Bears rookie Luther Burden reacts to Packers releasing Jaire Alexander
The Chicago Bears are kicking off anew new era under new head coach Ben Johnson, where they have the firepower in place to become an explosive offense in the NFL. Quarterback Caleb Williams will get to work with an offensive guru in Johnson while getting upgraded pass protection along the interior offensive line and plenty of weapons, including receivers DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and second-round rookie Luther Burden III. Advertisement While Chicago will battle some tough defenses, notably in their own division, they appear to have caught a break following the Green Bay Packers releasing former Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander. Burden had a hilarious reaction to Alexander's release, commenting "Uh oh" under the NFL's Instagram post. Following Alexander's release, the Packers appear to have the worst secondary in the NFC North, which certainly has Burden (and his Bears teammates) salivating ahead of their pair of 2025 matchups. While Alexander wasn't necessarily at his best last season -- he only appeared in 14 games over the past two years due to injury -- there's no doubt Green Bay's defense was better with him in the game. In that span, the Packers were 10-4 with Alexander and 10-10 without Alexander. Advertisement As Green Bay's secondary gets worse, Chicago's weapons have gotten better. In addition to Moore, Odunze and Cole Kmet, the Bears added rookies Burden and Colston Loveland to produce in a Ben Johnson-led offense. With Chicago defeating Green Bay for the first time in seven years in last season's finale, it certainly feels like the Bears-Packers rivalry is a rivalry again. Luther Burden Goes Viral With TikTok Dance, Fans React Sharply Online originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Bears are in the middle of mandatory minicamp, and while a few rookies are dealing with injuries, one first-year wide receiver—who is also among those dealing with an injury—is making headlines for something entirely different. With practice intensity ramping up and position battles underway, a viral moment from a rookie wideout is stirring up conversation off the field. Whether that's a good or bad thing? Well, that depends on who you ask. Advertisement Luther Burden III, 21, is already being called the steal of the draft by many fans and analysts. But it's not just his on-field promise that has people talking. A recent TikTok featuring the rookie wideout has exploded online, thanks to a post from Don Kleiman on X (formerly Twitter) captioned simply: 'Trending: Bears rookie WR Luther Burden has gone viral for his recent TikTok video'. The clip has already surpassed 700,000 views and continues to climb, drawing reactions across social media. In the video, Burden takes part in the trending 'She Was a Fairy Challenge,' a TikTok dance set to Myaap's song 'Fairy' that involves striking poses in rhythm with the beat. The reaction? Mixed—at best. Some fans were quick to roast the moment, with comments like: 'And this is why Vrabel said I'm good' — a reference to Mike Vrabel, the new head coach of the New England Patriots. A rarely available home on Pomander Walk in NYC is for sale
A home is now available on one of New York City's most exclusive streets — and it's straight out of an old English play. The $749,000 two-bedroom unit sits along Pomander Walk, a 104-year-old gated enclave on the Upper West Side. The idyllic co-op community — with its mock-Tudor style, plus blue, green and red shutters and doors — is like nothing else in Manhattan. Vistabee Advertisement 'It feels like you're on a TV series from BritBox,' said Compass agent Cole Burden, who is co-listing the property with Nest Seekers' Natalie Weiss. 'It's a very special experience.' Listings on Pomander Walk are exceedingly rare. The secret street's 27 homes, totaling 60 units, reside off of the city's standard street grid — akin to Sylvan Terrace in Washington Heights. The micro-neighborhood is tucked away between West 94th and 95th streets, just blocks away from Riverside Park and Central Park. 11 A rendering shows a furnished vision of the two-bedroom home. The home includes two bedrooms and one bathroom, with a small kitchen and neat built-ins. Burden said he was originally brought in to prepare the apartment for sale through his company SimplifyNYC, which he co-owns alongside his partner Caleb Dicke. Burden described the home as a renovation project. 'We've priced this in a place where buyers have some opportunity to really come in and make this property their own,' he said. Burden and Weiss both have a special connection to the unique community — Burden told The Post that he first discovered the close-knit community in his 20s, through a close friend that lived there, and Weiss grew up on Pomander Walk. 11 A still image from the 1910 play 'Pomander Walk,' by Louis N. Pomander Walk's bucolic, old-world charm was directly inspired by the set of a popular play of the same name. The historical British comedy 'Pomander Walk' premiered in 1910 and details nine days in the lives of couples living along a row of houses facing the River Thames. It has been reported that stars like Humphrey Bogart, Rosalind Russel and Lilian Gish once owned homes along the otherworldly lane. The home includes a $2,000 monthly maintenance fee, according to the listing, with amenities like a live-in super, porter service, bicycle storage and private storage units available to residents.
