Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson to ‘say goodbye to the past' in docuseries

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson will feature in a new docuseries where she will 'really open up and say goodbye to the past', Prime Video has announced.
The six-part series, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, will also follow the star through her high-risk pregnancy in the run-up to the premature birth of her twins, born this month.
Nelson, 33, is best known for being a former member of the pop group Little Mix, which rose to fame after winning X Factor in 2011.
After nearly a decade together, with chart-topping singles including their winning song Cannonball, Shout Out To My Ex and Wings, the singer decided to leave the group in December 2020.
The docuseries will take a closer look into her decision to leave Little Mix, her struggle with mental health and fame, as well as the journey of motherhood.
Nelson said: 'Letting the cameras in wasn't an easy decision for us as it's such a deeply personal time, but I knew I wanted to tell my story in my own words.
'We opened the doors fully and I'm really looking forward to letting you all in as I navigate my way to becoming a first time mum to our beautiful baby girls Ocean and Story.
'I'll be honest, it's not been easy as it's been such a high-risk pregnancy, so you'll see all the highs and lows and rollercoaster of emotions we have been going through.
'I hope you will all join me on this journey as I really open up and say goodbye to the past and enter this new chapter in my life. I hope you love it as much as we do.'
Nelson announced her pregnancy with her partner, musical artist Zion Foster, in January and has documented her complications on her social media including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition which has been described by the NHS as an abnormality of the placenta.
She gave birth to the two twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, on May 15 saying in an Instagram caption: 'Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days.'
'It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We've never felt more in love.'
After leaving the girl group, Nelson released two songs as a solo artist, Boyz, which featured US rapper Nicki Minaj in 2021 and in 2023 released the single Bad Thing.
Prime Video UK's Hannah Blyth said: 'The series will offer an intimate look at Jesy's journey — a powerful account that's never been told before – and we are extremely grateful to Jesy for opening up her life to the cameras during such a pivotal and impactful year for her, as she embraces new motherhood and reflects on her experiences beyond the headlines.
'We're confident that our Prime Video audience will be deeply moved by her honesty and strength as she finds new clarity and speaks her truth in this next chapter of her life.'

Perrie Edwards puts on a rare loved-up display with footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as they enjoy a romantic getaway abroad

Perrie Edwards put on a rare loved-up display with her footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as they enjoyed a romantic getaway abroad. The singer, 31, and the professional footballer, both 31, announced their engagement in April 2022 after going public with their relationship in 2017. And sharing an album of fun snaps to Instagram on Friday, the star looked smitten as they acted playful with one anther while at the dinner table with their son Axel, three. In the pictures Perrie, looked incredible in an emerald halterneck dress which featured a ruched design around the chest. Meanwhile Alex cut a more casual display as he stepped out in a white T-shirt and black trousers. In other snaps, the couple continued to put on a romantic display as Perrie was seen laughing the day away in the sun. Alongside her holiday snaps, she penned: 'Holibobs'. Her trip comes after how she told Alex that she loved him for the first time early in their romance. Appearing on the Capital Evening show with Jimmy Hill, the former Little Mix star revealed how she stumbled over the romantic admission. She said: 'In my real life I can never say exactly what I mean... but I feel like in my music it's different. 'I remember the first time I told Alex I loved him, I was on a night out with the [Little Mix] girls and they were gearing me up - and for some reason I had a pan, right? 'I had a frying pan because Alex told me he liked pancakes so I went out of my way to buy a pan, but we had promo. 'So I'm on a night out, with a frickin' frying pan thinking, 'I'm gonna make his dreams come true, I'm gonna make him pancakes in the morning.' The singer went on: 'I remember saying to the girls, 'I think I love him... but I think he loves me too' and the girls were like, "Then just tell him". 'They geared me up within an inch of life and I was raring to go.' But when it came to the big moment, the singer admitted that she was 'speechless'. She continued: 'I couldn't find the words, I couldn't articulate myself, I was like panicking... my heartbeat was in my head. And I just went, "I think I'm falling in love with you", so aggressively.' After managing to get her words out, she revealed that Alex said he was in love with her too. Perrie released her new single titled You Go Your Way last year. The pair, who now share three-year-old son Axel, matched on celebrity dating app Raya in November 2014 but went on only a couple of dates before Perrie had to embark on a three-month US tour with Little Mix and Ariana Grande. Due to go away on tour for several months, and worried about putting pressure on a very new relationship, Perrie suggested to her now fiancé that they should pause their budding romance and go their separate ways. The song sums up the moment in a relationship where you need to be prepared to let someone go and live their life in the hope that the will one day return. She explained: 'I told Alex, you go your way and I'll go mine and if it's meant to be we'll find each other again when I am back. 'He wasn't happy this idea and made our relationship official there and then! Fast forward eight years and we are very happy, engaged and have our beautiful son. 'I truly believe if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours. If not it was never meant to be.'

