Proactive Steps Are More Important

Elham Aboul Fateh A recent rumour has raised concerns about widespread infections and deaths in poultry farms. Some have also spoken of widespread disease and a lack of vaccinations. With the rapid spread of the news on social media, concern among everyone—breeders, traders, and consumers—grew. However, an official response came quickly from the Ministry of Agriculture and General Organization For Veterinary Services to deny this rumor. They announced that no unnatural deaths had been recorded, and that all veterinary vaccinations are available in all governorates. Veterinary monitoring teams are monitoring farm conditions daily, and no epidemic outbreaks have been detected. The swift response came in a timely manner to reassure everyone and dismiss the malicious rumor. This is undoubtedly a good thing. But amid these reassurances, the question remains: How do we prevent these concerns from recurring? And when do we move from reaction to proactive planning? The poultry industry in Egypt has made great strides in recent years, and we have reached self-sufficiency. There are even exports to Arab and African markets. However, to date, significant challenges are facing farmers, such as high costs, sometimes difficult access to vaccinations, and a lack of awareness in some areas. It is important to strive to achieve strong and stable self-sufficiency in poultry, by supporting farmers, as 80% of production comes from them in addition to developing breeding systems to be safer and more productive and ensuring the availability of feed and vaccinations at reasonable prices. Transparency must be ensured, and any health problems that arise in any region must be immediately reported. Coordination must be maintained among all responsible authorities, and farmers must not be left to face challenges alone. The rumor was dismissed, and the reassurances came just in time. However, the real work must begin to develop this industry, which represents a fundamental pillar of food security. What is required is not only to respond to crises, but also to prepare for them before they begin, and to work toward achieving strong self-sufficiency that every farmer and every consumer can feel. read more Analysis- Turkey Has 0 Regional Allies... Thank you, Mr. President

Elham Aboul Fateh President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced serious and swift measures, to be implemented immediately, during the Labor Day celebrations, which I was honored to attend on Saturday. The measures include raising the minimum emergency fund benefit from EGP 600 to EGP 1,500, directing the House of Representatives to expedite discussions on the new labor law, and supporting the establishment of an integrated training center to prepare youth for the labor market according to international standards, launching a national strategy to promote the culture of occupational safety and secure the work environment, increasing employment among women and disabled ones, and expanding inspections of workplaces to enforce the minimum wage. The President's remarks were not merely a traditional salute to workers, but rather practical measures that touch the daily lives of Egyptian workers. They affirm that the state is not satisfied with symbolic honors, but is working to improve the conditions of those who shape this country's economy. The choice of Suez as the venue for the celebration was excellent since the city is witnessing a major industrial boom, and during the celebration, we witnessed a number of important projects in the economic zone northwest of the Gulf of Suez. The message we get from this day is that production continues, factories are being built, and the state is betting on industry as a path to true economic stability. The president spoke in clear and direct language, linking the workers' appreciation to actions on the ground, in workshops and factories, where daily life is conducted despite the challenges. He said clearly, "Young people don't need promises, but rather real actions." President Sisi emphasized that workers must feel that their rights are protected and that there are policies to protect their efforts and guarantee them a fair life in light of the high cost of living and the challenges we all face. This year's celebration was more than just an occasion. It was a declaration that the state continues to support those who work hard and strive, building with them every brick on the road to the new republic. To every worker, the message was clear: You are not alone, and the state sees you and is working with you for a better tomorrow. Thank you, Mr. President. read more Analysis- Turkey Has 0 Regional Allies... Why? Analysis: Russia, Turkey... Libya in Return For Syria? Analysis: Who Will Gain Trump's Peace Plan Fruits? Ahead of Sham El-Nessim, where is the Zoo?

Elham Aboul Fateh Happy Sham El Nessim! Since childhood, we've been accustomed to gathering on this day. We begin by coloring eggs and eating feseekh, herring, onions, lettuce, and mallow. This ritual began more than 5,000 years ago in Egypt. It has spread and become known as Easter throughout the world. But privacy remains in Egypt, and so does beauty. On this day, families head out to open areas and parks. Many of our people miss the zoo, Orman Gardens, and other large parks where they can spend this day at a low cost, eating feseekh (fish), enjoying nature, trees, and plants, and children playing with animals. The zoo was established in 1891 and was one of the most beautiful zoos, housing rare species of animals and plants. At that time, it was considered one of the best zoos in the world. However, it was exposed to numerous changes and neglect over the years. The government has also announced that next Eid, the zoo will be back with its various animals and rare trees, on the same space. We look forward to the reopening of this unique global attraction. Since Pharaonic ages, Sham El-Nessim has been a sacred holiday, symbolizing the beginning of spring and renewal. It is celebrated by going out to enjoy nature, which is what happens today. Egyptian families still spend the day in parks and open spaces, and children enjoy playing. Feseekh and herring are on every table and in every home. Despite doctors' warnings about the dangers of feseekh, we cannot stop eating it, as it has a special taste and flavor that all Egyptians like... and it is the most important Sham El Nessim ritual. I hope that next year the gardens will be fully developed to receive th Egyptians, and that the zoo will regain its beauty and splendor, and that the rare animals it has lost will return, so that we can celebrate there as we always did, with our families and friends. Sham El-Nessim is not just a holiday we celebrate; it is a beautiful state of joy and happiness in our hearts, where we forget all the worries and pressures of life. May God grant us eternal joy. Happy Spring and a Happy returns. read more Analysis- Turkey Has 0 Regional Allies... Why? Analysis: Russia, Turkey... Libya in Return For Syria? Analysis: Who Will Gain Trump's Peace Plan Fruits? Glad Tidings

