Trish Stratus' greatest hits: 4 WWE moments that made her a legend

Image via WWE Trish Stratus' WWE career had some defining moments that became highly memorable for years. Trish Stratus is one of the most renowned female WWE superstars of all time. She came into the business at a time when women did not get significant opportunities. Yet, Stratus defied the odds and, with her in-ring skills, presentation, and ability to shatter glass ceilings, became a prominent figure in the industry. In doing so, she paved the way for future generations of women, who achieved major feats, including main-eventing WWE's premier event, WrestleMania. With a Hall of Fame career that had a long-lasting legacy, here are the three moments that became iconic with her in WWE: 4. Betraying Chris Jericho at WrestleMania — WrestlePurists (@WrestlePurists) Chris Jericho and Christian had a bet to impress top WWE superstars, Trish Stratus and Lita, respectively. Stratus heard about it in a backstage segment and made a plan to get back at Y2J. In a match between him and Christian at WrestleMania XX, Stratus betrayed him and aligned with Christian by sealing it with a kiss on the stage, which became a memorable moment in WWE. 3. Standing up to the evil boss Vince McMahon Trish Stratus started gaining major attention during her pairing with then-WWE owner Vince McMahon. However, cracks began to emerge in their affair, and McMahon embarrassed her on multiple occasions, including making her bark like a dog and asking her to remove her clothes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo However, at WrestleMania 17, Stratus finally stood up to him and slapped him outside the ring to end their alliance. 2. Main eventing Monday Night RAW Trish Stratus and Lita were among the top two female WWE superstars during the mid-2000s. They were captivating the audience with their rivalry and respective in-ring acumen and became prominent fixtures. This led to a historic feat in 2004 when Stratus and Lita became the first women to main event RAW in a Women's title match. While she dropped her title to Lita, it was a game-changing night for her career and women in WWE. 1. Winning her seventh WWE Women's title Trish Stratus decided to end her full-time WWE career at the 2006 Unforgiven event, which took place in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. She challenged her iconic rival, Lita, for the WWE Women's Championship. Following a highly memorable showdown, Stratus made her tap out of the Sharpshooter and won her seventh title to put an end to a historic career. Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed to get new stablemates in two prominent NXT stars

Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman's new faction (Image via WWE) Seth Rollins is rolling into WWE as one of the biggest stars of the division and has shown through his hard work and domineering personality how fortune truly favors the brave. Recently, after the infamous Paul Heyman betrayal that left not just fans, but also Roman Reigns and CM Punk completely shocked, Rollins has found a new group to have his back. Although who knows when betrayal strikes again. But for now, looks like this new stable is looking to add more stablemates, and NXT stars Ethan Page and Ricky Saints are said to be in the mix. Former and current NXT North American Champions could join Seth Rollins' stable The Former NXT North American Champion, Ricky Saints, who recently lost his title to the current NXT North American Champion, Ethan Page, are both in consideration to join Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman's brand new stable. Rollins already has Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on his side, and could be adding two more to the equation. Fightful had previously reported that WWE had no plans on adding more members to the stable, at least until the WrestleMania weekend. But things seem to have changed after the Saturday Night Main Event episode back in May, when Bronson Reed joined Rollins and Breakker inside the ring to take out CM Punk. Paul Heyman is, of course, also a part of this group after he betrayed not only Roman Reigns but also CM Punk and changed the course of their storyline to a completely different route. And now, according to Bodyslam, WWE is planning on adding more members to this exciting new stable. And the two NXT stars who recently fought it out amongst each other are their top choices for the job. Both Ethan Page and Ricky Saints are exceptional wrestlers and have taken the NXT crowd by storm. So it is not a surprise that WWE is planning to make a shift and bring them to the big leagues. While this could mean exciting new things happening inside the Stamford-based promotion, things are not set in stone. This stable has a lot of potential, and adding new stars to the mix could go either way. Until then, fans can enjoy Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman's brand new stable as it is, and keep their fingers crossed for what comes next. Charlotte Flair doubts another women's WrestleMania main event will ever happen

