Spartans listed as finalist for 3-star California OL prospect ahead commitment next month Michigan State is battling it out with the likes of UCLA, Stanford and Vanderbilt for a three-star offensive lineman from California
Michigan State football is one of eight schools still in the mix for a three-star California offensive lineman that will be announcing his college decision next month.
Quinn Buckey of Bakersfield, Calif. revealed his top eight schools he'll be considering as he leads up to his commitment next month. Buckey is down to the following schools: Michigan State, UCLA, California, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Arizona, Vanderbilt and Stanford.
Buckey is listed as a three-star offensive tackle in the 2026 class. He holds a rating of 87 on 247Sports.
Buckey ranks as the No. 74 offensive tackle in the class, according to 247Sports. He is also listed as the No. 85 player from California in the class.
Buckey announced last week that he'll be officially committing on June 13. This will come after numerous official visits, including a trip to Michigan State last month.

The Oregon Ducks are hosting 5-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho on an essential official visit this weekend, hoping to get him on board and in the 2026 recruiting class before he leaves town at the end of the weekend. It appears that they are going the extra mile to do so, as well. On Sunday morning, it came out that the Ducks extended an offer to Michael Iheanacho, the younger brother of Immanuel. Michael is a member of the 2028 class, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound offensive tackle who is currently unrated by 247Sports. Advertisement Meanwhile, Immanuel stands as one of the most significant players on Oregon's recruiting board in the 2026 class, rated as the No. 8 overall player in the class while standing at 6-foot-6, 345 pounds. He is considering Oregon alongside the Penn State Nittany Lions, LSU Tigers, and Auburn Tigers. Iheanacho has set a commitment date for August 5, but there is some speculation that he could end up announcing his commitment as soon as Sunday before his visit is over. Florida football lands first 2027 commitment from blue-chip athlete Tramond Collins
Florida football landed its first commitment from the 2027 recruiting class this weekend from four-star athlete Tramond Collins following his appearance at the program's annual Grille in the Ville event. The 6-foot-2-inch, 183-pound prospect out of Cottondale (Florida) who is also listed at wide receiver by 247Sports chose the Gators over seven total offers, which also include the Florida State Seminoles, Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Volunteers. Billy Napier and Co. put on a show for the young recruit on Saturday, which was clearly enough to earn the verbal pledge. Collins amassed 661 yards on 31 carries and nine rushing touchdowns while catching 13 passes for 402 passing yards and six touchdowns during his high school sophomore campaign. On defense, he recorded 33 tackles, two fumble recoveries and one interception. The Sunshine State product is also a standout on the track and the basketball court. Collins earned the regional title in the 200-meter dash last season, running times of 10.89 in the 100-meter dash and 21.89 in the 200-meter dash; he averaged 13.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game on the parquet.
