Thousands gather for Three Counties Show in Malvern
Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the Three Counties Show in Malvern over the weekend. The event, from 13 to 15 June, will showcase some of the best in British farming, food and the countryside.Organiser Alice Arnold said the site was looking "amazing" and she was excited by what was on offer over the weekend."There's over 1,500 competitions taking place across the show from flowers to forestry," she said.
"We've got 8,000 animals on site for the three days, we will hand out over 9,500 rosettes and we have £125,000 worth of prize money people can get their hands on."Ms Arnold added that for the first time the showground would also host a "home of heritage section" displaying rural crafts and skills."It will explore preserving rural crafts and buildings, like stone walling, making things out of wood or felting," Ms Arnold said.
The origins of the Three Counties Show can be traced back to 1798 in Herefordshire. The Herefordshire Agricultural Society later merged with counterparts in Worcestershire in 1894, and then in Gloucestershire in 1922.The result was the Three Counties Agricultural Society, and the name of the show.Ross-on-Wye farmer Ally Hunter-Blair said the event was like Christmas for the farming community."Setting up last night felt like Christmas Eve, getting ready for it all," he said. "We've got farmer Will from Love Island and JB Gill, talking about the future of farming as well as the most famous man in farming right now, Kaleb Cooper."It gives a chance to the agricultural community to come together share some joy but also for everybody else to see thousands of animals, machinery , timber sports, cookery demos and more trade stands than you'd ever be able to get around."

Former Love Island winner Jess Harding hits out at 'b**chy' 2025 contestant
Jess Harding, who won ITV's Love Island back in 2023, has shared her thoughts on current contestant Antonia 'Toni' Laites - who has been causing drama in the villa Former Love Island winner Jess Harding has lashed out at one of the current contestants in a scathing social media post. The 2025 season of ITV's long-running reality dating show began earlier this month and 16 contestants are currently housed in the villa. But tensions have been bubbling between some of the contestants and 24-year-olds Antonia 'Toni' Laites and Emily Moran have clashed while taking part in the show. Viewers were startled to see Toni accuse Emily of sticking her nose in her business during a fiery exchange that aired on Friday night. Jess, 24 - who won Love Island in 2023 alongside then-boyfriend Sammy Root, 24 - was among those watching at home to take to social media to dissect the unsettling scenes. The reality star shared her shock at Toni's outburst against Emily. Siding with the British star, Jess accused American bombshell Toni of being "b**chy". In a message shared via Instagram stories, the star wrote: "Ok what the hell, just because someone isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean you can cause a big drama over it?!" Jess continued: "Toni girl I loved you but I don't like b****y behaviour & pulling crying behaviour." And she added: "Why can't the girls be 1 big group cos these men be acting CRAZY." On Friday night, fans saw tension escalate between Toni and Emily as the 2025 season endured one of its most dramatic arguments so far. Friction came to a head after the two ladies took a near instant dislike to each other after Emily entered the villa as a bombshell on day five. Toni's feather's were ruffled when she overheard a conversation between Emily and Irish contestant Conor Phillips, 25. The American bombshell then found a confidant in Shakira Khan, 22, who she shared her frustrations with. But Emily later accused Toni of talking behind her back, while fellow Islander Megan 'Meg' Moore, 25, warned Emily that Toni had branded her "nosey" and "Little Miss Sunshine." An almighty row erupted, with Emily despairing that Toni was "just trying to cause a problem," and "she's f****g nuts." All the drama could be helping generate interest in the long-running show, however. While the 2025 season got off to a low viewership start when it launched on 9 June, the audience then reportedly grew by 1.7 million streams on ITVX after the first episode aired. Some past contestants have started campaigning for the series to be axed, however, and the show has a long history of being tied to the tragic mental health declines of past contestants. This weekend, Malin Andersson, who starred on the show in 2016, voiced her concerns about the way the series is made. She told The Mirror: "It should be axed. When I was on it, we were naive, it felt more organic – still scripted but more authentic. Even then, it wasn't pure, it was full of toxicity. Now millions watch it, especially young people, and their idea of love gets completely skewed." She added: "I felt disposable, like a piece of rubbish tossed aside. In there, you're fighting to be seen, to be a main character, seeking validation. It's not healthy – it creates unrealistic drama and messes up how viewers see love." Love Island has come under fire in the past for failing to support contestant that take part in the series - however, strict after care rules were introduced in 2019 after the deaths of former contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.

Love Island star admits 'I lost everything' including flat after blowing money
EXCLUSIVE: Love Island favourite Anna Vakili has remained in the spotlight ever since she left the villa back in 2019 but it's not all been smooth sailing for the pharmacist turned podcast host Anna Vakili was forced to move out of her flat after spending all the money she made on the back of Love Island. The 34-year-old brunette beauty shot to fame on the fifth series of ITV2 dating show back in 2019 alongside the likes of Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard. Over the past six years, Anna has remained firmly in the limelight and is now the host of the popular Sisters In The City podcast alongside her lookalike sibling Mandi Vakili. The dynamic duo have recently finished their sold out tour but Anna has revealed it hasn't been an easy ride since leaving the famous villa. Speaking on behalf of WhichBingo, Anna revealed: "Going on Love Island is great but it can go up and go down. "I made so much money when I came off Love Island but I got so excited I spent all of it and at one point I lost everything and had move out of my flat. "Now with the podcast it's gone back up and I'm not making the same mistakes I did when I was first out of Love Island. I'm going to be smart this time. "I grew up most of my life struggling for money and suddenly I got money and I didn't know how to manage it but you live and you learn and I'm lucky I've been given another chance." Before singing up for Love Island, Anna worked as a pharmacist and she returned to help out during the coronavirus lockdown but has since been forced to take a break from the role. She explained: "I was a pharmacist but I was probably the strangest pharmacist you'll ever meet with my fake tits and fake arse. I try to stay in it a little bit but I couldn't keep up with it. "What I do now is so different to pharmacy and I really enjoy this and that was really boring. The money is incomparable which is so sad because you study so hard." Anna went on to share some words of wisdom to the sexy singletons currently taking part in Love Island series 12 and confirmed that she won't be returning for All Stars. She said: "My advice would be when you come out be smart with your money and be smart with your cloud, do something with it. Find what you're good at and do it. "I'm just so grateful that after six years that I'm still in this industry but I just think there's no point of me doing All Stars because I know everyone and I know no one is going to be for me. "I'm open to other dating shows and Love Island Games because there's people from all over the world but not All Stars because the people on there are not my cup of tea." Love Island airs Sunday to Thursday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
