PM to launch projects worth Rs 9.5k crore in Siwan on June 20
Patna: PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stone for various projects worth Rs 9,519 crore during his Siwan visit on June 20, said health minister Mangal Pandey. The schemes include those of Siwan urban development department (UDHD) and Ram Janaki Path, he said.
This will be PM Modi's fourth visit to Bihar this year. Assembly election is scheduled in the state in Oct-Nov.
The administration is on high alert. District magistrate Aditya Prakash said special arrangements are being made keeping in mind the monsoon and rain conditions to avoid any problem from parking to the meeting place. Parking lots have been marked at 20 places around the village. Arrangements for drinking water, shed, road, electricity, cleanliness etc.
are being improved, he said.
An official of the UDHD said on Sunday that 4-5 submersible tube wells were being installed around the venue in view of the summer heat.
Chief secretary Amrit Lal Meena has reviewed the preparations and assigned several tasks to the DMs of Siwan and Gopalganj and Saran districts.
BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal said that Modi is coming to Bihar for the 52nd time in 11 years of his tenure as PM.

He will address lakhs of people from Siwan, Saran and Gopalganj and other districts at Jasoli village under Pachrukhi block in Siwan. "PM's Siwan visit will be historic as the rally to be held there will break the record of all the previous rallies," he claimed.
This will be PM Modi's fourth visit to Bihar this year. Earlier, he addressed a rally at Bikramganj in Rohtas district on May 30 after a public meeting in Madhubani on April 24 where he launched development works worth over Rs13,480 crore. It was in Madhubani where PM Modi referred to the Pahalgam terror attack and said, "The terrorists responsible for this attack, along with those who conspired it, will face punishment beyond their imagination".
PM Modi also addressed a public meeting in Bhagalpur after releasing the 19th instalment of Kisan Samman Nidhi in February this year.

Rs 264 crore to be spent for more new 30 schools: Tripura CM Saha
Agartala (Tripura) [India], June 23 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said on Sunday that the state has already started adopting artificial intelligence (AI) in every sector and informed that 30 new schools will be set up with an expenditure of Rs 264 crore. While addressing a felicitation programme for secondary and HS passed students under Ramnagar Mandal, CM Saha said that during examinations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducts Pariksha Pe Charcha, where he emphasises how to remain stress-free during exams. 'The way he gives direction and speaks -- following the same approach, we also interact with students and share insights with them. As a result, we have seen a significant reduction in stress levels. I don't think such initiatives are happening anywhere else in the world. Even through the Mann Ki Baat programme, he connects with people. The work of PM Modi will be scripted in golden letters in history, and someday, research will also be conducted on it,' he said. CM Saha, who is also the education minister, said that AI has already been introduced to the state in this digital era. 'Students have to depend on themselves and keep learning. Around 44 schools have received new buildings. 'In the 2024-25 financial year, infrastructure development in around 350 schools will be carried out with an expenditure of Rs 80 crore.
