Princess Eugenie Subtly Forms Alliance With William as She Distances Herself From ‘Close' Cousin Harry

Yahoo14-06-2025

The British Royal family drama has reached a point where it seems like everyone has to pick sides. And picking sides they are. From Princess Alexandra, to Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, Prince Andrew's kids, everyone's choosing what side they stand on in the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry. And considering Prince William seems ready to cut Prince Andrew off from the family forever, it might be surprising what side his daughter seems to be on.
Princess Eugenie is said to have formed an alliance with Prince William, one that comes from their shared passion for the environment. The Princess, who used to be very close with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has clearly chosen a side according to the New York Post and has strengthened her relationship with both William and Kate Middleton.

'Eugenie has been supportive of Harry and Meghan for years and was right there at the beginning of their relationship — but it has now soured,' a source told the Sun about the cousins. Eugenie had remained on close terms with Harry and Meghan long after their departure from royal duties, and is thought the be the only royal who has visited the couple in the United States. She was even featured in their 2022 Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan.
This comes amid long-standing reports that Prince William is crafting his own blueprint for the next generation of working royals. And that future very much does not include his uncle, Prince Andrew. 'Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew,' royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital, adding that the Prince holds 'a grudge against his disgraced uncle.'
'Andrew's future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back,' Fordwich also told the outlet. 'He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.'
However, his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are widely expected to take on larger roles when Prince William becomes King. The two are not working members of the royal family, but they step in unofficially when needed.
'When William ascends the throne, Beatrice and Eugenie will be valuable assets, and I'm certain they will get involved with royal duties. It makes perfect sense, because he will need them,' Ingrid Seward, royal author and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told Hello!.
Someone who will likely not have anything to do with Prince William's new ideas for the monarchy is his brother, Prince Harry. In fact, some reports even indicate William is ready to strip his brother and Meghan Markle of their titles. 'It's no secret William wants Harry more harshly dealt with. He thinks he has betrayed the family from top to bottom, which is the ultimate Windsor crime. It wouldn't take much to provoke him to flex his muscles when he is king,' a palace insider told The Daily Beast.
To recap, Princess Eugenie is yet another royal who is sticking with the monarchy on this feud. And she could become someone we see way more often as soon as Prince William becomes King.

Princess Kate posts sweet, puppy-filled birthday message for Prince William: See photo

Princess Kate is celebrating Prince William's 43rd birthday. The Princess of Wales, also 43, took to the family's Instagram account on Saturday, June 21 to celebrate her husband — who is first in line to the British throne — with a sweet, celebratory post filled with puppies. "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies! 🐾" Kate said in the caption, signing the message from the pair's 11-year-old son Prince George, Princess Charlotte, 10, and youngest son Prince Louis, 7. In the snap, William was wearing a green button-up shirt and casual blue jeans. Kate's post came after she missed an expected June 18 appearance at Royal Ascot, in what would have been her return to the horse-racing event after she battled cancer. Prince William's kids share cute 'before and after' photos for Father's Day The message arrived just a week after Trooping the Colour, the royal birthday celebration for Charles. William, Kate and their children all attended, with Kate and Charlotte both dressed in aqua. The birthday note comes after Kate shared a Father's Day message for William from the couple's three children on June 15. The post also included two photos of William with George, Charlotte and Louis. The first picture showed the four standing and posing together, casually coordinated in jeans and sweaters, while the second showed them all lying on the ground and laughing. "Happy Father's Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you!" the caption read. The Instagram post was also signed "G, C & L." Contributing: Brendan Morrow

Kate Middleton Reveals Adorable New Additions to the Family For Prince William's Birthday

THE RUNDOWN On June 21, Kate Middleton celebrated the 43rd birthday of the Prince of Wales with a traditional behind-the-scenes snapshot from her own camera roll. In the photo, Prince William is seated in the grass wearing jeans and a green button-down, playing with the four new puppies the family welcomed in May from their cocker spaniel, Orla. At least one of the puppies is the same shiny black as Orla, while the other two are a rich chocolate brown. 'Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!' the princess wrote in the caption. King Charles shared a more formal picture of William on the Royal Family's official X account with the caption, 'Happy Birthday to The Prince of Wales!' In the image, William is wearing a blue button-down and dark blue slacks and is seated against a rolling green hill. Last year, Kate shared a family picture to honor her husband, a shot of William jumping from a sand dune on Norfolk beach with their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis. 'Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much! Cx,' she wrote in the caption. The family was seen a week ago at Trooping the Colour, which serves as the public celebration of King Charles's birthday, though the sovereign's actual birthday is in November. For the event, Kate wore a bright blue ensemble that appeared to be an homage to the late Princess Diana. The Catherine Walker coat dress was made of aquamarine fabric bordered by white, with an asymmetrical white lapel. She wore a matching hat by Juliette Botterilll Millinery in the same robin's egg blue and accessorized with a pair of the late Queen Elizabeth's pearl drop earrings. Charlotte wore a blue dress as well, while the boys wore navy suits and red ties that matched their dad's bright red military uniform.
