Soccer Aid is back for 2025, with TV presenter and comedian Paddy McGuinness among the famous faces set to take to the pitch at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The Phoenix Nights, Top Gear and Take Me Out star has been a long-time supporter of the huge charity match, first taking part in the event in 2010. He will once again pull on the England shirt this weekend as he takes on the World XI alongside his famous teammates which include Paul Scholes, Bella Ramsey and Sir Mo Farah.
His appearance comes after a rocky few years in his personal life, having split from his former model wife Christine in 2022.
The couple married in June 2011 and went on to have three children - a twin girl and boy and a younger daughter - together.
However, in 2022, it was announced that they had separated after 11 years of marriage, although Paddy continued to live at the family home in Cheshire.
In a joint statement, the couple said: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.

"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.
"This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
Christine McGuinness speaks about sexuality
In the wake of the split, it emerged that Christine - who is now open to dating men and women - had 'grown close' to singer-songwriter, TV presenter and footballer Chelcee Grimes before her separation from McGuinness.
Christine became friends with Chelcee - who shared the field with Paddy at Soccer Aid in 2020 and also played at the 2021 and 2022 editions - when they met on ITV show The Games.
While the pair never confirmed or denied that they were dating, they were later seen walking hand-in-hand and kissing as they jetted off on holiday to Ibiza together.
However, despite their previously close relationship, the two women are believed to have had a falling out in 2023, as they unfollowed each other on social media.
Chelcee later liked a damning comment about Christine on social media, which branded the Real Housewives of Cheshire as "fake as they come," according to The Sun.
She later reportedly accused Christine of "copying everything I do" after the former model revealed she was celibate, with Grimes also previously abstaining from sex.
Grimes is not taking part in this year's Soccer Aid, having also not featured at the 2023 or 2024 events.
Christine has now spoken publicly about her sexuality, saying: 'It shouldn't matter if they're male or female, it shouldn't matter what their gender is. I shouldn't really ever even have to explain in any way who I want to spend my time with. That's my business.
'I'm just at the point where I think I've got a nice balance of going, yeah I date women and so what, what's the big deal? But also knowing that I don't have to go into big, massive detail about it either.'
She said photographs of her dating women had circulated 'multiple times" and she was surprised at the interest people seem to have.

Paddy will be playing in goal for England at Soccer Aid on Sunday, who also count the likes of Sam Quek, Roman Kemp and Dame Denise Lewis among their celebrity players.
Meanwhile, Tony Bellew, Richard Gadd and Gorka Marquez are among the famous faces representing the World XI, who are hoping to claim back the Soccer Aid title after losing it to England for the first time in eight years last time out.

Michael Gove's ex Sarah Vine speaks out about sexuality rumours and why they split
"I was completely naïve. I genuinely didn't think it through at all." Michael Gove's ex-wife Sarah Vine has spoken out about his sexuality and the real reason for their separation three years ago. The columnist admitted during an interview on Good Morning Britain (GMB) on Monday, June 23: "I would like to say I know but maybe I don't." While appearing on the ITV show to promote her new book, Sarah was asked by presenter Susanna Reid how she felt about rumours that Michael was actually gay and his sexuality was the real reason for their divorce, the Mirror reports. Sarah responded: "Oh so much gossip. Everyone just assumed that was the reason. Michael is quite camp but he's not gay. He's really not gay. I would like to say I know but maybe I don't. "People often think, 'Poor sad Sarah, she doesn't realise'. But if you look at the amount of girlfriends he's had since he left politics, there have been a few. Even if he was gay, would it matter? I'm not that bothered." Speaking about how it was actually his political career that ended their marriage, she confessed she had "no idea" what the world of politics would be like. She added: "I was completely naïve. I genuinely didn't think it through at all." When quizzed on whether she would recommend going into politics as a married person, she said: "I would probably say no on reflection. Unless your children are grown up. "You need a very strong family background, you need people who really support you who are invested in the project - that's what I would say." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Viewers at home were quick to share their reactions on social media. One wrote: "I can't believe this interview #GMB", with an emoji of a monkey covering its eyes. Others were left stunned by Sarah's admissions about former prime minister Boris Johnson. She said: "I quite like Boris, he's quite a human politician. As politicians go, he's quite honest and himself - authentic." A second viewer commented, "Sarah Vine said Johnson was a very honest politician", alongside three laughing emojis. Another said: "She quite likes honest...f**k it all now..#gmb."