Elham Aboul Fateh Glad tidings announced by the Prime Minister that this summer will be without power outages. The government will bear significant financial burdens for not shedding loads. We hope this promise is fulfilled, as many problems occur due to power outages. This statement gave us hope as we suffered from the frequent power outages over the past two years, which greatly affected our lives. Every summer, a power outage marked the beginning of daily suffering. I will never forget what happened in July 2023, when the power cut hit Umm Al-Masryeen Hospital in Giza, forcing the transfer of five critically patients, to other hospitals to ensure continuity of care. In March 2023, when El Mahalla General Hospital suffered a sudden power outage, patients were transferred from intensive care units to other hospitals with transformers for their safety. When the power cuts out, homes turn into ovens. Children sleep sweating, the sick and elderly suffocate from the heat, devices break down, food spoils, elevators break down, a hospital loses patients, and livelihoods are cut off because some lose their jobs due to the power outage. Others suffer psychologically due to the feeling of instability they experience daily. This suffering affects everyone's life, especially in the intense heat. Electricity is not a luxury, but a basic necessity of life. Its presence means comfort and safety. A power outage, even for short periods, can cause significant harm to people and increase their suffering. We have exams coming up and the heat is intense. The good news that the Prime Minister announced is very good, especially since the government will bear these costs. We hope that there will be campaigns to rationalize consumption despite the lack of power outages. I know that electricity fees have increased, and this high price pushes us to rationalize consumption, but the existence of campaigns to rationalize consumption is very important. We have to thank the Prime Minister and the government for promising that this summer will at least be free of power outages and suffering. The government will certainly fullfil its promise, and this summer will be different from previous ones. read more Analysis- Turkey Has 0 Regional Allies... Why? Analysis: Russia, Turkey... Well Done, Mr. President

Elham Aboul Fateh "This year's Ramadan drama has offered a lot of soap opras, but nothing would have happened if there were some serious topics." With these words, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expressed the feelings of citizens who are watching soap operas these days. It was a frank and respectful call for drama productions that respect traditions, customs, and the sanctity of the holy month. But this doesn't mean that all dramas were bad. Most of them were good dramas that combated the theft of antiquities and discussed serious issues. However, some, including non-Egyptian channels, revolved around belly dancers, drugs, and crime. All people want purposeful drama, because it is the soft power capable of influencing society. However, we need purposeful dramas that elevate their standards and values, highlight the Egyptian people, the proud bearers of their ancient civilization, and highlight their values and morals. We hope to see dramatic works that embody Egyptian heroism in the fields of science, war, and peace. This is what countries that strive to build strong new generations do, fostering a sense of belonging, a desire to work, and ambition for the future. Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly immediately implemented the President's directives and began work on developing a plan to review the content of upcoming drama productions. The goal is to present themes that reflect Egypt's new identity and support the values we seek to instill in society, such as hard work, belonging, and building the future with a spirit of seriousness and commitment. Having a look at this year's Ramadan drama, the question remains: What have these works offered us? What principles and values have they instilled? Where is the soap operas that expressed the spirit of the new republic? And where is the soap operas that embodied the historical moment we are currently experiencing? I would have loved to see a series addressing the challenges and achievements of building the new administrative capital, or the heroism of Egyptians in supporting Gaza, or a work documenting the efforts made to develop Sinai, or other topics that reflect the true image of Egypt; a modern Egypt that looks with all its energy to the future, without forgetting its identity and values. I'm sure that the presidential directives, which the Prime Minister is closely monitoring, will make this coming Ramadan a season with a different flavor: one of hard work and diligence, respect, and adherence to public morals. We want drama that showcases the true essence of the authentic Egyptian people, a nation of civilization and generosity. We want drama that reflects the features of the new Egypt, contributes to building awareness, and restores Egyptian drama to its status as a soft power that influences society and contributes to its renaissance and progress. Happy returns for Egypt, its leadership and people. read more Analysis- Turkey Has 0 Regional Allies... Why? Analysis: Russia, Turkey... Libya in Return For Syria?
