Little Mix's Jesy Nelson to 'open up' in new docuseries

RTÉ News20-05-2025

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson will feature in a new Prime Video docuseries where she will "really open up and say goodbye to the past".
The six-part series, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, will also follow the star through her high-risk pregnancy in the run-up to the premature birth of her twins, born this month.
Nelson, 33, is best known for being a former member of the pop group Little Mix, which rose to fame after winning X Factor in 2011.
After nearly a decade together, with chart-topping singles including their winning song Cannonball, Shout Out To My Ex and Wings, the singer decided to leave the group in December 2020.
The docuseries will take a closer look into her decision to leave Little Mix, her struggle with mental health and fame, as well as the journey of motherhood.
Nelson said: "Letting the cameras in wasn't an easy decision for us as it's such a deeply personal time, but I knew I wanted to tell my story in my own words.
"We opened the doors fully and I'm really looking forward to letting you all in as I navigate my way to becoming a first time mum to our beautiful baby girls Ocean and Story.
"I'll be honest, it's not been easy as it's been such a high-risk pregnancy, so you'll see all the highs and lows and rollercoaster of emotions we have been going through.
"I hope you will all join me on this journey as I really open up and say goodbye to the past and enter this new chapter in my life. I hope you love it as much as we do."
Nelson announced her pregnancy with her partner, musical artist Zion Foster, in January and has documented her complications on her social media including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition which has been described by the NHS as an abnormality of the placenta.
She gave birth to the two twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, on May 15 saying in an Instagram caption: "Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days."
"It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We've never felt more in love."

Murderer Behind The Mask Prime Video, streaming now True crime isn't just the purview of Netflix, you know, and this Prime Video offering about Elaine O'Hara and Graham Dwyer hits particularly close to home. It highlights how An Garda Síochana meticulously pieced together the truth, turning an overlooked case into one of Ireland's most haunting murder trials. Back in September 2013, the remains of childcare worker O'Hara were discovered in the Dublin mountains. Initially believed to be a suicide, her case took a twisted tangent when fishermen stumbled upon crucial evidence leading to Dwyer, a respected architect who lived in Foxrock with his wife and kids. Beneath his carefully crafted facade lurked a secret life fuelled by a dark stabbing obsession, revealed through his disturbing text exchanges with O'Hara. Over the course of two 45-minute instalments, this Wag Entertainment-produced series purports to uncover how the investigation unfolded and the tragic story behind Elaine's murder. The Waterfront Netflix, streaming now From the makers of Dawson's Creek and Scream, we have this deliciously ridiculous number inspired by true events. It centres on the Buckley family, who have ruled Havenport, North Carolina, for decades. Now, with their patriarch, Harlan (Holt McCallany), recovering from multiple heart attacks (not helped by his predilection for impromptu punching sessions with his son), they resort to drug smuggling courtesy of a surprising face (belonging to Topher Grace). The Many Deaths of Nora Dalmasso Netflix, streaming now She wasn't rich, famous, or part of the swinger set. Rather 'a symbol of what happens to those who stray from the patriarchal mould'. In other unsolved murder documentaries on Netflix, we have I'm Your Venus, landing on Monday.

Murderer Behind the Mask killer Graham Dwyer and his life today

A brand new harrowing series documenting a real murder is set to air this weekend. Murderer Behind the Mask is set to air on Prime Video this week and will feature the murder of Elaine O'Hara who went missing in the Dublin Mountains back in 2012. It will explore the police investigation as well as how murderer Graham Dwyer was captured. A synopsis reads: "When Elaine O'Hara goes missing in the Dublin Mountains in 2012, police assume she has taken her own life. But over a year later, a chance discovery of items found in a lake by a group of fishermen, lead to a body of a young women, sparking an incredible murder investigation, and leading to a very surprising suspect." Ahead of the new documentary, dubbed a "must watch" for true crime fans, who is Graham Dwyer and where is he now? Graham Dwyer was a seemingly normal father and family man who was also a successful architect. But people did not realise he was leading a sordid double life. From Dublin, Dwyer was happily married until police soon unravelled his "double life of twisted kinks and violent fetishes". He was charged with the murder of Elaine O'Hara in 2013, one year after she went missing. Elaine was reported missing in 2012, with the police suspecting she had taken her own life, but in 2013 her remains were discovered in Killakee wood. Unusual items were also found in a reservoir by a fisherman including bondage items and keys. In 2015 he was found guilty of the murder, despite his denials. Prior to his incarceration, Dwyer did not have a criminal record with no-one suspecting his shocking secret. He had a fascination with stabbing fetishes and BDSM. But when Elaine's remains were found, it was not long before police soon connected the dots to Dwyer after finding a string of harrowing text messages he had sent. Following the horrific murder and the trial, the case soon became one of Ireland's most notorious murder cases, garnering nationwide attraction. The documentary will show the police investigation from the moment Elaine O'Hara was reported missing, right through to Dwyer's conviction. Preview clips have shown the moment of his arrest where he was described as "arrogant" and "fighting back". It was later said of Dwyer: "He knew there was a chance her death would be classed as a suicide." Graham Dwyer was served a life sentence in 2015 after being found guilty of murder. Maintaining his innocence, he has attempted to appeal his conviction. However, his latest appeal at the Supreme Court was rejected. He is now in his tenth year of imprisonment and will remain their for the remainder of his sentence. The shocking case is being revisited in a documentary available on Prime Video, which delves into the unfolding of the case and Dwyer's trial. Murderer Behind the Mask can be streamed on Prime Video on June 21.
