Report: Why The Miz Is Going On A WWE Hiatus
It sounds like we won't be seeing The Miz on WWE programming for the immediate future.
Last week on WWE SmackDown, the company teased the breakup of the team of Carmelo Hayes and The Miz. It appears this was done to explain his absence from television for the time being.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Miz will be leaving for London soon to host the upcoming reboot of American Gladiators for Amazon Prime. It's unknown how long it will take to film an entire season of a show, so he could be gone for quite some time.
While it's cool to see this series return, Amazon Prime choosing to tape American Gladiators outside of America is certainly a choice. But we digress.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on The Miz's WWE status as it becomes available.

A recently released WWE star has commented on AEW running a show in his hometown, sparking conversation about his next move. The star in question is Joe Coffey, formerly of NXT's Gallus faction. AEW is scheduled to hold an episode of Dynamite in Glasgow, Scotland, in August. The event will take place at the OVO Hydro arena. Joe Coffey on AEW's Glasgow Show On a recent episode of the "Reffin' It Up" podcast (transcript from Fightful), Joe Coffey noted the significance of the upcoming AEW event. He pointed out that it is taking place in his hometown and in a familiar venue. "AEW have a show in my hometown in Glasgow on August 20th, which is very interesting," Coffey said. "And The Hydro, the same arena that ICW ran so, that's very interesting..." WWE Release and Scrapped Plans Joe Coffey, along with his Gallus stablemates Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, was released from his WWE contract on May 2, 2025. The Scottish faction had been a consistent presence on the NXT brand for several years. Following his release, Coffey revealed there had been discussions about Gallus moving to the main roster. The plan would have seen them working alongside fellow countryman Drew McIntyre. Joe Coffey's Current Status Despite the potential interest in the AEW Glasgow show, Coffey's immediate future has a significant hurdle. He has recently stated that he is "landlocked" in the United States. His work visa was tied to his WWE contract, complicating his ability to travel and wrestle internationally for now. Coffey first appeared in WWE during an NXT event at the Download Festival in 2018. He, his brother Mark, and Wolfgang officially formed Gallus on the January 9, 2019, episode of NXT UK. WWE broke into the United Kingdom wrestling scene, NXT UK, began with a championship tournament in January 2017, won by Tyler Bate. The brand officially launched its weekly show in October 2018, establishing a platform for European talent. NXT UK featured its own set of championships, including the prestigious United Kingdom Championship, famously held by GUNTHER (then WALTER) for a record 870 days. The brand developed future main roster stars like Rhea Ripley and Pete Dunne. In September 2022, the brand held its final event, Worlds Collide, unifying its titles with the NXT championships before going on hiatus. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

WWE Legend Rey Mysterio Explains Why He Will Never Turn Heel
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Rey Mysterio's professional wrestling career began in 1992. Throughout his entire run, his character has never been a full-blown heel. The 50-year-old WWE Hall of Famer won two world championships, both as a babyface. He currently leads the Latino World Order faction, which he revived before WrestleMania 39. Rey Mysterio on a Potential Heel Turn During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Rey Mysterio was asked what it would take for WWE fans to turn on him. He explained that his laid-back nature would make a transition to a heel persona very difficult. He said, "They (fans) would really have to, like, push me to the edge. I mean, even my wife says, like, 'I never see you get mad at anyone but me. Like, why do you not fight? You don't fight with anyone, but when you want to fight, you fight with me.' So, I mean, it would be very hard for me to get pushed." The Closest Rey Mysterio Came to Being a Heel Mysterio did recall one period in his career when he came close to working as a heel. This was during his time in WCW as a member of the Filthy Animals. Michael Tran/AFP via Getty Images He stated, "I think the only time that I've been closest to becoming a heel, or I guess we were just having fun cuz that's how we were, is Filthy Animals. That has been the closest, but overall, my personality, my demeanor is very laidback. So, I think it would be very hard." More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation Update on Rey Mysterio's In-Ring Return Mysterio is currently out of action with an injury. His last match was on April 18, 2025, episode of SmackDown. It was later revealed that he suffered an abductor muscle tear and a busted eardrum. On the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan provided an estimated timeline for Mysterio's return, claiming he will not be back until August. While away from the WWE ring, the legend was recently seen at the AAA Worlds Collide event. There, he paid homage to the history of Lucha Libre wrestling. He is already a Hall of Famer and truly one of the greatest to ever step foot inside of the ring. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

Is ‘Clarkson's Farm' returning for season 5? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on June 20, 2025, 19:30 IST Last updated June 20, 2025, 12:27 IST Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm has become a phenomenon on Amazon Prime Video, blending raw farming life with laugh-out-loud moments and a surprising dose of heart. After Season 4's rollercoaster of muddy fields, stubborn goats, and pub chaos, fans are itching to know: Will there be a Clarkson's Farm Season 5? Here's everything we know so far. Has Clarkson's Farm Season 5 Been Greenlit? Good news: Clarkson's Farm Season 5 is happening. Amazon Prime confirmed the renewal on November 5, 2024, with Jeremy Clarkson dropping the bombshell in a video where drones spelled out a giant '5' over Diddly Squat. Filming is in full swing, with Lisa Hogan, Jeremy's partner, posting glimpses of the crew hard at work. A recent X post from @DiddlySquatter caught Lisa joking about a newborn lamb stealing the show, hinting that the cameras are rolling on some adorable chaos. When Can We Expect Clarkson's Farm Season 5? No official release date yet, but let's piece together the clues. Past seasons dropped in June (Season 1), February (Season 2), and May (Seasons 3 and 4). Filming is ongoing, and editing takes time, so a May 2025 release floated by some fans on X seems optimistic. I'd bet on late spring or early summer 2026—think May or June—for the premiere. The production team's tight-lipped, but Lisa's updates suggest they're pushing hard to wrap filming soon. Could This Be the Final Season? There's a rumor swirling that Season 5 might be the end. Jeremy's hinted at needing a break, telling fans at a Q&A that he's 'not sure' about more seasons unless something big changes. Some think a Kaleb-led spin-off or yearly specials could follow, especially since Clarkson's become a surprising voice for farmers. Nothing's set in stone, but the show's massive following might convince Amazon to keep it going. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
