Parents Throw Trader Joe's-Obsessed 4-Year-Old the Perfect Themed Birthday Party (Exclusive)

Jenni and Sean Glester had a special idea, a year in the making, in mind for their son Joey's 4th birthday party The "Trader Joey" themed event celebrated all the birthday boy's favorites from Trader Joe's The family tells PEOPLE about the special meaning behind their son's name and why this event is one they'll always rememberA newly minted 4-year-old's family went all out to give him a celebration that fit him just right. Jenni Glester and her husband Sean put together an epic Trader Joe's-themed 4th birthday party in celebration of her son Joey, who loves visiting the store with his mom. The Florida toddler enjoys "pushing the kid-sized red cart, picking out produce and shopping for new snacks," his mom tells PEOPLE. "Celebrating Joey and gathering with loved ones are two of our favorite things to do. We came up with the theme a few years ago," Jenni shares. "We were brainstorming and planning for almost a year ... taking note of his favorite snacks and fun touches that make Trader Joe's so unique. Sticking exclusively to Trader Joe's food and beverages was a fun challenge — and we even found some new favorites in the process!" Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. For Jenni, getting the celebration just right meant nailing all the details. For decor, the family saved up packaging from their Trader Joe's favorites "for several months, to repurpose for decor and a 'shopping' area." The group of over 20 parents and kids also enjoyed a "create your own bouquet" area, inspired by the store's fresh-flower selection, with flowers from Kings Wholesale Florist. Kids also had fun playing in a "Trader Joey's" bounce house, supplied by The White Bounce House of Tampa and Sarasota. As for the menu, Joey's favorites — Diner Mac 'N Cheese, meatballs, mini chocolate chip cookies, cheese, crackers, fruit and vegetables — were all included. Goodie bags were filled with his favorite snacks, including fruit leather and seasonal Cherry Lemon animal crackers. There were juice boxes for the kids to sip on, while grown-up guests enjoyed a selection of Trader Joe's wine and beer, like Two Buck Chuck, Josephsbrau Grapefruit Radler, Boatswaine IPA and Tarogino Frizzante Sparkling Orange Wine. The family even fit in a crafty approach to birthday cake. Joey's birthday cake consisted of six Strawberry Lemon Mini Sheet Cakes brought together. "We had a lot of fun challenging ourselves to purchase everything we served from Trader Joe's. All food and drinks were from there! The cake was six of the Strawberry Lemon Sheet Cakes, assembled with Lemon Curd between the layers, then topped with fruit. The kids loved the Diner Mac and Cheese, meatballs and tons of other snacks," Jenni says. The result was a birthday party that both the birthday boy and his family are sure to remember forever. "Joeyboy is so fun-loving. He's game for all of his mom's wild ideas — and he had the best time celebrating with his friends and family," Sean says. Jenni notes that while it was a fun event to put together, it celebrates something even more special related to Joey's name. "The theme is a fun pun on Joey's name, but it's extra special to us, because he's named after Sean's late dad, Joe, and my late mom, Joanne," she explains. "This was the perfect way to lean into something Joey loves, while also celebrating his name, which means the world to us." The family had "so much fun" putting the event together that they're already starting to work on ideas for Joey's 5th birthday. Read the original article on People

'I've kept Diana's secrets for decades - here's what she told me after divorce'

Princess Diana's former personal trainer, Jenni Rivett, has revealed that she used to implore the Princess not to divulge her secrets, for a deeply saddening reason. Jenni, 65, was closely involved with Diana during what was arguably the most turbulent time in the royal's life, as her marriage disintegrated in the public eye. Diana and King Charles - then Prince of Wales - found themselves embroiled in a PR skirmish often referred to as the 'War of the Waleses'. They were both trying to present their side of the story to the public amidst their bitter separation. As Diana's personal trainer, Jenni had a front-row seat to the Princess's life during this challenging period. She worked with Diana for six years from 1991 to 1997, right up until the royal's premature and tragic death. The pair had even scheduled further workout sessions for after Diana's planned return, reports the Mirror. Tragically, Diana died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997 while on holiday with her then-boyfriend Dodi Fayed. Their driver, under the influence of alcohol, crashed the vehicle while attempting to evade paparazzi who were pursuing them. All but one passenger perished in the accident. Jenni and Diana had training sessions booked just days later - sessions that would never take place. The South African trainer learned the devastating news of her long-time client's death through a friend. It's taken her nearly three decades to feel ready to talk about Diana and the cherished memories they created together. Jenni shared with the Mail Online about her bond with Diana, revealing that their connection was strong but there were moments when she had to implore Diana to hold back on confiding too private details of her life. "Sometimes Diana would tell me things so personal I would ask her: 'Please don't say any more because if it ends up in the papers tomorrow, you will think it was me.' "I would give her the very best advice I could, yet I'd pinch myself – here I am, consultant to the Royal Family! But saying that, I knew my place. I never brought up subjects myself, I never overstepped the line, and I think she appreciated that," Jenni recalled. She also disclosed that Diana's ultimate path wasn't what she had hoped for herself; in Diana's heart, what truly mattered were her husband and sons - Prince William and Prince Harry, who meant the world to her. "Diana loved her boys; they were everything to her. She would have been devastated at what is going on between them today," Jenni added. The initial contact with Jenni regarding training the "most famous woman in the world" came through a call from Diana's butler, Paul Burrell, which left Jenni feeling incredibly daunted at the prospect. Training with Diana for three hours weekly, Jenni observed as the Princess worked on her fitness and witnessed a transformation, as Diana grew into a new chapter filled with confidence despite her tribulations.