This Morning and Loose Women set for budget new home in 'cost-cutting mission'
ITV are reportedly moving This Morning, Loose Women and Lorraine to a new filming location after years at the Television Centre amid a string of cost-cutting measures ITV programmes This Morning, Loose Women and Lorraine will reportedly have a new home after filming at the Television Centre in Shepherds Bush in west London for the last seven years. The cost-cutting move comes a few weeks after staff at the broadcaster were hit with news that there would be redundancies amid huge changes for ITV. It has been a tough time for ITV's Daytime hosts and crew - after it was revealed there would be huge changes both behind the scenes and on the shows. Lorraine Kelly's self-titled programme will be cut by in half next year, to just half an hour a day and will only air 30 weeks of the year. Loose Women will keep its hour show - but again, it will be cut to just 30 out of 52 weeks a year. Good Morning Britain will benefit from the change, extending 30 mins to 9.30am each day - and will be produced by a different team than the other shows - Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. And now, it has been reported that Loose Women, This Morning and Lorraine will be moved to The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, central London. A source told The Sun: "ITV are on a major budget saving mission and have landed a new deal to film ITV Daytime at what was The Hospital Club. "It's quite apt really as I'm sure they hope the move to the former hospital will breathe some life into their programme budgets. All three of their main shows, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will be based there... in the basement where there's a state of the art studio." The insider said the changes are "needed to keep up with the ever evolving world of TV but it's a far cry from the plush life stars have become" used to at the Television Centre. Speaking to The Mirror, a source said: "We have always said that when the changes to our daytime schedule take place in 2026 that Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will broadcast from a new central London location. The new studio is not yet confirmed and when it is we will obviously communicate that news to our staff first." Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, announced the initial changes last month, where he had said the changes were necessary to "generate savings". He said about the scheduling changes: "Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres. "These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever." Sources have told The Mirror:"It's not a case of viewers seeing less of their shows… it's impossible to see how the high standards will remain the same. Some staff believe Loose Women and Lorraine in particular will enter a death spiral… it's just so sad. Just a handful of people will be working on each of those two programmes which has huge ramifications for how they are going forward. "If that's the case, will Loose Women really still have a live audience…will there be the capacity for that? Everyone doubts it, not least because of the manpower needed to oversee it. Also, there is a huge amount of background work which goes into securing guests… in the new climate how does that continue with barely any staff?"

Coronation Street star addresses health battle that left her feeling faint
Former Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has spoken out about her Type 2 diabetes diagnosis. Sue, 61, bowed out of her Eileen Grimshaw role after 25 years earlier this month. The much-loved character left Weatherfield for a new life in Thailand after confessing that she had fallen out of love with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley). Having been given the chance to invest in son Jason Grimshaw's (Ryan Thomas) bar, she decided to make her trip to Southeast Asia permanent. Sue announced her exit at the beginning of the year, explaining that she wanted to explore new avenues. Now, ahead of taking on a new theatre role, she has discussed her health and how she felt faint while filming scenes on the ITV soap two decades ago. 'I think there is a lot of misunderstanding around diabetes, people tell you can't eat chocolate or sugar – but where I struggle with my diabetes is when I'm about to go on stage or when I'm about to go on Loose Women or live shows' she said. 'Before I go on I'd have to prick my finger and check if my sugar is stable enough to get me to the interval or do I need to eat.' Continuing to The Sun, Sue added: 'If I'm about to go on stage or live shows and I don't know if I'm going to make it if my sugars aren't stable enough, and I don't have time to prick my finger, you tend to think: 'Let me eat this thing now', and then you tend to feel the effects of it later or the middle of the show. 'But with Dexcom (a glucose monitor), I just have to look at my phone and see my sugar levels, it takes all of the worry out of it.' More Trending The star also spoke about her exit story, and how she wanted it to mirror her real life decision. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers?
