Jeremy Clarkson's Ferrari up for sale and here's how to buy it
Jeremy Clarkson's Ferrari is up for sale at an auction with a valuation of between £180,000 and £220,000. The Oxfordshire farmer has driven and reviewed his fair share of cars in his role as a motoring journalist. Appearing on shows such as BBC's Top Gear and Prime Video's The Grand Tour, the TV presenter has become synonymous with vehicles. One of Mr Clarkson's former cars, a red 1996 Ferrari F355 GTS, is now up for sale at auction. READ MORE: Clarkson's Farm star announces new venture after leaving show The front of the car. (Image: Jonathan Jacob / RM Sotheby's) In the 1996 VHS special Unleashed on Cars, the presenter emerged from his road test aboard the model and declared it to be: 'The greatest car in the world; ever." He reckoned it was the apogee of Maranello lore and modern technology. In fact, the supercar had wormed its way under his skin to such an extent that he 'had to have one', and he did. Bought via the official Maranello Sales dealership at its Tower Gate showroom in Egham, the F355 was delivered in August 1996. After some debate over colour and configuration, as covered in the 2000 series Clarkson's Car Years, he settled upon a targa-roofed GTS. VIEW LISTING HERE The back of the car. (Image: Jonathan Jacob / RM Sotheby's) He opted for Rosso Corsa over Crema leather, Rosso carpets, and extremely rare sports seats with Rosso inserts—a specification recorded in the original letters from Maranello Sales to Clarkson. The F355 would appear in The Sunday Times newspaper, including serving as the vehicle of choice when Clarkson retook (and failed) his driving test for a column published in the May 1999 issue. In Top Gear magazine in 2000, Clarkson wrote that across his four years of ownership to that point, the Ferrari had only covered 6,000 miles. This included returns to Maranello Sales for routine maintenance, with the cambelt being replaced in August 1999. Under their care, the car has been maintained fastidiously by marque expert John Pogson at his Italia Autosport concern near Huddersfield. Notably, a May 2025 service, belt change, refresh of the steering rack, plus paint correction and detailing cost £9,345. Gaining a fresh MoT at this point, the Ferrari displayed 14,899 miles at the time of cataloguing. A statement from the company said: "One of the great modern Modena creations and, thanks in no small part to its famous first owner, this F355 GTS is arguably one of the best-known and finest examples in existence. "Today, this F355 is even more desirable due to its rare specification of a manual gearbox with sports seats. "In the hands of its next keeper, it is sure to be a talking point at all supercar and Ferrari events it attends."

Jeremy Clarkson's Ferrari F355 GTS Up For Auction In July
Jeremy Clarkson, the automotive journalist, writer, and television presenter, is now in the news, as his Ferrari F355 GTS is going under the hammer at RM Sotheby's Cliveden House. In an episode on Top Gear, Clarkson labeled the F355 GTS as the 'World's Greatest Car' and bought it later in August 1996. However, he drove the Ferrari rigorously till 2000. Jeremy brought the car to his garage in 1996 and notched about 6000 miles on the odometer by the year 2000. However, it was later handed over to three different owners, initially as a giveaway prize by the Sunday Times. As per reports, the Clarkson-owned F355 GTS has traveled just 15,000 miles to date. Reports suggest that RM Sotheby's is auctioning Clarkson's F355 GTS at its Cliveden House 2025 event in July 2025. Also, RM Sotheby's has estimated the auction price of the Ferrari F33 GTS at around USD 245,000 to USD 300,000. Though this price seems to be quite heavy for the F355 GTS, it must be considered that the supercar just got serviced in May 2025, which cost 9000 Euro, and is also a celebrity-owned car. This might be a suitable justification for the high auction price estimates. Talking about the specifications, the Ferrari F355 GTS is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 engine producing 375 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Also, the other specialty of Jeremy Clarkson's F355 GTS is that it has cream and red sports seats, which are hardly seen in any of the Ferraris. Interestingly, Jeremy never bought any other Ferrari after the F355 GTS. However, his Top Gear co-host Richard Hammond bought a 550 Maranello and the 308 GT4. Also, James May got himself a 308 GTB, a F430, and a 458 Speciale.

