Victor Osimhen now BEGGING out to be signed by Liverpool
Liverpool have been informed that they are in the driving seat should they pursue a deal for Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian forward is coming off the back of a successful season on loan at Galatasaray - scoring 37 times in 41 games overall as Gala won the Turkish league and cup double.

But the 26-year-old has now returned to parent club Napoli, where his contract extends until 2026. With relations at an all-time low, Osimhen WILL be sold this summer and Liverpool are favourites to sign him according to a report in Sportmediaset.
According to the report, Osimhen rejected Al-Hilal's contract offer of €35m per season.
Gala too would like to have him back, proposing €15m per year of their own money and another €10m from sponsors. The Turkish giants won't hang around forever however and need an answer soon.
Liverpool are Napoli's preference
Osimhen for his part is open to a future in the Premier League - but the player's preference is believed to be a move to Juventus.

The complicating factor for the Bianconeri is that Aurelio De Laurentiis - the Napoli president - has zero intention of selling his prized asset to a domestic rival.
A reported release clause of €75m ONLY applies to overseas clubs, meaning Juve can be quite easily priced out of a deal for Osimhen.
Napoli are keen to prevent their 2022/23 Serie A title-winning forward from becoming a burden and are seeking a quick resolution before a training camp at Trentino begins in around a month.

Sasa Kalajdzic expresses enthusiasm for potential Bundesliga return

Recently linked with a return to the Bundesliga, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic has spoken on potentially suiting up for another German club. The former Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt man could well imagine continuing his career in Germany. Kalajdzic spoke at length about his former Swabian side in a Kicker interview. 'I even considered flying to Berlin,' Kalajdzic enthusiastically remarked when commenting on Stuttgart's DFB-Pokal Final tie against Arminia Bielefeld. 'but that would have been too difficult. I watched on TV and was extremely happy. The club and the fans deserve it, and so does the team. They play great football and rewarded themselves for a season with more ups than downs. Advertisement 'I've said many times that VfB [Stuttgart] is the club closest to my heart,' Kalajdzic also said. 'I watch almost every game. I'm still in touch with some of the players I have a lot of friends there. My wife also felt very much at home in Stuttgart. VfB is my first big love in football, and it always will be. I'm happy that the clu.b is where it is now. I hope it can climb even higher, because I believe VfB belongs at the top.' As to whether he could envision perhaps returning to Stuttgart to play someday, the 27-year-old obviously needed to note that his familiarity with the team precluded such a possibility. Kalajdzic can't hope to accuse playing time behind the likes of strikers Deniz Undav, Ermedin Demirovic, and current 'man-of-the-moment' Nick Woltemade. There's also the matter of the Austrian international's troubled injury history. 'VfB has three strikers, and all three did well last season,' Kalajdzic said. 'A loan always has to make sense. In football, it's rare or even unheard of to sign someone just because they had a great past or out of love. Everything has to fit. I'm not in a position [due to the injury history] where I can point to a club and say, 'That's where I want to play.',' Kalajdzic nevertheless did drop strong hints that he wised to play football in the country of his mother tongue and comfortable culture. His words on life in Wolverhampton surely solicited a chuckle out of most readers. Advertisement 'It's a smaller city,' Kalajdzic said of his West Midlands home, 'Life here is a bit different from what I was used to – the culture, the food, the lifestyle. In Germany, people go out to a café or eat out when the weather is nice. In England, they do that too, but there's also a big pub culture, which isn't really my thing. But that doesn't mean that life here is worse. The people are very nice and crazy about football.' The most telling quote of the interview still revealed where the two-meter-tall forward wished to be. 'I know the Bundesliga, and the Bundesliga knows me,' Kalajdzic said. 'So it would be a good fit. And I would never close any doors – but that applies in general, not just to VfB. I just want to be back on the pitch and playing! Spain, Germany, or Italy would be options for me, but I'm not ruling out staying in Wolverhampton.' GGFN | Peter Weis

Liverpool closing in on agreement to sign Sadio Mane 2.0

According to journalist Nabil Djellit Liverpool are close to agreeing a €1m deal to sign Sidy Bahama Ndiaye. The 2009-born 15-year-old Senegalese winger is likely to join the Reds from his academy Diambars. Advertisement This is an interesting move. Ndiaye is regarded as a big prospect, who was playing an age-group above his peers at the recent U17 AFCON and certainly caught the eye. But being 15-years-old, Ndiaye will not be able to join the club until he celebrates his 18th birthday as per FIFA rules. His birthday is in December so that won't happen until December 2027, which means the earliest transfer window Ndiaye could join the club is the January 2028 one, which will be in around two and a half years. Liverpool haven't done this kind of deal pretty much ever. But it's not unprecedented in the world of football. Advertisement Chelsea signed Kendry Paez two years ago and he's only been able to complete that move this year. It's clearly a direction Liverpool want to head towards. That's why they appointed Kyle Wallbanks as the club's Global Talent Scouting Manager. In this role Wallbanks' job is to identify the next emerging talent and recruit them, which will be even more necessary if FSG move towards the multi-club model with Michael Edwards. Ndiaye has clearly been flagged by Wallbanks as one of those potential players. And it's easy to see why. There are shades of Mane about him, who is the last Senegalese to play for Liverpool. Ndiaye has the same sheer speed. Advertisement When he runs with the ball at full flow defenders find it impossible to stop him. He's incredibly fast and the only way he could be stopped at the U17 AFCON is by being chopped down over and over again by the clumsy feet of opposition defenders. Overall, he averages 8.84 dribbles per 90, which is an extremely productive return. His end product was lacking a little but that's something that can be improved. He's still only 15 years old and has plenty of time to reach the levels he needs to reach.

Kenan Yildiz scores twice in Juventus' 4-1 win in Club World Cup

PHILADELPHIA -- Kenan Yildiz scored two goals in Juventus' 4-1 win over Wydad in the Club World Cup on Sunday. The victory clinched a spot in the elimination round of the tournament for Juventus. In the sixth minute, Juventus took the lead as defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil deflected a shot attempt by Yildiz into the back of Wydad's net. Ten minutes later, Yildiz showed up again in front of the 31,975 fans in Lincoln Financial Field, less than half the stadium's capacity, to double Juventus' lead with a powerful volley into the top right corner. Wydad made it 2-1 in the 25th minute after a pass from team captain Nordin Amrabat left Thembinkosi Lorch one-on-one with Michele Di Gregorio, who wasn't able to stop Lorch's chip shot. Following the goal, the referee paused the match after Wydad's supporters threw three flares onto the field and set off red and black smoke in the stands that affected visibility on the field. The four-minute pause also served as a hydration break for the players as temperatures in Philadelphia reached 89 degrees in the first half. With his second goal of the game, Yildiz secured the win for Juventus in the 69th minute after an assist by Randal Kolo Muani. In stoppage time, Dusan Vlahovic added a goal after converting a penalty kick. Vlahovic's score in the 94th minute was key to make Juventus' goal differential better ahead of a tough match against Manchester City for the lead in Group G. Juventus is through to the round of 16 of the Club World Cup. They will play Manchester City next Thursday to determine the leader of Group G. With the loss, Wydad is eliminated from the tournament. They will face Al Ain in a battle for third place in the group. ___
