Lance Stroll will return for this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix after undergoing a 'successful medical procedure' following pain in his hand and wrist.
The Canadian, 26, missed the Spanish Grand Prix last time out but Aston Martin confirmed his return to the car in time for his home race in Montreal on Sunday.

'We are pleased to confirm that Lance Stroll will be back with the team competing in Montreal this weekend,' a team statement read on Wednesday.
'He had a successful medical procedure to resolve the symptoms he has been experiencing and completed some laps in an old F1 car at Paul Ricard earlier this week.
'Lance is feeling fit and healthy, and is excited to compete in front of his home crowd.'
Stroll added: 'I am excited to get back behind the wheel with the team for my home Grand Prix this weekend. I was always going to fight hard to be ready to race in front of the Montreal crowd.
'I'm feeling good after my procedure and put some laps in at Paul Ricard this week to prepare. Thanks for all the support, see you guys this weekend.'
Stroll has made 174 starts in Formula 1 since joining the grid with Williams in 2017. He switched to Racing Point in 2019 before the team rebranded to Aston Martin in 2021.
He has three career podiums and finished 13th in the drivers' standings last season. This year, he sits 12th after nine races.

Oilers GM Defends Team Goalies After Second Stanley Cup Loss
Oilers GM Defends Team Goalies After Second Stanley Cup Loss originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Edmonton Oilers fell short in the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight year to the Florida Panthers, but general manager Stan Bowman isn't blaming the crease. Advertisement Despite a postseason save percentage of .888 across Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard, Bowman argued that Edmonton's goaltending gave them an edge in three of four rounds. "Just this playoff run is a perfect example," Bowman said. "In three of the four rounds, we had better goaltending than our opponent. You look at (Los Angeles Kings' Darcy) Kuemper, (Vegas Golden Knights goalie) Adin Hill, and (Dallas Stars' Jake) Oettinger, our goalies were better than theirs in each of those series." "I think that's the reason we went to the final." Edmonton's tandem was outplayed by Florida Panthers netminder Sergei Bobrovsky in the Final, and Bowman acknowledged his greatness. Advertisement "I'm not disputing that in the final Bobrovsky was excellent," Bowman said. "He made a lot of big saves when we had chances early in games, and we didn't get the lead." "Credit to him, or our players needed to pick the corners better. Like, it's one of the two." Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid (97) congratulates goaltender Calvin Pickard (30) after defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 at T-Mobile R. Sylvanie-Imagn Images For those asking for a change between the Oilers' pipes, Bowman pointed to the limited supply of elite options league-wide as the reason it's going to be hard to upgrade in net. 'The way the reality of the world is, it's not like you just go down to the corner and pick up an elite goalie,' Bowman said. 'They're not just waiting for you to join your team, right? How many are there anyway in that group?' Advertisement The general manager, however, admitted changes will happen and impact the roster, mostly regarding the forward lines and possibly the goalie rotation. 'We're going to examine not just our goalies, but our whole team,' Bowman said. 'It could involve the goaltending, it could not.' Bears QB Caleb Williams explains why Packers fans 'suck'
There is no love lost between fans of the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, and quarterback Caleb Williams is adding even more fuel to the fire. During an appearance at Fanatics Fest on Friday, Williams was asked about the fan base he dislikes, and the Packers came right to mind. While there's certainly the rivalry aspect at play here, Williams detailed one experience from when the Bears were celebrating their last-second 24-22 over the Packers in the season finale. "After the game, after we won at Lambeau -- 1-0 at Lambeau," Williams said, via Ryan Garcia. "So obviously we tried to do the Lambeau leap -- we actually tried to jump in the crowd where our fans were. They started throwing everything at you, they push you off -- and the Lambeau leap it's a real leap, it's not a little baby jump. You actually have to high jump basically. They're pushing you, pushing your face." Williams also had another bad encounter with a Packer fan on the way to the Fanatics Fest, where he "got run down for six blocks" in his car. While Williams grew up idolizing Aaron Rodgers, he insists he wasn't a Packers fan. And now, safe to say, that animosity towards Green Bay will only grow as he leads the Bears in one of the NFL's most historic rivalries. Williams is off to a solid start against the Packers going 1-1 in his rookie season -- and he should very well be 2-0 if not for a blocked Cairo Santos field goal at Soldier Field. A Software Update Fixed Our Volvo EX30's Most Annoying Quirk
I watched a whole bunch of videos on YouTube showing European-spec EX30s where the feature could easily be turned off, but the menus on our U.S.-spec EX30 are different. A Volvo spokesperson confirmed that our car would need a software fix to resolve this issue, and unfortunately, despite having over-the-air update capabilities, the EX30 would need to make a trip to the dealer. My advice: If you own a Volvo EX30 and are similarly annoyed by this undefeatable feature, take your car to the dealer and ask for the version 1.5.3 software upgrade. It can be turned around the same day and doesn't cost anything. Don't wait around for an over-the-air update that'll never come. Are all of our tech issues resolved? Not quite … The EX30 is so much nicer to live with following the 1.5.3 update; 27 audio notifications over the course of 22 miles is just insane. But our subcompact Volvo isn't free of tech gremlins — at least, not yet. For what it's worth, we also had some problems with a recent Volvo EX90 test. We're still having trouble maintaining reliable wireless Apple CarPlay connections while driving. On a couple of occasions now, the CarPlay portion of the EX30's infotainment screen will go completely black. Meanwhile, the rest of the software operates as intended — well, mostly; when this CarPlay freakout happens, the audio volume controls stop working, which is weird.
