Rockstar removes PS Plus requirement for GTA Online on PS4 & PS5
Source: Rockstar Games PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players can temporarily play GTA Online without an active PlayStation Plus subscription for a short time. Rockstar and Sony have lifted the PS Plus requirement temporarily as part of the new Money Fronts update celebration, granting more players entry into Los Santos and a taste of the latest features. The free period will expire on July 1. Free GTA Online access now open to everybody on PlayStation — TezFunz2 (@TezFunz2) The PS Plus paywall for GTA Online has been dropped on both PS4 and PS5, so that everybody, whether subscribed to PS Plus or not, can play the game's online universe. This offer coincides with the release of Money Fronts , a new update that brings new criminal businesses, cars, and missions designed to further enrich the player's money-generating opportunities in the game. Rockstar has employed the same access events before, on the occasions of big content drops, to bring back lapsed players or bring in new players. While some of these events have run for a weekend, this one is running for two weeks until July 1. Throughout these two weeks, non-PS Plus players can experience GTA Online in its entirety, purchase new vehicles, engage in jobs, and enjoy community events taking place throughout Los Santos. Why Rockstar is doing this and what players will be getting This type of move is in line with Rockstar and Sony's wider strategy to promote player interest whenever a new update drops. GTA V keeps selling millions of copies each quarter, and for numerous new or casual gamers, the PS Plus subscription can act as a barrier to getting a taste of GTA Online. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo By lowering that barrier temporarily, Rockstar makes more people experience the latest updates and maybe stay engaged in the long run. Next week, an additional six vehicles will be included in the game as part of the Money Fronts update, and everyone, subscribed and non-subscribed alike, will have access to them if they play inside this timeframe. Meanwhile, existing PS Plus subscribers also have access to GTA III via the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog under the Extra and Premium plans. Could GTA 5's Franklin return in GTA 6 as a mentor or target?
Ever since GTA 6 was announced with a shiny new setting and a fresh duo, Jason and Lucia, fans have been wondering: Will we see familiar faces return? And if so, what about Franklin Clinton ? The young hustler from Los Santos who went from repo man to millionaire assassin is now a fan favorite. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now So here's the question on everyone's mind: could Franklin pop up in GTA 6 as a mentor. .. or a target? Franklin's Rise from Hood to Hollywood By the end of GTA 5, Franklin had it made. He had cash, respect, real estate, and ties to some of the most powerful figures in Los Santos. If you played the Contract DLC in GTA Online, you'd know he's now running F. Clinton and Partner , a high-end 'celebrity solutions' agency with none other than Dr. Dre on speed dial. Franklin's glow-up isn't just legit—it's next-level . But this kind of success doesn't come without enemies, right? GTA 5 - Franklin Character Trailer Why He Could Be a Mentor to Jason or Lucia Let's say Lucia and Jason, fresh out of prison and on the run, need someone to show them how to play the system without getting killed or caught. Franklin fits the bill. He's been there, done that, and probably still has a few burner phones lying around. A mentorship role makes perfect sense: He understands loyalty and betrayal. He knows the criminal grind, but also how to get out. He's smart, strategic, and plays the long game, which is exactly what Lucia seems to want. And with Franklin's agency connections, he could be the bridge between the new Leonida underworld and the remnants of Los Santos' elite. But What If He's the Target? Here's the flip side: Franklin is now a big name. Wealthy, well-known, and maybe a little too confident. And in GTA, that makes you a walking target . Imagine Lucia and Jason get hired to take someone down. A 'high-value asset' in another state. They pull the file… and it's Franklin Clinton. Maybe he's got dirt on the wrong people. Maybe someone from his past wants revenge. Or maybe he's become part of a corrupt system that Jason and Lucia are trying to burn down. That would hit hard. 10 Times Rockstar Games Crossed Over With Each Other Rockstar Loves Connecting Universes Rockstar has been quietly tying together GTA Online and storylines across games. Franklin's already made the leap from GTA V to GTA Online's The Contract update. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now If they're continuing that shared-universe vibe, it wouldn't be wild to see him pop up again in GTA 6. Whether Franklin shows up to hand over some hard-earned wisdom or finds himself in someone's crosshairs, either role would be iconic. He's too important to just disappear — and if Rockstar plays it right, his return could be a turning point in GTA 6's story. One thing's for sure: if Franklin rolls up in Leonida, it's gonna be awesome.