Lucy Spraggan reveals she can only speak to Simon Cowell via his partner Lauren Silverman for an unusual reason despite their close bond

Lucy Spraggan has revealed she can only speak to Simon Cowell through his partner Lauren Silverman despite their close bond. The singer, 33, and the music mogul, 65, have developed a good friendship over the years with Simon even walking Lucy down the aisle at her wedding to Emilia Smith. But contacting Simon doesn't come easy as the former X Factor star admitted he doesn't have his own mobile phone. Speaking to The Sun, she said: 'I speak to Lauren all the time. But Simon hasn't got a phone so I speak to him when she's on the phone!' However, Lucy and her wife have stayed with Simon and Lauren in their luxurious homes in LA and the Cotswolds on several occasions and they've even gone on holiday to Barbados together. Lucy recalled: 'He read a poem at our ceremony, which was cute. And he said to me, 'I love seeing you this happy'. It appears Simon's son Eric is taking after his father in the music department as Lucy told how the 11-year-old gave her advice on her new album Other Sides Of The Moon which was released on Friday. She said: 'Eric actually gave me advice for the drums for this album. He's like a mini Simon. He's very funny. He's very, very smart and he knows exactly what he wants that kid.' The singer didn't meet Simon while she was taking part in The X Factor in 2012 because he wasn't a judge on her series. The pair didn't become friends until years later in 2021 after Simon reached out to her under less than happy circumstances. In 2023, Lucy revealed that during her time on The X Factor, she was raped by a porter in the hotel room where she was staying after partying with Rylan Clark. At the time, when she quit the show, it was said to be down to illness. Revealing the assault for the first time in her autobiography, Process, she explained the illness was the strong side effects of PEP medication - a drug given to her by doctors which can prevent someone contracting HIV. On why she decided to reveal the truth 11 years on, Lucy confessed: 'It was scary for sure, it was terrifying, but I knew that if I put it out there - everything - there was absolutely nothing I have to hide from. 'People picked up on that and they said "thank you for talking about this thing, or that thing, because it made me feel really full of shame, and I haven't got any shame about anything". 'And I think that's a nice place to be.' Simon later reached out and apologised for how she was treated on the ITV show, with Lucy then admitting: 'His apology healed a part of my being that I didn't know needed healing.' Asked how it felt receiving the apology, she mused: 'I think whether forgiveness is easy or not depends on the person. 'It's a lot easier to forgive somebody when they apologise, and that's something that's really big for me. I do a lot of work on forgiveness in general. 'They say like hating people is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. 'Truly in my life right now, there is nobody that I don't forgive and there's nobody that I don't wish, peace and health for in this world.' Lucy, who was previously married to Georgina Gordon before their split in 2019, told how she and Emilia have no plans to have children. Married life has inspired her music, witt the title of her latest album inspired by her love story. Discussing her relationship with her wife, she recently told MailOnline: 'We'd been friends for like 10 years. Then at the same time we looked at each other and thought "I'm in love with you." 'Then I wrote the song Other Sides Of The Moon and it's about looking at the same moon. 'We'd been looking at the same moon all the time, but we were just on other sides of it. Now we're on the same side.'