Charlotte Flair does not see a WrestleMania main event for women happening in the future. Charlotte Flair has become one of the most accomplished superstars of this generation. She has claimed 14 World titles and major accolades throughout her WWE career. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now A huge milestone she etched in her resume was back in 2019, when she became a part of the first-ever women's main event at WrestleMania 35. Despite being a main eventer herself, Flair does not see that incredible sight recreated in the future. Charlotte Flair gives her take on a women's WrestleMania main event not happening again In a recent interview with Games with Names, Charlotte Flair spoke about women getting another chance at main eventing WrestleMania. The Queen stated that it would never happen again unless WWE reverted to a one-night format for The Show of Shows. She said, 'It was the main event of only one night [Becky v Ronda v Charlotte], now we have two nights. So it's a big deal, like now you have two nights, two different opportunities, so that being the main event of one night was huge. Like it'll never happen again, unless we go to one night.' Charlotte Flair competed in the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event. It was a 'Winner Take All' triple-threat match between her, , and at WrestleMania 35. Rousey walked into the match as the RAW Women's Champion, while Flair was the SmackDown Women's Champion. The trio delivered a highly captivating showdown that ended in Lynch becoming a double champion and taking her fame to unprecedented heights. This was the last Mania under the one-night era. Furthermore, two women got a chance to main event The Showcase of the Immortals under its two-day format. Two years after Lynch won the titles in grand fashion, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair competed in the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 37. Moreover, it was two black women to headline the match, which made it even more significant, and saw Belair winning the match and the SmackDown Women's title. With the history etching two remarkable women's WrestleMania main events, it remains to be seen if the current crop of talent can prove Flair's statement to be wrong and achieve that same prestigious accolade. Bayley Returns On WWE RAW

Bayley is officially back. During Monday's episode of WWE RAW, Bayley returned, and sent a big message to Becky Lynch. Bayley's return came after a back-and-forth between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria. Advertisement Valkyria came down to the ring to face Lynch, and while Lynch was taunting her, Bayley ambushed the reigning WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion. Bayley laid in some punches to Lynch, then threw her out of the ring. Lynch ran into Valkyria, and quickly ran off before anything else could happen. For Bayley, it's the first time we've seen her since Lynch attacked her at WWE WrestleMania 41. Lynch's attack allowed her to team up with Valkyria, and they promptly won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships the night after. After that, Lynch would subsequently attack Valkyria after the pair lost the titles. While it's unknown exactly what Bayley will be up to, her intent seems clear. With Lynch also now having a singles title to go after, Bayley seems ready to immediately throw herself into the picture. Karrion Kross wants to see a multi-time AEW Champion make his way back to WWE. WWE superstar Karrion Kross recently appeared on Battleground Podcast to talk about his former gimmick and WrestleMania promo among other things. During the conversation, the hosts asked Kross about AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. Advertisement 'Jon's a former WWE champion,' he said. 'He's competed and performed with some of the best people in the world. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, The Shield. I didn't know him. I put out a promo attempting to pique intrigue to see if that's a match people wanted. They wanted it. He didn't know me. I didn't know him.' Karrion Kross reveals Jon Moxley complimented his work 'I really wanted to work with him as soon as I found out that he wasn't signed, and he showed up. We didn't know each other. We worked, and then as soon as we got backstage, it feels weird talking about somebody else giving you compliments about your work. It is. But he was very complimentary, and that's where that conversation began and not to stir the pot, but I just, I want Jon to be happy wherever he is. 'I do hope one day. I do hope one day that he does come back to WWE because I think it would be insane. I think it would be insane, and I would love to compete with him here. I would love to compete with him here so we can finish what we started. That's what I will say.' [H/T Fightful] Advertisement Though the pair didn't meet in a WWE ring, Karrion Kross and Jon Moxley did cross paths at FSW Natural Born Killers on July 5, 2019, a month after Moxley's AEW in-ring debut against Joey Janela at the promotion's inaugural Fyter Fest event.
