Lottie Tomlinson undergoes emergency surgery after falling ill on flight

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Lottie Tomlinson has revealed her holiday started in a scary way as she was taken ill on a flight and needed to be rushed to hospital. The 26-year-old influencer, whose brother is former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, jetted off to Abu Dhabi this week, but things took a turn as she felt 'really bad stomach pains' on the plane. 'So I didn't expect to start my trip like this,' she admitted in a selfie video from her hospital bed, which she shared on her Instagram Story. 'But I'm just grateful that I'm recovering now. I fell quite ill on the way here on the plane with really bad stomach pains,' Lottie said, noting that once she landed, she started 'throwing up'. 'Long story short, I went to the doctor and they put me on a drip,' she revealed. 'But it wasn't helping the stomach pains. So they sent me to hospital, where I discovered that I had appendicitis.' She added: 'So it needed surgery straight away. So last night I had surgery to remove my appendix, and it all went well.' In the caption, she wrote: 'Thank you to all the lovely doctors and nurses here in Abu Dhabi.' Lottie is on holiday with her fiancé Lewis Burton and their children Lucky, two, and Flossie, five months. She shared photos of the family by her side, and wrote: 'Hopefully I can make a speedy recovery and enjoy our last few days here.' As described by the NHS, appendicitis is 'swelling and infection in your appendix' which 'usually causes pain in the lower right side of your abdomen'. Symptoms usually start with pain in the middle, near your belly button, with the pain increasing and moving to the lower right side 'after a few hours'. Pain can feel worse when you 'move, cough or press on the area'. Other symptoms include feeling or being sick, loss of appetite, high temperature, constipation or diarrhoea, urinating more than usual. For older people, 'sudden confusion' is also a possible symptom. Lottie later returned to Instagram with a more positive update alongside a photo of her and Lewis in a car holding hands. More Trending 'Out of hospital and on the way to hotel to rest,' she wrote. 'Thank you so much for all the kind messages x' She later shared some photos of herself in a bikini and her family in the pool, revealing how happy she was to be back with her family for the rest of their trip. 'Back where I belong,' she said. 'You make everything better.' 'Let's try this again,' she quipped over a photo of the beach from her hotel balcony, and she wrote alongside a bikini mirror selfie: '1 appendix down but what better place to recover.' Got a story? Topless Tyson! Fury spotted wearing nothing but a KILT as he films latest Netflix series in obscure Scottish town - as fans hail 'Viking' look

Tyson Fury looked every inch the Braveheart warrior as he strode around a Scottish town flashing his topless muscular torso - wearing a kilt and a whole load of attitude. The Gypsy King was posing for the cameras in filming for season two of his Netflix series 'At Home with The Furys'. Netflix confirmed another run of the show after the nine-part first series garnered positive reviews and a mammoth 2.6million viewers on the opening episode alone. Cameras have been trailing Fury, 36, for the last couple of weeks for more content with Fury, childhood sweetheart wife Paris, and their seven children. He reaffirmed his retirement from boxing in May after rumours that he could return, having retired for the fifth time in January. And while fans might not be treated to any more bouts involving the two-time world heavyweight champion, they did enjoy his look with the kilt, tartan tie, socks, and big boots as he sauntered around Grantown-on-Spey. 'The people champion,' commented one user on his Instagram video. 'I'm thinking techno Viking,' said another. You my man are my HERO.' commented 11-time world champion and former 'Golden Boy of Boxing' Oscar de la Hoya. 'Beast of a man,' wrote JD Tom Zanetti. Some desperately clung to the hope that he might once again don his boxing gloves, with one supporter asking: 'Promo for a comeback fight?' Fury was back on our screens in a different capacity at the weekend as he helped manage England at Soccer Aid. He left viewers shocked as he dropped the f-bomb live on ITV. It came as the boxer gave the England team a motivational speech in the dressing room. During his words of encouragement, he told the lads: 'We are f***ing Spartans.' It forced Alex Scott to apologise to viewers at home, before she threw back to Dermot O'Leary, 52, who was standing by on the pitch. Scott, 40, told fans: 'We do apologise for the swearing. It's Tyson we don't know what's going to happen.' Not that the motivational twist helped the team much - they ended up losing 5-4 to the World XI after Carlos tevez struck four times and Big Zuu scored the winner, with £15million raised for UNICEF.

Host Lee Mack asked the players: "If you turn this image 90 degrees clockwise, how many arrows are pointing to the right?" "This is like when my nan used to do a three-point turn," Lee joked. With just 30 seconds to work out the correct answer, two people were lost after getting it wrong. After the brain-basher, 18 people were still left in the game with the jackpot at £87,000. But can you work out how many arrows there should be? Lee confirmed the answer: "As it's a 90 degree clockwise turn, you needed to find the arrows that were pointing up that would then be turning to the right." The Not Going Out actor revealed: "The answer is 2." The ITV game show is a TV quiz favourite that doesn't rely on general knowledge, but instead tests players' logic and common sense. Round by round, the puzzles get increasingly difficult as more people are eliminated. The 1% Club players struggle on very tough letters question - can you outsmart them? It's not the first time players have struggled to get their heads round a question - and it certainly won't be the last. The popular show recently saw 16 celebs wiped out with an easy anagram question. The Soccer Aid special of the ITV game show tested 100 celebrities and athletes on their logic and common sense. The star-studded lineup included Jill Scott, Iain Stirling, Paddy McGuinness, Tommy Fury, Tony Bellew, Chris Hughes and many more. They all hoped to reach the end and win up to £100,000 prize money for the UNICEF charity. But by the 1% question there were just two contenders remaining. Hats off to former footballer Clarke Carlisle - who played for QPR, Watford and Leeds - and comedian and ex-Soccer AM host, Lloyd Griffith. Could you tackle their teaser in just half a minute?
