A MAN suspected of murdering Lyons gang kingpins Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr would have bolted if granted bail, a court heard.
Michael Riley, 44, of Merseyside was deemed a flight risk when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday.

The double-murder suspect was remanded in custody during the brief hearing following his arrest on Friday.
And we can now reveal lawyers acting for Riley didn't make a bail application ahead of a second court date on Thursday when the alleged hitman is due to appear via video link.
The court heard Riley was 'likely to abscond' if given his liberty while facing such grave allegations.
The serious nature of the offences he faces was noted in the decision to remand Riley who is the subject of an extradition warrant by Spanish authorities over the murders of the Scots duo.
We told how Riley was detained in Liverpool two weeks after the Lyons gang kingpins were gunned down in Monaghan's Irish pub in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.
Sources claim the alleged hitman fled across the border to Portugal then back to the UK.
A Spanish National Police spokesman said: "The arrest took place in Liverpool on Friday.
"It was carried out by Merseyside Police at the request of the Spanish National Police. The investigation is ongoing."
An underworld source last night told The Scottish Sun Riley is not known to cartel figures here or in Manchester.
They said: "The name doesn't mean anything to the Scottish boys.

"We had heard before it was a Scouser and that now seems to have been correct because they obviously won't have lifted this guy for no reason.

Monaghan, 43, and Lyons, 46 - top figures in Glasgow's Lyons gang - were shot dead after they watched the Champions League final on May 31.

The double hit comes amid a violent turf war that has raged in Scotland since March.

These included seven Scots MPs: Reid, Katrina Murray, Tracy Gilbert, Patricia Ferguson, Johanna Baxter, Kirsteen Sullivan and Richard Baker. ‌ The UK Government announcement follows the Independent Porn Review, which was conducted by Tory peer Gabby Bertin. The review found that pornography has effectively established strangulation during sex as a 'sexual norm'. ‌ It also found that pornography has helped cause a belief that strangling a partner during sex is 'safe' because it is believed to be non-fatal. This is despite overwhelming evidence that is is believed there is no safe way to strangle a person. UK Minister for Victims and tackling Violence Against Women and Girls Alex Davies-Jones said: "Depicting strangulation during sex is not only dangerous, but also degrading, with real life consequences for women. "Cracking down on the appalling rise of strangulation pornography will protect women and send a clear signal to men and boys that misogyny will not be tolerated." This pledge by the Labour Government is part of its vow to halve violence against women and girls during its time in office.

Three cops have been off for more than three years.
