Bears rookie Luther Burden reacts to Packers releasing Jaire Alexander

The Chicago Bears are kicking off anew new era under new head coach Ben Johnson, where they have the firepower in place to become an explosive offense in the NFL.
Quarterback Caleb Williams will get to work with an offensive guru in Johnson while getting upgraded pass protection along the interior offensive line and plenty of weapons, including receivers DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and second-round rookie Luther Burden III.

While Chicago will battle some tough defenses, notably in their own division, they appear to have caught a break following the Green Bay Packers releasing former Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander.
Burden had a hilarious reaction to Alexander's release, commenting "Uh oh" under the NFL's Instagram post.
Following Alexander's release, the Packers appear to have the worst secondary in the NFC North, which certainly has Burden (and his Bears teammates) salivating ahead of their pair of 2025 matchups.
While Alexander wasn't necessarily at his best last season -- he only appeared in 14 games over the past two years due to injury -- there's no doubt Green Bay's defense was better with him in the game. In that span, the Packers were 10-4 with Alexander and 10-10 without Alexander.

As Green Bay's secondary gets worse, Chicago's weapons have gotten better. In addition to Moore, Odunze and Cole Kmet, the Bears added rookies Burden and Colston Loveland to produce in a Ben Johnson-led offense.
With Chicago defeating Green Bay for the first time in seven years in last season's finale, it certainly feels like the Bears-Packers rivalry is a rivalry again.

Basketball Fans Praising Angel Reese For 'Clever' Business Move

Basketball Fans Praising Angel Reese For 'Clever' Business Move originally appeared on The Spun. For a year now Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has been getting criticized for accumulating rebounds while struggling to score basic baskets. Reese seems to be taking advantage of that criticism with a "clever" little business move. Advertisement On Friday, Reese unveiled her new "MEBOUNDS" line of merchandise that she's trademarked and put on her website. The line includes various shirts and hats with the word "MEBOUNDS" such as a silhouette shirt and shirts with her phrase "Anything that comes off that board, it's mine!" Reese has said that the sales will go to her Angel C. Reese Foundation in the fight against cyberbullying. "MEBOUNDS, REESEBOUNDS, REBOUNDS… MERCH AVAILABLE NOW! Part of the proceeds are going to go to the Angel C. Reese foundation to help fight against cyberbullying!" she wrote on X. Reese's supporters have widely applauded the business move, praising how it addresses her detractors directly: Advertisement "Love this! Troll the haters," one user declared. "Might be the hardest clap back ever," wrote another. "Angel, the woman you are. And the cause the money is going to? Chef's kiss. I'm so glad to be a proud fan. Let me gonna and buy mine and support. Congrats!" a third wrote. "Your ability to rise above their organized hate gives me Joy. Shopping any of these merch should be fun." "The fact that part of the proceeds will be to help against cyber bullying is the biggest boss move! AR is clearly playing chess." If anything, they doubled down on the criticism by calling it a case of Reese being selfish and lacking self-awareness: Advertisement "I tried to buy it online but it kept bouncing out of my shopping basket," one user joked. "Never knew being bad at anything could get someone so much support! Shirts crazy!" another mocked. "So part of the proceeds are going to your own organization? Gods work… aspiring young girls to be mid with each tee shirt sold!" "Hopefully this will help you pay for your $7k rent or your mortgage in Clermont." At least Reese is going to be turning her biggest criticism into a new moneymaker. "I know I'm falling for the engagement trap by amplifying this but posts like this are terrible for ESPN's brand," FOS' Ryan Glasspiegel shared.
