Heather Rae El Moussa Reveals Why She Wishes She & Husband Started Therapy Before They Got Married

Yahoo07-05-2025

HGTV star Heather Rae El Moussa is opening up about her therapy journey with her husband, Tarek El Moussa.
While speaking to Us Weekly in a May 7 interview, Heather noted she and her husband, whom she wed in 2021, started to go to couples therapy in late 2024. She told the publication she would have preferred if she and Tarek had begun seeing a therapist prior to getting married. She explained that she believes seeking therapy before their wedding could have helped them 'just to learn to communicate through things.'
'I think that it can be a really positive thing for an individual and as a couple, and communication is key in any relationship, in a marriage and a best friend and parents," said Heather during the Us Weekly interview.
She also said she thinks "it's natural" for married couples to face certain challenges.
"Everyone goes through ups and downs and is learning how to work through them as best friends, as a couple, and navigating through certain hardships — or not hardships, just communication," said Heather to Us Weekly.
Heather shared that she and her husband were going to couples therapy in a March 2025 episode of the Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad podcast, as reported by E! News. She said she and Tarek have disagreed about having another child. The couple has a 2-year-old son named Tristan. Tarek and his ex-wife, Christina Haack, also have two children, Taylor and Brayden.
"We're very different on what we want with our future, which is hard because you know you're in love with someone and you have this strong marriage, but then you want very different things. So, we are in therapy talking through things," said Heather on the podcast episode.
While speaking to Us Weekly in May 2025, Heather clarified that possibly having more children is not the only topic she and her husband speak about in therapy.
Tarek spoke about going to couples therapy in an April 2025 interview on Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. According to Tarek, he and Heather were inspired to go to a therapist after seeing their friends' successful marriage. He also said he was "99 percent" sure he would not have any more children, even though his wife would like to give Tristan a younger sibling.
"I've been a dad a very long time, since I was in my 20s. I'm turning 44 this year. I'm starting to get a little bit older. And I'm very busy with work," said Tarek during the April 2025 interview.

Pamela Anderson Says This One Place Is ‘Where Everything Came Back Together for Me' After Private Struggles

Pamela Anderson believes her Vancouver Island garden is like a "metaphor" for her life The Last Showgirl star's garden is now in its seventh season, currently harvesting beets, radishes and lettuce The garden was previously featured in HGTV Canada's series Pamela's Garden of EdenAccording to Pamela Anderson, her life is a lot like her Vancouver Island garden. 'The garden is such a metaphor: You can replant your garden every year, rotate your crops. I started learning a lot about it and thought, this is how I want my life to be,' the author and actress, 57, tells Architectural Digest. In 2020, The Last Showgirl star moved back to her family's long-held plot on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Since then, Anderson has revealed that leaving Hollywood for her hometown was to help her 'Remember who I was.' In the process, she's discovered a passion for nature.'It started when I realized you could just eat blackberries off a bush or a crabapple in a tree. It was one of those aha moments, that food comes from the ground, comes from the earth,' the mother of two says. 'I realized, oh, I can have my own garden. When I moved home to restart, I instantly thought, I'm going to make an incredible garden.' The property, known as Arcady, has helped her move through an often complicated life: '[It's] where everything came back together for me. This whole new chapter? It started in the garden.' Now in its seventh season, Anderson's 'Provençal' garden grows everything from wildflowers to herbs and vegetables. Currently, her team is harvesting beets, radishes and lettuces while the Baywatch star is out on the road. But some of her favorite things to grow include roses and heirloom tomatoes. 'I love my Yves Piaget roses. I also harvest rose hips and make face oils and all sorts of beauty treatments out of them,' Anderson says. 'And I love my heirloom tomatoes — I have that vegan cookbook I put out last year. A great heirloom tomato salad—that's the perfect food.' But The Naked Gun actress isn't the only one who enjoys the garden's produce: 'We get to feed a lot of food banks, soup kitchens, churches, neighbors, and family and friends.'The Vancouver garden is far from traditional. Anderson described it as 'very volcanic,' like 'an interesting vortex.' Even her gardener says 'I don't know what's going on in this garden, but it's so happy.' 'There's just something about it — getting your hands dirty, even being barefoot in the garden — something about it connects me back to who I am,' she describes. 'That's where I found myself again, so it's very special.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. This is not the first time Anderson's garden has been in the public eye. The actress is no stranger to posting garden updates on her Instagram. The grounds were also featured in Pamela's Garden of Eden, a series which followed the star as she restored her family's Canadian property. However, Anderson revealed exclusively to PEOPLE that she felt 'exploited' while filming the first season. 'The first season, I was a bit of a mess,' Anderson said in November 2023. 'It was not my favorite time of life. I was in survival mode while writing my memoir [Love, Pamela], the documentary [Pamela: A Love Story] was being made, and I was an open wound when it was being shot. I just wasn't that happy with it.' "The second season is about redemption, authenticity, truth and self acceptance," she added. "I'm taking my power back, instead of giving it up. I took control of the show and figured out a way to keep to my vision, and turn it into a positive experience. I kept it real." Read the original article on People

Beloved Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan dead aged 76

Beloved Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan has died aged 76. The star's body was discovered days after her death in her apartment, with authorities confirming she was found in a state of advanced decomposition in her apartment in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi. It emerged on Saturday (21.06.25) local police had said the veteran actress had died at least a week earlier, with neighbours alerting her family only after detecting a strong odour from the residence. Tributes have poured in for the star, with actor Adnan Siddiqui saying in a statement: 'She was never loud, never needing to prove anything – her craft did all the talking. 'Her kindness, her elegance, her calm strength, all of it taught me so much, even when she wasn't trying to.' Ayesha's body was discovered on the night of 19 June, according to a spokesperson for the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police, but news of her passing is only now coming to light. The actress had been living alone for many years, having largely stepped away from the entertainment industry. Her children, police said, did not live nearby. Dr Summaiya Syed, a police surgeon at Jinnah Hospital, confirmed to local media that a post-mortem examination would not proceed until her son arrived. Preliminary assessments suggested Ayesha was in the bathroom when she died. Police have begun questioning neighbours and family members as part of their investigation. Ayesha was a celebrated figure in Pakistani television and film, known for her performances in acclaimed drama serials such as Akhri Chattan, Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord, Dehleez, Bol Meri Machli and Ek Aur Aasman. She also starred in Soteli Maamta, her most recent screen appearance, which aired on Hum TV in 2020. The actress was the elder sister of late TV star Khalida Riyasat. A versatile performer, Ayesha appeared in both comedic and dramatic roles and was frequently cast alongside actors Qazi Wajid and Talat Hussain. Her long-standing collaboration with these actors made her part of one of PTV's most loved on-screen ensembles. Tributes have poured in from across the entertainment industry. Hum TV, with whom Ayesha frequently worked, issued a statement saying: 'May her soul rest in peace. Our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.' Adnan Siddiqui, 54, remembered his first encounter with Ayesha during the filming of Uroosa. 'She was my on-screen mother but brought a compassion reminiscent of a maternal figure,' he said in a post on Instagram – adding: 'She was an atmosphere. And her absence will be deeply felt.' Actor Khaled Anam paid tribute to the actress's prolific career by posting a photo of her face and writing: 'With profound sadness, we share the news of legendary Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan passing away this June 2025. 'For decades, she graced our screens with iconic roles in Afshan, Aroosa, Family 93, Mehndi, Naqab Zan, Bharosa Pyar Tera, Bisaat e Dil.'