Where is Clarkson's Farm and can I visit Diddly Squat farm shop and the Farmer's Dog pub?
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JEREMY Clarkson leads the rest of the Diddly Squat gang as the show returns for its fourth season. While Diddly Squat Farm and Farm Shop have been somewhat of an attraction since the show's debut in 2021, the unveiling of Jeremy's new pub has made a lot of people wonder if they can visit. Diddly Squat Farm Shop and the Farmer's Dog are both open to visitors! After a brief closure to the Farm Shop earlier this year, fans can now visit again and make a trip to the idyllic Cotswolds. The exact location of the Farm Shop is 5-12 Chipping Norton Road, Chadlington, Chipping Norton, OX7 3PE. Once there, fans will be able to experience some of the key locations featured on the Clarkson-fronted show. While visiting the site, many will hope to catch a glimpse of the rising stars of the show, including fan favourite Kaleb Cooper, straight-man and farm management consultant Charlie Ireland, the humorous Gerald Cooper, plus farm shop front-woman and Jezza's partner, Lisa Hogan. The iconic shop has become a public attraction since it opened, with thousands flocking to it each year, much to the dislike of some of the community. For visitors coming from outside the Cotswolds, the trip can take two hours from central London by car, or two and a half hours by public transport. If fans are staying nearby there is the X9 bus from The Bell Hotel in Charlbury that will take them straight past the 1000 acres site and near the Farm Shop. 3 Queues are a common feature at the popular farm shop in the Cotswolds Credit: SWNS Previously, the farm also had a functioning restaurant on location called The Big View Café, but this was shut down due to excessive traffic. In response, this series of the hit show followed the former Top Gear presenter's trials and tribulations of trying to open a pub. Viewers watched each episode as Jeremy struggled to find a suitable pub for his new venture, despite the sheer number of venues available. Finally, Jeremy found a pub, which was formerly known as the Windmill, and renovated and renamed it to the Farmer's Dog. The latest weapon in Jeremy's farming armoury is located off the Asthall Barrow Roundabout, Burford OX18 4HJ. As it is a working farm, visitors are best to stick to the Farm Shop and Pub - so do not expect to see Jeremy riding around in his infamous Lamborghini tractor. 3 The renamed pub opened last year and is already a popular destination Credit: Adrian Sherratt What can you expect at The Farmer's Dog? The pub, which champions British farmers, is sure to be on top of fans' bucket lists. Jeremy's main reason behind opening the pub was that he wanted everything to come from British farms within a certain radius, so don't expect to see any Heinz ketchup on offer. Instead, visitors to the pub can treat themselves to the steak pie, ham hock terrine, rhubarb crumble, and a wide range of other menu items, all knowing that it has come from local farmers. Since the pub opened, it has been extremely busy, and after the show aired, its popularity has soared. And so, for fans hoping to pay a visit in the near future, you may have to wait a while. Bookings for the new Oxfordshire landmark open each month but get snapped up fast, with forums set up on social media helping fans get their chance to visit.

Chinese Cars Are Invading Europe, And Some Of Them Are Pretty Good
There are over 150 different automakers in China right now struggling to find a way to stand apart from the crowd and find their market. In recent years China has found the European market ready and willing to accept cars from China, to the point where Chinese imports now make up over 20% of Euro market new car sales. As with all things from China, you have to separate the truly well engineered vehicles from the cheap underwhelming junk, but when you do, the cream rises to the top. Top Gear recently collected 20 examples of Chinese-built machinery and put them through the wringer of track testing to see which ones stand up to the rigors of daily operation. Some stood out in a good way and others fell flat on their face. Top Gear's Ollie Marriage and Tom Ford came to some pretty smart conclusions after driving all of these machines. In the good column, MG's Cyberster, the Lotus Eletre and Emiya, and XPeng's Tesla Model Y copying G6. Then there's the undriveable taff, like Chery's Omoda 5 and Skywell's BE11. Thankfully the good dramatically outweighs the bad, and every new model that enters the market has improved on the ones before it. China is building cheap and cheerful machines, particularly the small "supermini" class of cars. The best of the bunch are still Euro-centric brands building cars to their specifications in Chinese factories, but China is learning how to compete in the global automotive market. This feels analogous to Korean cars in the early 2000s or Japanese cars in the 1970s, but the learning curve is getting significantly shorter. Read more: These Are Your Worst Experiences With A Recall If the Chinese takeover of the global market continues apace, and the U.S. market remains a tariff-cutoff protectionist home market, it's entirely possible we'll see a dramatic decline in U.S. brand automobile exports. China doesn't necessarily have to build better cars to become the global leader in automobiles, either. With a Chinese stranglehold on developing markets in the global south, the so-called soft power of a company like BYD or Great Wall goes a long way toward pushing American manufacturers out. Americans already buy almost all of their goods from Chinese manufacturers, why not cars, too? If BYD could deliver its Dolphin Surf, a compact electric hatchback, to your door for under $25,000 wouldn't you be interested? I know I would. UK buyers can kip down to the shops and bag one for just 18,000 quid, they can. Ni hao, China. Want more like this?
