Revolt Motors has marked a production milestone with the rollout of its
50,000th electric motorcycle
from its manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana. The unit, an RV1+ in Titan Red Silver, is part of the company's electric motorcycle line-up and reflects growing consumer demand for electric two-wheelers.
The company stated that this milestone represents continued customer trust and growing acceptance of electric mobility. According to Revolt, the vehicle embodies its focus on sustainable,
AI-integrated mobility
designed and built in India.
Revolt Motors currently operates more than 200 dealerships across India and has recently entered international markets such as Nepal and Sri Lanka. The Manesar plant has an installed capacity of 1.8 lakh units annually. The company has plans to increase its production capacity to over 3 lakh units by the end of 2026.
Anjali Rattan, Chairperson, RattanIndia Enterprises, said, 'This
50
,000th motorcycle carries more than a chassis number – it carries the aspirations of lakhs of Indians who believe in a cleaner, more progressive future. It symbolises every customer who made the shift to electric. It reflects every team member who worked tirelessly on the assembly line, and every kilometre that challenged convention."
Revolt's current portfolio includes the RV400, RV1+, and RV BlazeX. The models come equipped with lithium-ion batteries, riding modes, regenerative braking, and suspension calibrated for Indian road conditions.
Looking ahead, Revolt Motors plans to expand its dealer network to 400 locations and introduce additional models. The company aims to strengthen its presence not only in India but also across South Asia and the Middle East.

Stock indices gain 1.3%, mirroring Asian markets

Benchmark stock indices broke their three-day losing streak and gained 1.3%, buoyed by robust Asian market performance and advancing U.S. futures. Despite opening marginally lower, the indices swiftly moved upwards and sustained momentum throughout the trading session. The S&P BSE Sensex closed at 82,408 points, up 1,046 points, or 1.29%, led by gains in heavy height stocks. Bharti Airtel gained 3.27%, M&M and PowerGrid gained 2.93% and 2.38%, respectively while Reliance and Nestle surged 2.16% and 1.97% respectively. The NSE Nifty-50 index, too, gained 319% or 1.29% to close at 25,112 points. 'Market sentiment experienced a pronounced bullish shift following President Donald Trump's announcement that he would determine within the forthcoming two weeks whether the United States would intervene in the Iran-Israel conflict. This geopolitical development provided the catalyst for renewed investor confidence,' said Devarsh Vakil, head of Prime Research, HDFC Securities. 'The return of optimistic sentiment to Dalal Street manifested in a comprehensive buying surge, as bulls initiated broad-based accumulation across sectors. This renewed appetite for risk assets propelled both flagship equity benchmarks — the Nifty 50 and Sensex — to rally in excess of 1% during Friday's trading session, underscoring the market's renewed vigour and investor conviction,' he added. Nifty Midcap 100 Index gained by 1.46%, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 Index rose over 1%. Market breadth turned positive after seven days, with advancing stocks sharply outpacing declining ones, as indicated by a BSE advance-decline ratio of 1.67, highest since June 9. The buying was broad-based, with all sectoral indices ending in the green. Amongst them, realty, PSU banks, metal, and auto sectors were the major outperformers, leading the charge from the front. All major sectoral indices ended in the green, indicating widespread optimism. Notable gains were seen in metal, PSU bank, realty, power, telecom, and capital goods, with each sectoral index rising between 1% and 2%.

I-T Dept's data analysis has nudged taxpayers to declare ₹30,298 crore of foreign assets, income

The Income Tax Department's efforts to match data obtained from other countries, including Switzerland, with income tax returns (ITRs) filed in India has resulted in taxpayers reporting additional foreign assets worth ₹29,208 crore and additional foreign income of ₹1,089.88 crore, the government said. In a statement issued on Friday evening, the Ministry of Finance also sought to address some allegations on social media that the black money of Indians stored in Swiss banks had ballooned. 'Some media reports have suggested that money deposited in bank accounts of Indian entities in Switzerland has increased,' the statement noted. 'It is reported that the data pertains to different types of funds, including deposits from enterprises, banks and individuals.' It added that Switzerland has been providing India annual financial information about Indian residents under the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) agreement signed by the two countries. The first such data transmission was in 2019 and has 'continued regularly' since then, 'covering even those accounts suspected of involvement in financial irregularities'. On the basis of such information received from other countries, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) undertakes a review of the data and identifies taxpayers whose cases require 'further verification', the statement added. 'For AY 2024-25 (FY 2023-24), CBDT compared the data shared under AEOI with the information about foreign assets and income filed in the ITRs by the taxpayers, for the purpose of verification,' the statement said. 'The analysis covered all jurisdictions, including Switzerland.' Following this, SMSs and emails were sent to various taxpayers whose foreign assets and incomes were not reported in the correct schedules of the ITRs asking them to review their returns. 'As a result, a total of 24,678 taxpayers reviewed their ITRs and 5,483 taxpayers filed their belated return for the A.Y.2024-25, reporting foreign assets valuing to Rs. 29,208 crores and additional income of Rs.1,089.88 crores as foreign income,' the statement said. 'Suitable action under the extant provision of law is under consideration for non-responsive taxpayers,' it added.
