‘Sixth Sense' actor apologizes after California ski resort arrest and slur

Yahoo18-04-2025

Actor Haley Joel Osment, best known for his role in the 1999 thriller 'The Sixth Sense,' is apologizing for using an antisemitic slur during his arrest at a California ski resort earlier this month.
Osment, 37, was arrested for public intoxication, possession of cocaine, and disorderly conduct at Mammoth Mountain on April 8. Video obtained by TMZ shows the actor being uncooperative as he tried to board a chairlift without his snowboard.
In police body camera footage obtained by People, Osment is seen allegedly hurling an antisemitic slur at an arresting officer and calling him a 'Nazi.'
'I'm absolutely horrified by my behavior,' Osment said in a statement shared with People on Thursday. 'Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner.'
Osment, who lost his Altadena, California, home in January's Eaton Fire, has reportedly been struggling with his insurance company. His statement continued:
'The past few months of loss and displacement have broken me down to a very low emotional place. But that's no excuse for using this disgusting word. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to absolutely everyone that this hurts. What came out of my mouth was nonsensical garbage — I've let the Jewish community down and it devastates me. I don't ask for anyone's forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake.'
In addition to his iconic role in 'The Sixth Sense,' Osment also starred in Steven Spielberg's 'A.I. Artificial Intelligence' (2001) and 'Secondhand Lions' (2003).
The Mammoth incident was not his first run-in with the law. In 2006, he was arrested and pleaded guilty to driving under the influence after a car crash.
In 2018, he was involved in a public scuffle at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas on Super Bowl Sunday.

All About David Corenswet's Wife, Julia Warner

Superman actor David Corenswet plays a man leading an epic double-life. The star has some experience there, because he keeps his off-screen world extremely private. Corenswet is married to his wife, Julia Best Warner, with whom he shares one child. But his Instagram is almost entirely promotion for the upcoming DC flick and he has shared very little info about his family. Here's everything that is known about Warner and her relationship with the superhero. Like Corenswet, Warner is an actor. Per her LinkedIn profile, she studied Fine Arts in Theater Arts Acting at Point Park University in Pittsburgh. According to her IMDb page, she has also tried her hand at producing and directing, and has credits with The Baby Sitters Pub, Ratched, and Pretty Little Things. In 2018, she wrote a tribute to her work at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She seems to be close to her family, and posted about cutting down the family Christmas tree with other Warners in 2020. And she and Corenswet share a Cavalier King Charles spaniel named Ira: 'He's less of a doggy, more of a toddler,' Corenswet told People, adding that the seven-year-old dog 'has a wonderful mohawk, a natural tuft of hair right between his eyes, which is the reason he's disqualified from being shown [making him] adoptable.' According to an interview with People in June 2025, the pair met as teenagers at a Pennsylvania summer theater program and had a 'slow-burn' romance. They were married in March 2023. In 2022, Warner shared a carousel of pics that included Corenswet. Corenswet and Warner welcomed a daughter in 2024, though they have kept her name private. In his interview with People, Corenswet said, 'I feel like I've been a dad for a long time, and just waiting for a kid to prove it. My dad was an enthusiastic father and stayed home with my sister for a period when she was very little, and was very good with kids. And so I think I just inherited that. I liked being a camp counselor, and I have terrible jokes that nobody laughs at.' The baby arrived in close conjunction with the beginning of his Superman journey, prompting him to add, 'Two big unknown things at the same time. And they were both great things.'

Dakota Johnson's ‘Ex' Chris Martin Makes Appearance Amid Breakup Rumors

Coldplay star Chris Martin has made his first public appearance since rumors of his breakup with Dakota Johnson surfaced on the internet. The 48-year-old English singer was spotted taking a walk in New York City on June 16. Chris Martin, rumored to be Dakota Johnson's ex-boyfriend, was seen in New York City with his son, Moses Martin. For his casual stroll in NYC, Martin opted for business-casual attire, sporting a black T-shirt, a blazer, and aviator sunglasses (via E! Online). Meanwhile, rumors of Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin started surfacing on June 4, three days after the Coldplay frontman urged his fans to watch 'Materialists' in theaters. A source told People that the breakup 'feels final this time.' Insiders close to the couple had previously claimed that Martin and Johnson had 'taken breaks' in their seven-year-long relationship. But they were at a 'great place' even in 2024. A source claimed last year, 'Sure, they've had issues and taken breaks in the past, but things are great now.' The insider added, 'They both love their careers. They are balancing things the best they can.' As for the reason for their 'final' breakup, sources claim that the Madame Web star tried to work their relationship out several times. An insider told Page Six, 'Dakota has been desperate for her and Chris to work out for years.' 'Every time they broke up, she was devastated and in tears,' the insider stated. The source further alleged, 'They really tried to work through their issues, but the age gap was often a problem. She'd (also) expressed that she may want children in the future, whereas Chris is kind of done with that part of his life.' While both Johnson and Martin love each other deeply, the source claimed, 'things were just never lining up for them, and it was very up and down.' 'It was very up and down,' the source added. Despite the rumored split, it seems like the singer and Johnson have an amicable connection. On June 1, Martin mentioned Johnson's new work at his final show in Stanford, California. The Grammy winner had gushed, 'Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other. Don't forget to see Materialists!'
