Everyone Stylish Is Wearing These Abercrombie Shorts – And They're In Stock

Now that outdoor temperatures have risen considerably, you may find yourself facing a sartorial dilemma: how to choose an outfit that's both incredibly chic and comfortable enough to withstand the heat. While you may opt for a pair of linen trousers or an airy midi skirt in a bid to keep cool and comfortable, there is one alternative that nails the balance between style and practicality with unfussy polish, and that is a pair of Bermuda shorts.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that knee-length Bermuda shorts have begun to dominate the fashion pack, given their endorsement on the spring runways of Miu Miu and Dries Van Noten, not to mention the rise and rise of denim jorts. Naturally, the trend has filtered down to the high street, with brands like Massimo Dutti and COS offering their own takes on the silhouette. Our favourite iteration so far? The Abercrombie & Fitch Mid Rise Bermuda Short, crafted from a mid-weight fabric fit for the summer months. And the fashion crowd has fallen for them - hard. 1.
Mid Rise Bermuda Short - Black
Few Bermuda shorts look as chic as this tailored pair - classic black, no less. Style them with a matching black leather belt featuring a gold buckle for a bold statement, or opt for silver hardware for a more subtle touch that complements any outfit.
Typically popular in clean-cut cottons, washed blue denim and leather, the Abercrombie shorts have taken a slightly more tailored approach - made from suiting-style fabric that has the feel of formal trousers, while maintaining a relaxed wearable silhouette. Available in two colours: a sleek black (which has unsurprisingly been selling out at record speed) and ash, a stone, light grey-beige hue that lends itself to a plethora of capsule wardrobe staples, including longline waistcoats and striped shirts.
There's great news for anyone who prefers to stick to linen - there's a lightweight, soft version available to shop, too. They're the same style, same cut and same length as the originals, but this version comes in a crisp white shade that's perfect for the beach (paired with a matching linen shirt) or for evenings out with an Aperol in hand. For a nighttime look, opt for whimsical lace blouses or flirty asymmetrical strapless tops. As for footwear? Footbed sandals like Birkenstocks are ideal for daytime, while mule kitten heels will truly elevate the outfit once the sun goes down. 2.
Mid Rise Linen-Blend Bermuda Short - White
Alternatively, opt for the linen version in a crisp, cool white - perfect for beach holidays where heavy materials just won't do and beach-friendly outfit formulas are a must. Pair it with linen shirts for an effortlessly cool and comfortable look on hot days.
Whichever version you choose, shop them quick before they sell out. We suspect they'll fly off the virtual shelves, as sizes are already dwindling in all colours, in both linen and non-linen. Shop the rest below. 3.
Mid Rise Bermuda Short - Ash
For a lighter take on the tailored favourite, opt for the Bermuda shorts in ash - perfect when paired with black tops featuring casual-cool cap sleeves or cotton boxy tees for a laid-back yet polished look. 4.
Mid Rise Linen-Blend Bermuda Short - Black
Shop the black linen shorts if you're looking for a cropped linen staple that looks as good as it feels - especially when your commute includes a stifling tube journey. Lightweight and breathable, they'll keep you comfortable all day long.

This £1,700 cult bag is having a major moment - I've found 7 high street alternatives from £38

The weather is warming up, and fashion influencers and tourists alike are gearing up for another Euro summer. The phrase was originally used to refer to non-Europeans (especially Americans and Australians) heading off on extended trips in the Mediterranean. But, thanks to platforms like Instagram and TikTok, it's now less of a travel term and more of an aspirational aesthetic. Think: morning strolls through cobblestone streets, afternoons sipping Aperol Spritzes on sun loungers and, of course, a carefully-curated wardrobe to match the vibe. Fashion's most coveted item of the season? A crochet bag, preferably designer – and there's a wealthy selection to choose from. There's the £890 Summer Banana Tote from Chloé, the £1,760 Crochet Tote from Prada and don't even get us started on the incredible collection of baskets and raffia bags at Anya Hindmarch. But, the piece that's turning the most heads across southern Europe this summer is the £1,700 Crochet Tote from Miu Miu. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Audrey Peters🍒 (@ The rainbow crochet accessories have become a cult favourite, with personal shoppers at Gab Waller, Threads and The Find Studio hitting sourcing records for the £1,100 Crochet Pouch, which is sold out online. The multicoloured shopper is still available to buy online, but sadly it's a little (read: a lot) more pricey than our budget. Luckily, there are some great alternatives on the high street that offer the colourful crochet look, without the designer price tag. From a blue-and-green shopper at Mango to a pink-and-orange straw clutch at Next and a purple-and-brown carry-all basket at Bimba Y Lola, scroll down for our edit of the seven best affordable Miu Miu alternatives that you can just throw on with a linen shirt, some denim shorts and flip-flops on your summer holiday. Christine Lampard, 46, looks amazing in bikini alongside Frank on family holiday

Loose Women presenter Christine Lampard soaked up the sun in a stunning navy bikini set as she and former footballer husband Frank Lampard enjoyed a relaxing getaway in Lake Como Christine Lampard looked amazing as she enjoyed a lavish family holiday in Lake Como. The Loose Women star, 46, showed off her fabulous figure as she relaxed at the hotspot alongside former footballer husband Frank Lampard. The duo were seen chilling by the pool on Monday as Christine opted for a navy halterneck bikini to soak up the rays. The attire was paired with low-rise briefs as she also wore chunky black sunglasses. The presenter tied her hair back in a bun for the outing. ‌ Christine was later seen sporting a floral sarong as she paddled through the shallow water. Frank, meanwhile, wore light blue swimming shorts as the duo sipped fresh Aperol spritzes by the poolside. After the cool-off was complete, Christine changed her light sarong, which she tidily folded, into a navy skirt matching her halterneck top. ‌ Last month, Christine, who shares two kids with the former Chelsea man - Patricia, 6, and Freddie - admitted it's sometimes tough to have their blended family. Frank also has teenagers Luna, 19, and Isla, 17, from a previous relationship with Spanish model Elen Rivas. Christine recently admitted the family set up quickly felt normal, but admitted it wasn't always so straight forward. The duo initially hooked up in October 2009 and got married in 2015. They are approaching their 10th wedding anniversary this year, and Christine told the Sun: "It's hard for all parties, that's the truth. It can be difficult when there is emotion involved. 'You have to navigate everyone's feelings and not just think about yourself in order to try to make it a happy ship. What I would say is you can absolutely get there. Some people have awful times, but then it's brilliant." ‌ And she also admitted it was key that she "never stepped out on any boundaries" as she confirmed the importance of prioritising the kids. And Frank was also in a positive mindset about their link up. Explaining the secret to their happy marriage, the ex-England man told the Mirror: 'What keeps me and Christine going is we're there to support each other and we make each other laugh. We have a similar sense of humour. ‌ "Christine's quite sharp and we're normally thinking the same thing, so the same situations make us laugh - I think laughing together is important for a happy marriage." The duo also share a fondness of football and say that is a big factor in their relationship. While Frank's accolades are clear, winning 106 England caps, Christine co-hosts the Not Just Football podcast. In it, she discusses the sport and other subjects with TV presenters Hayley McQueen and Kelly Cates. Frank went on: "I do have a pretty good work-life balance at Coventry, but at the same time I sometimes have to be away from home and Christine takes the brunt of the parenting. We enjoy being parents together but it's important to have time together, too."