GTA Online player kicked by Rockstar for streaming leaked DLC on jailbroken PS5
Source: Rockstar Games A GTA Online gamer was hit with immediate repercussions after trying to livestream unreleased material from the Money Fronts update, set to roll out shortly, using a jailbroken PS5 console. The player was suddenly ejected from the session by a Rockstar Games admin while in the middle of the livestream, explicitly sending a message that the company is actively enforcing unauthorized access before official releases. Rockstar admin bans leaker for early access to Money Fronts update During a livestream of early content from the new Money Fronts DLC, the player was abruptly greeted with a message of: "You have been kicked from this session by a Rockstar Games administrator." The ban was streamed in real time and soon shared on social media, where users remarked upon the streamer playing with an altered PS5 system to view unreleased content. The Money Fronts DLC, which officially comes out on June 17, had previously been preloaded onto Rockstar's servers ahead of time, a routine measure to decongest launch-day traffic. Yet some modders on jailbroken consoles were able to burrow into these preloaded files and trigger aspects of the update early. Not only did the player in question illicitly access the content but also broadcast it to the public at large, which most likely attracted Rockstar's quick reaction. Rockstar's zero tolerance for leaks and unauthorized access Rockstar Games has had a strict policy against cheaters, modders, and leakers for a long time, particularly when it pertains to unreleased material. The studio has upped the ante in the last few years in its efforts to avoid leaks, especially after high-profile ones related to GTA VI and previous GTA Online patches. The ban is disciplinary but also a warning to others who would seek to take advantage of preloaded content. Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, has also been similarly aggressive in seeking legal and platform-level enforcement against those who break terms of service or leak proprietary content. This recent incident highlights the publisher's larger initiative to maintain control over how and when its material is revealed. The mid-stream banning of a GTA Online player for leaking the Money Fronts DLC on a jailbroken PS5 is a clear message to the community. Rockstar isn't merely observing, it's acting. With the official release of the update just around the corner, the studio has sent word that early access via unofficial channels will not be allowed. GTA Online winter update could finally introduce purchasable mansions
Image Via Reddit Rockstar Games might be preparing to deliver one of the most requested features in GTA Online: Mansions. Though not officially confirmed, strong evidence from datamined files following the Money Fronts update hints at a winter DLC that will allow players to purchase luxurious homes through a new real estate business. This long-anticipated feature could become a reality just as the game nears the end of its decade-long run. Mansions hinted by new property firm and in-game assignments The most significant tip comes from dataminer Floorball , who dug up text strings mentioning a company called Prix Luxury Real Estate . One of the strings states: "You have earned an exclusive discount on a future property purchase," directly pointing to purchasable properties in the future. These strings were discovered not long after Rockstar rolled out the summer Money Fronts update, further supporting the idea that Rockstar is gearing up for an expansion in real estate. The players can apparently gain this discount now, perhaps as a reward for engaging in the ongoing event. There are also a number of mission prompts in the files referencing helping Mr. Faber's client with luxury property development. These tasks have phases such as "New Listings Due Diligence," "Fixes & Fittings," and "Hard Deadlines," indicating that players may engage in a property-building narrative prior to gaining access to purchase their own mansion. Seeds of a slow-burning construction event and decade-long fan request Rockstar can finally introduce a gradual construction event, which has long been a fan request since the never-done Mile High Club project. Dataminer @HeySlickThatsMe discovered props at two points in the game, which reinforce the notion that an in-game mansion development process is underway. This would be a significant step forward in GTA Online's real estate systems, which have been fairly stagnant since the addition of high-end penthouses and apartments. Fans have repeatedly asked for mansions as an exclusive item since the 2013 release of the game. There were even people who created rumors throughout the years because they wanted it so badly. Though Rockstar hasn't directly announced mansions, the leaked game files provide the strongest indication yet that they're on the way in the winter update. Assuming that's the case, it would be a suitable addition as GTA Online raps up leading into GTA 6, finally providing players with the high life they've fantasized about for more than a decade.
