mr Hayward, Mr Ryder, and Ann Baxter.' Game of Thrones star Indira Varma has already been spotted filming scenes as Mary's aunt Mrs Gardiner, alongside Richard Coyle who will play her husband. Director of BBC Drama Lindsay Salt promised the show will be an 'irresistible treat' when it arrives on the BBC and iPlayer next year. 'It's a joy to see cameras rolling on our vibrant, witty and clever new take on Jane Austen's beloved world, said Salt in a statement. Executive producer Jane Tranter, who spearheaded the Doctor Who modern reboot at production studio Bad Wolf, said they have been working on The Other Bennet Sister behind the scenes for many years. More Trending Tranter said in a statement: 'Our actors had a lot to live up to – and I can honestly say that this is the ensemble cast of our dreams. 'Each one brings something new and exciting to the world of Austen. And all of us at Bad Wolf are delighted to be making a drama that brings such joy.' Another EastEnders exit in early BBC iPlayer streaming release amid Zoe drama

This article contains spoilers for tonight's episode of EastEnders, which airs on BBC One at 7.30pm or can be streamed now on iPlayer. Following on from Zoe Slater's (Michelle Ryan) disappearance, the hunt to track her down has begun. The legendary character made a brief return at the beginning of the week, and it became immediately clear that she had fallen on hard times. She told cousin Stacey (Lacey Turner) and stepfather Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) that she was on the run from Spanish loansharks, but it later transpired that she had been sending threatening messages to herself. Alfie was desperate for her to reconnect with her mum Kat (Jessie Wallace) – and the two women almost came face to face – before she scarpered out of a window. In a later phone call to Stace', she revealed that she had done something 'so bad' that would taint her family's view of her, and for that reason she was having to flee. In today's episode, which can be streamed now, Kat was suspicious of Alfie, who seemed increasingly distracted by some information she isn't privy to. They were meant to be making their marriage official at the registry office, but he rushed off to see Stacey again. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video She revealed that Zoe had taken her credit card and booked a flight to Barcelona, and Alfie decided that they should refrain from cancelling the account and track her movements. That way, they'd be able to find her easier. When he returned back to Walford, Alfie explained to Kat that his brother Spencer (Christopher Parker) is in a bad way, and as a result, he'd have to spend some time in Australia. She couldn't help but feel abandoned, and their sons Tommy (Sonny Kendall), Bert and Ernie, were upset that he was breaking up their family dynamic. After drowning her sorrows in The Vic, and some wise words from unlikely source Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), Kat returned home and told Alfie that she gave him his blessing to leave. She then opened up about wanting to reconnect with Zoe, wishing that she was in her life – a statement which left Alfie in a state of surprise and considering whether to come clean. More Trending He told his wife that he was going to be the 'good bloke' that she needed, and give her everything she wants in life. She was completely oblivious that this meant bringing Zoe to Albert Square. After rushing off to their appointment to officiate their wedding, she packed his bags and sent him on his way. As he boarded the taxi, she asked him to bring home the best present ever – and he promised he would. View More » Will Kat realise that Alfie isn't in Australia with Spencer?
