Seth Rollins' WWE career follows a bizarre 5-year security trend
Image via WWE An interesting trend about Seth Rollins ' WWE career over the last fifteen years came to light. Seth Rollins has been credited as a true workhorse of WWE's modern era. Although he had the help of many allies, that did not overshadow his exceptional in-ring acumen, ability to deliver each night, and become a marquee WWE superstar. However, there has been a trend that has been prevalent in Rollins' WWE tenure over the years, which was noticed recently and is interesting to note. Seth Rollins has had backup in his career for the last fifteen years Seth Rollins' rise as a top-tier singles WWE star began in 2014 when he won the Money in the Bank ladder match. Heading into 2015, he was backed by the Authority faction led by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. To protect their golden goose, J&J Security, comprising Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury, were assigned as his backup, with Kane as well, for a while. This led to Rollins securing major wins and retaining his WWE title on numerous occasions. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic era, Rollins turned heel after several years of portraying a babyface. This time, his wall of protection was the dominant tag team, AOP, and was also joined by his disciple, Buddy Matthews, during his time as 'The Monday Night Messiah.' The faction was a formidable unit that also assisted Rollins on numerous occasions. Fast-forward another five years in today's landscape, The Visionary once again has been backed by a security force of dominant stars. Under the guidance of The Wiseman, Paul Heyman, Rollins formed the faction with him and Bron Breakker after WrestleMania 41. They then added Big Bronson Reed, who made his return from injury at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event in May 2025. The cohesive unit has been wreaking havoc on both RAW and SmackDown, helping Rollins become a two-time Mr. Money in the Bank this year. The Revolutionary's interesting pattern of having security forces around him has taken his career ahead each time. With the Money in the Bank now in his grasp due to his faction's assistance, it can be assumed that the future might see Seth Rollins ruling the roost as the new World Champion to further his dominance. WWE Has Discussed Adding New Members To Fan-Favorite Faction: Report
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A new report suggests that the dominant WWE faction led by Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman could be expanding. The group recently added powerhouse Bronson Reed to its ranks. According to two more notable names have been internally pitched to join the group. Current NXT star Ethan Page and recent free agent Ricky Starks are reportedly being considered. A History Of Ricky Starks Ricky Starks is one of the most prominent free agents in professional wrestling today. He has never had a formal run under a main WWE contract. Starks first rose to prominence in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), where he became the inaugural NWA World Television Champion. He then joined All Elite Wrestling, where his charisma made him a breakout star. In AEW, Starks was a former FTW Champion and the winner of the 2023 Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament. He became a free agent in early 2025 after his AEW contract expired. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation The WWE Run Of Ethan Page "All Ego" Ethan Page is a decorated veteran who is a relative newcomer to the WWE system. He built his reputation in promotions like Ring of Honor and a lengthy, successful run in TNA. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 19: Seth Rollins flips off the ropes while wrestling Roman Reigns Triple Threat match during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 19, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 19: Seth Rollins flips off the ropes while wrestling Roman Reigns Triple Threat match during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 19, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Page spent several years in AEW before his contract expired at the end of 2024. He made his surprise debut for WWE on the NXT brand in early 2025. He has since become a featured star on the Tuesday night show. His potential call-up to join the Raw faction would be a rapid ascent to the main roster. These internal discussions suggest WWE sees the new faction as a major project. The potential addition of two accomplished stars like Starks and Page would make the group an even more formidable force. Rollins' WWE career has been defined by the factions he has both led and destroyed. He debuted as the "Architect" of The Shield alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, orchestrating their dominance before infamously betraying them to join The Authority. As Triple H's chosen "Future of WWE," this alliance propelled him to his first WWE Championship in the "Heist of the Century" at WrestleMania 31. Years later, he transformed into the cult-like "Monday Night Messiah," leading a faction of disciples that included Murphy and AOP to enforce his vision on Monday Night Raw. 'Wrestlers are not writers': Former champion reacts to The Undertaker potentially joining WWE's creative team
The Undertaker is one the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling. The Hall of Famer, who retired from in-ring competition in 2020, was an inseparable part of WWE programming across eras. 'The Deadman' is now planning to join the company's creative team. Veteran wrestler Konnan recently revealed on his podcast that 'Taker was backstage at Money in the Bank and plans to be more involved in the creative process. This has created a great deal of buzz in the industry. However, former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Heavyweight Champion Vince Russo isn't too excited about the same. Vince Russo weighs in on The Undertaker potentially joining the WWE creative team Vince Russo, who has worked with promotions such as WWE and WCW, does not 'think much' about The Undertaker potentially joining the creative team. According to him, 'writing is a craft' and not everyone can do it. He further said 'wrestlers are not writers' 'Unless he is going to "REALLY" be involved on a Full-Time basis, I don't think much. Wrestlers ARE NOT WRITERS. Writing is a Craft---not just anybody can do it,' he told Indiatimes. His comments come at a time when the WWE main roster creative team, led by Triple H, has come under fire for some of its decisions. The finish of the John Cena-Cody Rhodes match at WrestleMania 41 in particular received a great deal of flak. The dying moments of the contest saw 'The Franchise Player' beat his opponent with help from rapper Travis Scott. The Rock, who played a crucial role in Cena's heel turn and this storyline, was expected to appear but that did not happen. This further diluted the impact of the feud. It remains to be seen whether The Undertaker is able to add value to the creative team if and when he joins it. About The Undertaker The Undertaker made his debut at Survivor Series 1990 and soon emerged as the undisputed 'Phenom' of the WWE. During a career that spanned over three decades, he feuded with the likes of Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels and wrote his name in the history books. He also locked horns with the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, Ric Flair, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, and the late Bray Wyatt. 'Taker was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022.