'I've kept Diana's secrets for years - her words after divorce were devastating'

Princess Diana's former personal trainer, who worked with the royal for the last six years of her life, has opened up about their relationship - and why she used to beg the Princess not to tell her secrets Diana's former personal trainer used to plead with her not to share her secrets - for a heartbreaking reason. Jenni Rivett, 65, worked with Princess Diana during what was likely the most tumultuous period of the royal's life, as her marriage publicly broke down. ‌ Diana and King Charles - then Prince of Wales - were engulfed in a PR battle often dubbed the 'War of the Waleses' as they tried to get their side of things across to the public during their acrimonious separation. ‌ The personal trainer was a first-hand witness to Diana's life during this difficult period, as she worked with her for six years between 1991 and 1997 - right up until the royal's untimely and tragic death, with the pair booked in to continue their workout sessions after Diana was due to return. Diana died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997 while holidaying with her then boyfriend Dodi Fayed. Her driver was drunk and crashed the vehicle while trying to get away from paparazzi who were chasing the car. All but one passenger died in the accident. Jenni and Diana were due to have some training sessions just days later - but they never came. The South African trainer received the heartbreaking news that her long-time client had died through a pal - and it's taken her nearly three decades to feel like she can discuss Diana and the wonderful memories they shared. The pair shared a close relationship, Jenni told the Mail Online, but on occasion, she would plead with Diana not to tell her private details of her life, for a seriously devastating reason. ‌ "Sometimes Diana would tell me things so personal I would ask her: 'Please don't say any more because if it ends up in the papers tomorrow, you will think it was me.' "I would give her the very best advice I could, yet I'd pinch myself – here I am, consultant to the Royal Family! But saying that, I knew my place. I never brought up subjects myself, I never overstepped the line, and I think she appreciated that," Jenni said. ‌ She also revealed that Diana never wanted to end up on the path she ended up walking and that all that had really mattered to the Princess was her husband and sons - Prince William and Prince Harry, who were "everything to her". "Diana loved her boys; they were everything to her. She would have been devastated at what is going on between them today," the personal trainer added. Jenni first got the call that the most famous woman in the world wanted to work through her from Diana's butler, Paul Burrell, and she admitted that she was more than a bit intimidated when she heard the news. Working three hours a week with Diana to get her fitness to the best it could be, she watched the Princess transform through her heartbreak, and step into a new, confident chapter.

Community rallies to support Durno family after 'devastating' fire

An Aberdeenshire community has rallied round a family following a devastating fire at their home. Jenni Smith and Blair Tennant's family home in Durno, near Inverurie, went up in flames on Sunday afternoon. The family-of-six said they were 'heartbroken' to have lost their home and all of their belongings. But amid the tragedy, they have been 'overwhelmed' by the support shown to them by their local community. 'We are truly heartbroken and cannot put into words how upsetting this has been for us,' Jenni told The Press and Journal. 'Losing everything we own, including memories and keepsakes that can never be replaced is incredibly hard. 'We are still in compete shock. 'It has not quite sunk in yet how catastrophic it has been for us all. 'We are though overwhelmed with the support given to us from the residents of Durno, surrounding villages, the Inverurie community and most of all our family and friends.' Though she did not know the family personally, Durno resident Nicola Craigen decided to start a fundraiser to support them. Almost £6,000 has been donated so far. Jenni added: 'Nicola, whom we have never met before, kindly set up a GoFundMe page for our family. 'We are so grateful for that and the to the people who have generously donated money, clothes, toys and much more. 'We can't express how much this means to us. 'It's so humbling to know there are so many kind people out there.' Nicola came home on Sunday afternoon to find fire engines blocking the road and smoke rising from her neighbour's roof. It is understood the fire started in a van and quickly spread to the house, where the couple lived with children Blair, Kian, Meadow and Sunday-Maë. 'It was a terrible shock,' Nicola said. 'Once it took hold, it progressed quite quickly. 'The thing that struck me the most was the sound of all the smoke alarms going off. 'I thought of starting a Go Fund Me to help the family and cheer them up. 'It could happen to anyone.' Luckily, nobody was injured as a result of the fire but the young family have been forced to start over. As well as donations to the online fundraiser, neighbours and friends have dropped off clothes, toys and other essential items. Jenni added: 'We would like to especially thank our neighbours Susan and Willie Penny for their support on the day of the fire and since. 'They are the best neighbours anyone could wish for. 'Julie Nash and her family have also taken in donations at their house for us and looked after our dogs. 'We'd like to thank so many people for their kindness towards us at this difficult time.' The fire service dispatched four crews to the property at the weekend. A spokesperson said: 'We were alerted at 2.45pm on Sunday June 8 to reports of a house fire in Durno. 'We sent four appliances to the scene, where firefighters worked to extinguish a fire affecting the roof space. 'There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.' The family said they are still in shock after the blaze. 'We have a long road in front of us but most importantly we have each other and the best support from family and friends,' Jenni said.
