‘No excuse to behave like this': Swedish tourist claims Uber driver left him stranded on Delhi highway in blazing heat, company apologises
Jonas, a Swedish tourist and travel vlogger, had set out to explore Delhi. However, he had an unsettling experience with his Uber Intercity ride. Sharing details of the incident, Jonas alleged that the Uber driver staged a fake breakdown and demanded cash for supposed 'repairs'. When Jonas refused to pay, the driver left him stranded on a highway under the scorching Delhi sun.
Recounting the experience, Jonas also shared that the ride seemed normal until the driver abruptly stopped the car on a busy road, claiming it had broken down.
In the caption of the Instagram reel he posted, capturing the cab, Jonas explained that he immediately reached out to Uber for help. While the company did respond, their solution only added to his frustration. 'They sorted me out with not one, not two, but three replacement rides, all cancelled on me. I assume as I was on the highway,' he wrote.
Though he eventually made it back safely, Jonas said it was without any assistance from Uber. 'Got home all well no thanks to Uber, with another story to tell,' he said in the video.

Following the post going viral, Uber India issued a public apology, informing that it had taken action. 'Hi Jonas, we apologise for this frustrating experience. Our specialised team has investigated and taken appropriate action.'
Several social media users reacted to the video, sharing similar incidents. 'So sorry, Sir. We Indians are also facing this situation with these online taxi apps,' a user wrote. 'Sincere apologies on the drivers behalf.. there is no excuse to behave like this,' another user commented.
'Uber really need to get some cars and drivers on their payroll instead of relying on freelancers. These freelancers often demand extra money and don't accept rides,' a third user reacted.

Revolt Motors rolls out 50,000th electric motorcycle
Revolt Motors has marked a production milestone with the rollout of its 50,000th electric motorcycle from its manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana. The unit, an RV1+ in Titan Red Silver, is part of the company's electric motorcycle line-up and reflects growing consumer demand for electric two-wheelers. The company stated that this milestone represents continued customer trust and growing acceptance of electric mobility. According to Revolt, the vehicle embodies its focus on sustainable, AI-integrated mobility designed and built in India. Revolt Motors currently operates more than 200 dealerships across India and has recently entered international markets such as Nepal and Sri Lanka. The Manesar plant has an installed capacity of 1.8 lakh units annually. The company has plans to increase its production capacity to over 3 lakh units by the end of 2026. Anjali Rattan, Chairperson, RattanIndia Enterprises, said, 'This 50 ,000th motorcycle carries more than a chassis number – it carries the aspirations of lakhs of Indians who believe in a cleaner, more progressive future. It symbolises every customer who made the shift to electric. It reflects every team member who worked tirelessly on the assembly line, and every kilometre that challenged convention." Revolt's current portfolio includes the RV400, RV1+, and RV BlazeX. The models come equipped with lithium-ion batteries, riding modes, regenerative braking, and suspension calibrated for Indian road conditions. Looking ahead, Revolt Motors plans to expand its dealer network to 400 locations and introduce additional models. The company aims to strengthen its presence not only in India but also across South Asia and the Middle East.

Volvo S90 Sedan Discontinued In India; Brand Shifts To All SUV Lineup
Volvo Cars India has eliminated the S90 luxury sedan from its lineup. The car has been delisted from the automaker's official website. This comes at a time when the global market has just received an updated version of the vehicle. The version that was on sale in India was launched in 2021 and had recently received a facelift. With this change in place, the Swedish automaker now has an all-SUV lineup in the country. Volvo's current lineup consists of the XC90 SUV, which comes at a starting price of Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom) and is the flagship SUV of the brand. It shares the ICE space with the relatively smaller XC60, which comes at Rs 70.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the electric vehicle lineup consists of the EC40, which has a starting price of Rs 59 lakh (ex-showroom), and the EX40, which starts at Rs 50.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The Volvo S90, while it was on sale, had a price tag of Rs 68.25 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against models like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BMW 5 Series. Under the hood, the S90 had a 2.0-litre four-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine, giving out 250 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque at the peak of its performance. It came paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the international market Volvo has launched the S90 with mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Along with it, the Swedish automaker has already unveiled an all-electric version of the sedan called the ES90. This iteration of the vehicle comes with a 106 kWh battery pack, which offers a range of up to 700 km on a single charge. To expand its lineup in India, the brand is planning to launch the Volvo EX30. The EV will likely be introduced by the end of 2025. This will be followed by the launch of the EX90, adding to the range of electric SUVs on sale in the country.
