Why has Roman Reigns disappeared from WWE? Here are 3 BIG reasons behind his absence
WWE Universe has been anticipating the comeback of Roman Reigns because the company has not seen him since WrestleMania. Other stars are engaged in a storyline with Seth Rollins, and Reigns seems to be waiting to start it until further notice. Now, it is about time we explore the main reasons as to why Roman Reigns stayed long off WWE.
Since last appearing on RAW after the WrestleMania 41, the Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns has been the subject of anticipation among WWE Universe awaiting his comeback. He has not appeared in a series plot since then and is on hiatus with the WWE programming.
Interestingly, CM Punk was given an assault at very much the same period as Roman Reigns. But Punk is already back and has taken part in the major storylines on the RAW brand.
Perhaps one of the reasons as to why Roman is kept off the TV is in order to allow other superstars to get the necessary limelight especially during current feuds involving Seth Rollins group. Such rivalries already feature names such as LA Knight, Penta, and Sami Zayn but the presence of Roman might mute such adversaries.
Possibly, another cause can be the focus on the brutal spear of Bron Breakker. Following WrestleMania, Roman tried to assail Seth Rollins during RAW but got disposed of by Breakker using a blasting spear. Since then, Roman has not been seen on TV, perhaps in view to highlight the effects of that occasion implying the physical and psychological effects.
WWE can be building a story in the sense that Bron Breakker spear did not only hurt Roman Reigns physically, but also psychologically. The extent to which his absence is prolonged assists in selling the legitimacy of the attack and establishes Breakker as a legitimate entity to be reckoned with in main event circles.
On the promotional posters of SummerSlam 2025, the main character is Romans Reigns, who will be a two-night affair in 2025. This is a very strong indication of Roman coming back and being more active towards that period of WWE.
