William 'ageing like fine wine' as Kate 'only has eyes' for future king
Prince William celebrates his 43rd birthday today, and fans have claimed he is 'ageing like a fine wine' and spotted an adorable moment the Prince of Wales shared with Kate Middleton
Royal fans say Prince William is 'ageing like a fine wine' and spotted an adorable detail about his marriage to Kate Middleton. The Prince of Wales is celebrating his 43rd birthday today (Saturday, June 21), but at an event earlier this week, people were delighted to see the future king grinning at his wife.
The couple appeared united as they attended the Order of the Garter in Windsor on Monday (June 16), where William sported the dark blue velvet mantles, the insignia of the order, and the distinctive feathered bonnet. Meanwhile, Kate stunned in an all-white ensemble, including a Self-Portrait dress and matching wide-brim hat.
In a post to X following the occasion, the Prince and Princess of Wales ' official account said: "A pleasure attending the Order of the Garter today in Windsor.
"A brilliant celebration of tradition, service and duty. Thank you to everyone involved."
Fans were quick to comment on the post, with one person writing: "Those two are aging like a fine wine!"
Meanwhile, others spotted the look of 'true love' Princess Kate appeared to be giving her husband.
One wrote: "20+ years & 3 adorable children[...] Catherine only has eyes for Prince William. This is true love."
However, not everyone was enamoured with William's look.
"Lovely. However, William needs gone of that beard. Makes him look old," one person wrote.
Meanwhile someone else added: "What a treat for us Royal watchers! Princess Catherine looks absolutely stunning and Prince William as handsome as ever!"
Another fan added: "Prince William and Princess Catherine look absolutely stunning and majestic!!"
Fans may now be speculating as to whether William's estranged brother, Prince Harry, will wish him a happy birthday this year.
The brothers are not thought to be on speaking terms, however the Duke of Sussex received a surprise birthday message from the various members of the Firm on social media.
Taking to X, the Royal Family shared a snap of a smiling Harry to mark his 40th birthday. The message, complete with a cake emoji, said: 'Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!'
Meanwhile, William and Kate's X account shared an almost identical message.
It read: 'Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!'
At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether Harry will return the favour for his brother's birthday.
Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales and the couple's three children paid tribute to William earlier this month to mark Father's Day.
On the Prince and Princess of Wales' official X page, a post read: "Happy Father's Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L," referring to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, aged 11, 10 and seven respectively.

David and Victoria Beckham hurt by 'pointed Nicola and Brooklyn's 'pointed' move
The ongoing feud between David and Victoria Beckham and their son Brooklyn is escalating, as friends of the family have slammed Brooklyn's wife Nicola for hurting the family with her 'pointed' moves The ongoing feud between the Beckhams and their son Brooklyn is only escalating, with friends of David and Victoria's reportedly accusing Nicola Peltz of "deliberately" rubbing it in. Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola, 30, have distanced themselves from Victoria and David, following a series of snubs. Although their eldest son Brooklyn and his nepo-baby wife Nicola are keeping quiet on the situation, as are the Beckhams, the couple have been notably absent from a slew of family-centred events and social media posts – or lack thereof – have spoken volumes. The previously close-knit family has gone ahead with events, including David's 50th birthday celebrations and his long-awaited knighthood, but Brooklyn and Nicola have shunned it all by not turning up to events or acknowledging the special occasions on social media. Meanwhile, the pair have publicly praised Nicola's parents numerous times on social media. Back in April, the couple posted an Easter basket they received from her parents, with the pair issuing a 'thank-you' to them on Instagram – despite Brooklyn completely ignoring his mum on Mother's Day just weeks before. Father's Day also went without mention from Brooklyn, but Nicola gushed over her father, billionaire businessman and investor Nelson Peltz. According to a friend of the couple, it has been a particularly painful time for the Beckhams. Speaking to the Mail, a source said: "It all feels very pointed. Like Brooklyn and Nicola are deliberately trying to rub David and Victoria's noses in it." Elsewhere, a separate source recently claimed that the Beckhams' attempts to support their kids to stand on their own two feet has been taken as "tight" by the Peltzes. But, after Nicola's parents gifted her money to buy a £10.5 million mansion in Los Angeles, another source stated Victoria is concerned that her son is trapped. An insider said that the family were hoping his move to America wouldn't be "permanent", but their "house purchase quashes any last hopes". And with both Nicola and Brooklyn named on the house, he could find it difficult to up and move. A source told the Mirror: "This house has nothing to do with family dynamics. Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for LA Galaxy. "During that time, he attended school in LA for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. LA has always felt like home to him." But Victoria and David, who both come from working class backgrounds, have always put emphasis on the need for independence. The source added: "When it came to buying this house, of course they weren't just going to hand their son millions of pounds — what sort of message does that send?" However, a source close to Brooklyn has slammed the claims as "cruel and baseless". They claimed: "It's disappointing—and frankly absurd—that anyone would try to twist Nicola and Brooklyn's marriage, and this meaningful milestone of home ownership, into something toxic. "Their relationship is grounded in love, respect, and commitment. The suggestion that Brooklyn is 'trapped' isn't just false—it's a deliberately cruel and baseless narrative aimed at undermining a strong, loving marriage.'

Kate shares adorable photo of William with new puppies to mark his 43rd birthday
The Princess of Wales has shared an adorable new photo to mark husband Prince William's birthday. The Prince of Wales turns 43 today and to celebrate, the official Kensington Royal account posted a picture of him posing with the family dog Orla - and her new puppies. The black cocker spaniel - gifted to the family by Kate's brother James Middleton in 2020 - recently gave birth to four puppies. The photo of William, Orla and her brood was taken by the Princess in Windsor earlier this month. The caption reads: "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!" King Charles and Queen Camilla have also wished William a happy birthday. The couple posted a photo on their official Instagram page that shows him smiling widely while sat on a rock wall. It is not known exactly how the heir to the throne is celebrating today. Bu he will surely be swapping any work matters for precious family time with the Princess of Wales and their children. A year ago, William was in a very different place, as wife Kate was still undergoing chemotherapy treatment after her cancer diagnosis. At the same time, his father the King has also been diagnosed with the disease. Not only was he on hand to support them both, but he also proved to be a rock for his three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. He memorably described 2024 as "brutal" and significantly one of the "hardest of his life". But with Kate now in remission, things look different 12 months on as he turns a year older, focus shifts slightly to duty. In the past week, not only has he been at Trooing and Garter Day but also Royal Ascot and carried out a visit alongside actress Cate Blanchett to Colorifix - a Norwich-based company which creates sustainable dye for clothing, and is one of his Earthshot Prize finalists. And former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond tells the Mirror that William is "extremely serious" when it comes to the job that his life has given him. She explained: "As he himself has said, if he can't make some kind of difference, some kind of impact on issues he cares so deeply about – then what is the point of being a prince or of having such a high profile platform? "So, now that the crisis of the past 18 months has eased, he seems to be working pretty much flat out for much of the time, and I'm sure that will continue." But despite his work and duty, there is one thing that always comes first for William as well as wife Kate - family. William is a very hands-on parent, doing the school run and ferrying the kids to their various after-school sports clubs and activities. Putting family first was no more so evident than at Easter earlier this year when he and his family skipped the traditional Easter Sunday church service with the King and Queen at Windsor to spend precious family time together - all with the King's blessing. And even if his schedule may seem busier, Jennie believes this family time is something William will always make a priority. She said: "These years are a period when, without the never-ending state duties of a monarch, he can be allowed to concentrate rather more fully on his wife and children. So I think school holidays will continue to be ring-fenced as much as possible, even if he is criticised for doing so. "You just have to look at the pictures of William and his children released for Father's Day to see how much they adore him and how close they are as a family. This tall, handsome, smiling man is their dad and their protector. And William would never want to put that in any jeopardy."
